"YOU NEVER FUCKING LOVED ME! IT'S ALWAYS GEORGE ISN'T IT!"
"AT LEAST GEORGE WAS THERE FOR ME UNLIKE SOMEONE WHO WAS ALWAYS FOCUSED ON HIS FUCKED UP FAMILY!"
"AT LEAST I ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT MY FAMILY! YOU WEREN'T EVEN THERE AT YOUR OWN SONS RECITAL!"
"Y'KNOW WHAT! I DON'T EVEN LIKE TREASURE PLANET! THERE! I SAID IT!"
"I WISH I NEVER ASKED YOU OUT!"
"I WISH I NEVER MARRIED YOU!"
The kid continued telling his uncle what happened two days before. He comforted the smaller blonde while thinking of all the ways he would get back at that stupid fox and green bastard for hurting his nephew. He knew that their arguement was stupid, Dream loved treasure planet and Fundy would never regret asking him out. But the threaten of divorce and making their son stay with him for a few days seemed way too serious.
He closed the door of the room he was letting the nine year old stay in and pulled out his phone. He clicked the call button and walked down the hallway to the livingroom.
"Hey man, what up? You need something?"
"How much diamonds would it cost for me to test your code?"
"Really? I honestly would've paid someone to test it. I asked you last week if you would test it and you said no, what changed?"
"I am literally giving you a free test subject, Sam. Are you going to let me fucking use it or not?"
"Alright dude, is tomorrow okay for you?"
"How about tonight?"
"Oh umm sure, let me send it to you."
The blonde looked around the familiar grounds of spawn. "How the hell does it look better here than my time?" He walked to the hole in the ground and climbed out of the protected area. He opened the chat from his arm to make sure it didn't say he was here like the creeper man said it wouldn't. "Okay good. Time to find those dickheads."
Fundy was making sure everything was ready for his date. The screen was working and the food wasn't poisoned, everything was going smoothly so far. He whispered to Dream and asked if he was ready for "the best date of his life".

Dream was looking himself over in the mirror with Sapnap and George sitting at a table doing whatever. "Whaddya think?"
"I think this is stupid."
"C'mon, it'll be fun. I'll only be gone for a few hours. Don't you have your own husband to worry about?" George cringed at the mention of his wedding with Ninja. Dream checked the chat and saw Fundy had asked when he was ready.
"I'll be back in a bit. Don't have too much fun without me."
Tommy had heard about Fundy and Dream's date from Tubbo and was quietly watching the fox boy set it up. He felt a hand on his shoulder and turned around holding his sword up. The stranger put his hands up and mumbled something.
"Wilbur?" The man laughed and shook his head.
"No I just grew into his jacket. Now go back to pogtopia, Wilbur's looking for you."
"Don't fucking tell me what to do old man!" The man mumbled something again and pushed the out of the way. "Who the fuck are you?"
"Can't tell you, time paradox or some shit. But hey, Wilbur's your brother, remember that. So is Techno, be nice to him, he's emotional. And Dream is a bitchboy. Now go back to Pogtopia big man." The man patted Tommy on his shoulder and pushed him in the direction he snuck there.
Tommy turned around about to ask more useless questions but when he did the man was gone.
Fundy leaned against the car anxiously waiting for his date. He checked the time for the sixth time in the last three minutes and sighed. Dream walked up to the parking lot and waved to the fox boy. Fundy led him into the dining area and started asking about Dream. They shared a nice conversation about MCC and he called for music.
The man sat in the back, unnoticed, and watched one of the workers about to press play on something. He drew a crossbow out and aimed it at the jukebox. He shook his head and made them go back into the kitchen.
Fundy looked over and saw a broken jukebox. He sighed and turned back to Dream and apologized. They continued their date until Fundy got up to get their food.

The man stiffened a little when he passed him but relaxed when he went straight to the kitchen. He stood up and made himself look presentable before walking to the table.
"Hello, I'll be your waiter for tonight, what would you like to eat?" Dream looked at him suspiciously while the man nervously smiled back at him.
"Little late, Fundy went to get the food."
"Oh. So sorry. I'll just-"
"Wait. You look familiar almost like..."
"I'm back! Oh hello, you must be a worker I hired." Fundy interrupted Dream's train of thought. The man nodded and left the two alone. Dream explained the odd situation to Fundy, leaving out being suspicious of the "waiter". However, even Fundy had his suspicions about the stranger. He didn't hire that many workers and he was sure none of the workers he did hire didn't wear big brown trenchcoats and old red sneakers.
The man continued to observe the two as they finished eating and went to the theater. He stayed in the kitchen already knowing he didn't want to see them make out for half the movie. He heard them walking out and thanked the cook for the snack while walking out and following them to the parking lot.
Fundy led Dream to the car and took the ring out. He kneeled down and proposed, Dream, of course, said yes. But they both noticed something while Fundy was putting the ring on his finger. They saw the man from earlier watching them while standing near the door. Fundy slowly backed them away while Dream checked to see if he had any weapons in his inventory. Dream stepped in front of his date and pulled out a netherite sword
"Come out here! We know you're there!"
The man cursed himself for not hiding better and walked forward with his hands up.
"Who are you!" Fundy shouted. He didn't say anything in hopes of not messing up whatever that time thing was. Fundy shouted the same question again. 'This is really irritating.'
"Answer us!" Dream walked forward enough to threaten the man with his sword. Instead, he started laughing.
"You think that's gonna scare me? If I remember right, I'm the only person that will stand up to you and you're afraid of that. Now I'm going to do something, and while I do it, you're going to listen." Dream was slightly taken back by the man not cowering under the sword and chance of death. He started typing something into the chat and stopped. "If you even think about cheating on Fundy and fucking that colorblind dickhead I'm going to take a cannon death from you. Not because I care about that fox fuckhead, because I care about the little man. You'll know who I am in about ten years. And Fundy, Wilbur is fucking trying. Even after death. So don't take anything he does for granted."
"Wha-"
"Bye." He pressed enter and disappeared in static. The couple was taken back by what just happened and looked at each other. They left the parking lot and talked about what the stranger meant. He still seemed way to familiar.
"I'm the only one that stands up to you." Dream went silent. Where had he heard that before? Tommy continued his little speech and Dream pushed the thought aside until later.
He looked around. He was back in his own room. He walked downstairs to the guestroom and saw his nephew sleeping. He groaned and called Fundy.
"Hello?"
"How are you?"
"You okay Tommy? You never check on me?"
"Just answer the question furry. How are you? How's Dream?"
"We're fine. We're watching a movie. Hey Tommy, I realized something."
"What?"
"That was you ten years ago, right? Why were you there? Was something wrong?"
"Everything's fine. Just wanted to check in. Wilbur would be proud y'know, you're a better father than he ever was."
"I wouldn't say that. He was a bad guy but not that bad of a father in the end."
"Mhmm, bye Fundy."
Tommy put down the phone and smiled. He fucking did it. Fuck! He didn't tell younger him to save Tubbo.

“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment.
