《The Tutor | LaMelo Ball》𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝟸𝟹

I walk inside of my house and I fling my body onto my bed.
I scroll through Instagram because I don't have anything to do.
It's Friday night and I am stuck here.
I keep scrolling through Instagram and I see a flyer for a beach party that's happening tonight.
I text Clarissa and Tracy to see if they want to come with me to the party.
A few minutes later, they text me back saying that it sounds like fun.
I jump out of my bed and I run to my closet.
"Cute jumpsuit?" I asked myself while looking through my clothes in my closet.
"Aha!" I exclaim while pulling the suit out of my closet.
It's an all black suit with a V cut that shows just enough cleavage.
I put on a white cover up and a cute matching scarf.
I look at myself in the mirror and I nod in approval.
"You look good, girl!"
While walking towards my moms room, I put on a cute necklace and I spray some perfume on my wrist.
I open her room door and I see my mom sitting on her bed watching television.
I look at her and I take a seat next to her causing her to look at me.
"You look cute!" My mom states, hyping me up.
"Thanks Mom," I smile at her.
There is a slight moment of silence and then I finally speak.
"Is it okay if I go out with a couple of friends?" I asked.
My mom nods her head and she grabs her purse from beside her.
She reaches in her purse and grabs two twenty dollar bills.
"Here's forty bucks just in case!" My mom states.
She hands me the money and I thank her.

"Be safe, don't crash my car!"
"Will do!"
I go into a cabinet and I grab a beach towel and a pop up beach chair before walking out the door.
—————
By the time I get to the beach it is five forty five.
I grab my chair and I place it on my back.
The chair has a holder part so it can go on your back.
I grab my towel and I fling it over my shoulder after that, I get my phone out and I call Tracy.
She answers on the third ring.
"Hey, I'm here. Where are you?" I asked.
"I'm almost there, Clarissa should be there already. She said she was with LaMelo,"
"It's just them two?" I asked.
"Yeah,"
"No Jose?"
"No, not yet..." Tracy trails off. "Why are you so worried about Jose?"
I giggle to myself.
"I was just wondering if he was coming!"
"Mhm, okay!"
"I'm serious Tracy!" I laugh harder.
"If you've got feeling for him just let him know!"
Funny story, when I first met Jose I did like him a little bit but then the school year ended and we didn't see each other often because we didn't have any classes and the feelings went away.
"I don't like Jose!"
"That's a mean thing to say! I think I'm a very likable person!" A familiar voice says from behind me.
I smile to myself and I turn around.
Jose stands there with black swimming trunks on and no shirt.
Not gonna lie, he has a nice body.
I laugh again.
"Hey Tracy call me when you get here," I say into the phone.
"For sure,"
With that I hang up the phone and Jose pulls me into a hug.

"LaMelo and Clarissa are further down this way, but I was on my way to get some drinks... wanna come with me?"
I shrug my shoulder.
"Sure why not,"
Me and Jose walk to a juice bar place not too far from us.
"What can I get for you two today?"
"Can I have a Shirley Temple?" Jose asked.
"Sure, anything else?"
Jose glances at me.
"Can I get a Shirley Temple too?"
"Of course!" The worker says cheerfully. "Your total today is going to be...four thirty one!"
Jose hands the lady five dollars.
Once we get our change and drinks we head over to the other side of the beach.
"Thank you for the drink!" I smile up at Jose.
"Anytime, Day! You know I've got you!" Jose places an arm around me and I smile up at him.
We finally make it to our friends and there are a bunch of people.
Someone is playing music off of a speaker and another person it setting up a campfire.
"Hey Jose, hey Daya!" Clarissa says.
"Hi," I flash a smile her way.
"We're about to go play volleyball you guys wanna play too?" Clarissa asked.
"Oh, I'm a beast at volleyball!" Jose exclaims.
I place my chair down next to Clarissa's chair and I put my towel on top of my chair.
"Are we still playing or what?"
My heart skips a beat.
LaMelo.
LaMelo walks over and he has on red basketball shorts and a white tank top.
"We are going to the court right now," Jose says.
We all walk to a nearby volleyball court and Clarissa tosses me the ball.
"Who do you want on your team?" She asked.
Jose or LaMelo?
I look back and fourth between the two of them and I sigh.
"Since Jose said he was a beast, I'm picking him!"
"You ready to get this win Daya! " Jose walks to my side of the court and I smile at him.
"Let's get it!" I take off my swimsuit cover up and I feel two pairs of eyes on me.
I ignore them and I serve the ball to Clarissa.

What makes a terrifying villain? Is it ruthlessness? Is it how powerful they are and how many buildings they can down in one blow? Is it how hard they are to kill, contain, or get rid of in any manner? Is it their knowledge of a hero’s true identity in a world where secrets must be kept? Or is it perhaps how they seem to be perfect in all their actions, defeating the hero at every step of the way throughout to the last one, only to humiliate them one last time before declaring themselves the winner in the grand scheme of things? Isabella Blair is perfect. She knows all your moves before you even make them. All your ambushes are faced with traps and she dodges all your blows like it’s child’s play. Catching her is impossible because she’s always ten steps ahead of you. She says she calculated everything, but she messes up in every fight. She loses far more than she wins, sometimes a hundred times for just one small victory. Yet, she is perfect. How is that possible, you may ask. That’s because she has the uncanny ability to return to the past whenever she makes a mistake. All that’s left in the end can only be what’s perfect if all the realities in which you’ve lost are gone, after all. And that makes for one hell of a terrifying profile. Crossposting on ScribbleHub, SpaceBattles, and Wattpad. Don't mind the "Pre-Rewrite" Volume. It is there for reference until the story catches up to the chapter count via the Rewrite (and to justify the current reviews as there would be no context to them otherwise). If you are a first-time reader, feel free to start from the other Volume.

8 93Tanka and Haiku
Overview TankaThe tanka poem is very similar to haiku but tanka poems have more syllables and it uses simile, metaphor and personifacation. There are five lines in a Tanka poem. Tanka poems are written about nature, seasons, love, sadness and other strong emotions. This form of poetry dates back almost 1200 years ago.HaikuHaiku poetry hails from Japan and uses strict syllable guidelines rather than focusing on meter or rhyme. Because the poem is short only three lines with 17 total syllables writers must choose words carefully to create meaning. Haiku poetry is typically simplistic, but its meaning can have great depth.
