《Broken (Jughead x reader)》Part 18

I was even more terrified for Archie now that his secret was out. I had fucking told him to be careful and now he was in trouble. I mean, Betty loved him and would never do anything to hurt him, but it only takes one person for the news to spread, even if it is on accident. It was barely a week later that my dad told me that we were going to go see Ms. Grundy in concert. I think she won an award or something but I honestly don't remember what he told me because I was so focused on the fact that I was going to have to go to a concert where my brother had to pretend he wasn't screwing one of the musicians while my dad watched her play. So basicly, he was fucked.
Betty came over that day and made sure I didn't just put on sweatpants. This was sort of her job and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if my dad paid her every once in awhile for helping out with me so much. She talked to me and brushed my hair and although I wouldn't let her put it up, I had to admit it looked much better. She seemed worried the entire time and I knew it was because she was thinking about Grundy, but she didn't say anything.
An hour later, I was sitting in silence, looking at a very uncomfortable Archie watch Ms. Grundy play on an outdoor stage. It was probably a beautiful day, but the atmosphere around Archie was so tense, it was hard for me to notice. It got worse when dad dragged us up to congratulate her. I stared at the ground and could practically feel the panic radiating off of Archie when dad asked to take Ms. Grundy to Pop's for dinner. I was nervous as well, but it was normal if I didn't talk or listen to anyone, so it was almost comical watching Archie crumble.

As we walked into Pop's, we watched a scene between Hermione Lodge and Cheryl Blossom. Veronica was standing by as if she had been about to tell Cheryl off herself and when I looked in her direction, I saw Jughead, Betty and Kevin sitting in a booth. I tugged on my dad's sleeve.
"Can I go sit with Betty?" I asked.
"Yeah, sure, we'll come get you later." He said, knowing how uncomfortable I was in this odd group.
I got up and actually ended up passing Betty on the way over to her table. I kept going and sat down next to Jughead, cuddling into his side, probably too much for his liking especially when Kevin stared at us with a very confused took for a solid 30, uncomfortable seconds. Even if Jug was uncomfortable, he knew I wasn't feeling the absolute greatest considering who I'd just left to come over here, so he let me do what I want and grabbed my hand under the table. Veronica got up after we saw Archie and Betty leave the diner, that's when Kevin spoke up.
"So what's this?" He smiled, taking a sip of his milkshake and leaning back in the booth. Jughead rolled his eyes at Kevin's need to know the latest gossip. This wasn't gossip though, this was something that about three people were aware of.
"Come on, are you not gonna tell me?"
"It's none of your business, that's what it is Kevin." Jughead said. Kevin just looked over at me and gave me a look that made me question why I was friends with this idiot. I mouthed "later" and he winked at me. Veronica came back without Betty and Archie went to the other side of the dinner to sit in the booth of awkwardness.

Later that night, lying in bed, Kevin texted me. Of course.

Me: Definitely not

Kevin 😛😀: Is he there rn?
Me: No
Me: Scratch that, he just climbed in through the window
Kevin 😛😀: I leave you 2 to it then 😏😉
Me: Why does every convo u ever have turn into innuendos and gossip??
Kevin 😛😀: Stop txting and go get some
Me: Fuck off
"Who are you texting?" Jughead asked as he got under my blanket with me.
"Kevin."
"Oh. Is he asking about us?"
"Yep."
"What did you tell him?"
"I told him a simple version of what happened this summer and then he started making suggestive comments when I told him you were here and I told him to fuck off."
"So I guess you're feeling a little better?" He laughed.
"Yeah, back to not taking shit from anybody if that's what you mean." I said, snuggling into his side.
"That's one of the things I love about you." He mumbled, sleepily. That made my heart flutter. No, he hadn't said that he loved me, but I'd say that was pretty damn close, so I snuggled further into him and breathed in his scent, content with another perfect private moment.

Stranger than Fiction (Draft Edition)
Rewrite -> https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/55140/stranger-than-fiction 150k words of rewritten and new content, updating 3 times a day. Faith is like ice-cream. It comes in all flavors. Greek, Norse, Sumerian, Christian— just name it and it's there. Adventures, on the other hand, are like credit cards. The first taste is free, but the price only goes up from there. Family heirlooms, now those are true evil. You get burdened with them for sentimental reasons even if they’re icky. For Lukas Aguilar, it was a pendant. A small, weird metal nib with absolutely no vampiric tendencies. All he wanted was to finish the job at hand, and get on that book he had been postponing for a while now. Instead he got served with an apocalypse for breakfast, a cave full of eldritch monsters for the company and the whims of a ruined goddess for his To-Do list. Really, a simple NO from the universe would have sufficed. Acknowledgments Editor-in-Chief: Solo Starfish Artwork: Exodus

Ira’s Faithful
[On Hiatus due to health reasons] Synopsis: Fate has plans for everyone. There are many paths one can walk and many nodes one can unlock. Yet all mortal souls only start with one node. This has been the case for many years and while there are some records of people with more than one first node, these are as rare as wings on snails, roses made of air, or ropes made of dragon-hair. Elise Anker has two first nodes. She doesn't know why and the only one that could answer is an angry voice in her head. She hears it rarely and the voice is as helpful as a sword is effective against a Leviathan. She strives to become a mage, a knight or maybe something else entirely. The future is uncertain and unless she finds out what her nodes mean, she will never know what she wants to become. But her nodes won't unlock and the angry voice tells her that she needs to find a worthy foe to kill. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, and incidents are either the products of the author’s imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. I am also not a professional author. This is simply a rough draft and therefore subject to change. Furthermore, this fiction is rather slow-paced for a rather long time. But compare it to a bundle of dynamite, you wouldn't want that to explode right in someone's face, would you? Philosophers corner
I won’t say this is a fiction, In fact it’s just things I suppose I need to put out there! Some things might be synonymous to a story, mainly my story. Interesting tidbits I’ve wrote down while high, sad or otherwise distracted in life. Hopefully it’s received well! This is for those who believe they are alone, you aren’t.
