Edmund's P.O.V.
I was already asleep when the room temperature had dropped dramatically. I could hear whispers. That woke me up.
I turned around and saw green mist. There were images circling Oliver and chanting words that I couldn't understand.
When I looked at Oliver, he just stared into the images as his eyes got bigger and bigger, his eye color had turned bright green. Was he being hypnotized or something?
I quietly took my sword and slashed the mist in half. Once it retreated back into the bottle, Oliver exhaled. His eyes had turned into his normal color.
"What was that?" I asked him angrily.
"I-" he stuttered. "It was-".
I pointed the sword at the side of his throat. "What are you planning, Oliver?".
After what I had just witnessed, it became harder for me to trust him. He might've been planning something that would put the safety of my family and
Y/N at stake. I couldn't take any chances.
"I-I found it!" he exclaimed. "Pug... dropped it.".
"H-He dropped it?" I asked in disbelief. "He dropped it and you just- took it?". Was he a thief too?
I lowered my sword and reached out my hand for the bottle.
He handed the bottle to me.
Once the bottle was in my hand, I investigated it.
An image of the White Witch formed in the mist, inside the bottle. My eyes widened in fright. I had already dealt with her as a kid. That alone practically traumatized me. I wasn't planning on dealing with her again.
I glared at him. "What were you planning on doing with this bottle?" I asked angrily.
"I d- I don- I-"
"Answer me!" I shouted. He was beating around the bush and I didn't have time for that.
"The White Witch said that she could bring my family back, okay!?" he answered.
When I met him, I thought he wasn't to be trusted, but this time, I he wasn't to be trusted.
He was planning on selling us out for a deal with the White Witch.
"I knew it. Traitor!" I shouted.
"What else was I supposed to do?! I was alone in this world! What other purpose do I have?! What other choice?!" he shouted. "I'm sorry.".
"Sorry isn't going to take back what you did, or what you were about to do.". I said.
I stormed out of the room with the bottle in my hand. I needed to get rid of it. Somewhere no one could find it. It was an easy decision. We were in the middle of the sea after all.

I got ready to throw the bottle far away, when Oliver jumped on me.
The bottle broke as soon as it touched the ground.
I looked at Oliver. "What did you do?" I asked him angrily. Asking that question took so much strength. I was... falling... asleep.
My eyelids shut and all I heard were faint sounds of footsteps before I fell asleep.
I woke up early in the morning. The sun didn't even rise yet. I stretched. I usually never wake up this early, but I thought maybe today should be different.
Sleep felt unusually horrible. I had frightening nightmares that felt like forever. It seemed as through I was asleep for more than one night. I shrugged it off. I didn't want to stay in bed any longer.
I felt energized and ready for the day.
I got ready and went outside. Once I was, I saw everyone on the ship. I thought I was the only one awake?
They weren't energized unlike I was, but visibly confused. They were all looking at something, probably where we were. I turned around and saw... The Mainland?!
We had just travelled half the sea only to find out we would be in the Mainland? The one place where we didn't plan on going back to.
I heard grunts from the left side of the ship. It was Edmund. He was on the floor and was trying to get up.
I quickly walked to him to help him get up.
"I've got a pounding headache." he groaned as I tried to lift him up.
"What happened to you? Why are you on the floor?" I asked, putting his arm around my shoulder for support. His body temperature was boiling. I needed to get help.
"I... I don't remember." he said. "The last thing I remember was...".
I stayed quiet, waiting for a response.
"L-leaving your room." he said, massaging his temples. "I don't remember anything else.".
"Okay well let's bring you to Professor Cornelius.". I told him as we walked to his direction. "You're burning hot.".
"I... I already know that I'm... hot..." he whispered and gave me a slight chuckle.
I rolled my eyes and smiled. Even in his state, he still managed to make me smile.
Professor Cornelius was sitting on the stairs. He looked like he was trying to figure out what happened.
"Profe-"
"What time is it?" he asked.
"Pardon? Professor we really need-"
He suddenly stood up and took a good look at the sun. He put his hands up and started measuring it's position in the sky.
"It isn't morning..." he said.

"What? What do you mean? Of course it is, it's just that the sun hasn't risen yet." I explained.
"Of course the sun has already risen." he said as he turned to us. "The sun is setting.".
At this point, everyone was already gathered around us to get answers from the professor. When they heard his answer, they gasped.
"S-setting?" asked Susan. "So you're saying we've been asleep for a day?"
"More than." answered the Professor.
"We need to find out how we arrived here. We've wasted so much time." announced Peter.
I felt Edmund become heavier, most of his weight has been put on me. His temperature was higher that it was before. He groaned as he used me for support. I knew it was something he wouldn't do if he didn't need it.
Lucy saw this. "Edmund!". Her call attracted everyone's attention. Peter and Caspian came to his aid and took over for me. At first touch they were shocked by his body temperature, but they got used to it. He was being supported by Peter and Caspian now.
The professor looked at Edmund. He felt his forehead. Cornelius' arm jerked back as soon as his hand got in contact with his skin. "He has an extremely high fever.".
No kidding.
Blood then started dripping from Edmund's nose. Little by little, more blood started to drip faster than the last drop. I was getting extremely worried.
"W-what's going on?" I asked worriedly.
"Edmund!" Lucy called.
"Lucy, get your bottle." ordered Peter.
Lucy ran back in the room and brought her bottle back as fast as she was when she left.
She poured a drop in his mouth.
Nothing happened.
Lucy poured another.
Still, nothing happened.
"Why isn't it working?!" I asked. "Pour some more, Lucy." I told her.
Lucy poured five more drops in his mouth, but the liquid just spilled out. He wasn't taking it.
Edmund started to breathe in an inhumane speed. His chest rapidly rose up and down as he tried to breathe.
"Ed?" Peter called out as he shook him. "Edmund?!", shaking him even more violently.
Lucy smelled the liquid in her bottle. When she was done, a disgusted look formed in her face. "That isn't my bottle. It's something else." she said.
"W-well then what did you give him?!" asked Susan?
"I don't know!" Lucy answered.
"Enough." said the Professor. "We cannot rely on the contents of that bottle any longer.".
"What do you suggest we do?" asked Caspian.
"Herbs. We need a natural remedy for this." he explained.
I looked at Edmund, he was shaking like he was freezing, but he was sweating at the same time.
"Well could we please hurry up?!" I exclaimed.
"Bring him to land." ordered the Professor. "We need to search for a herb called Glacies avarie Cannabis. It's the only thing that will help him now. We need to move fast, he only has an hour before...."
"Be-before?" I asked.
The professor cleared his throat and looked down. We already knew what he meant by that
The thought of living my life without him was enough to make me sob.
The crew quickly but carefully brought him on land and let him rest in a grassier area so he would be closer to us when we find the herbs.
Lucy stayed in the ship to look for her bottle.
When they let him rest, they all left to look for the herb.
I stayed beside him a bit longer.
I then saw Oliver come down from the ship, but he didn't go to our direction. when he saw me, I turned my head. I didn't want him to know I was watching
He snuck behind the ship. He was out of my sight.
I was about to follow Oliver to see what he was up to, when a cold hand touched mine.
"P-p-please... s-s-st-stay..." Edmund said as he shivered.
"Ed?" I asked.
"H-h-hey..." he said as he gave me a quivering smile.
"Ed j-just hang in there okay?" I told him, on the verge of tearing up. His physical state was absolutely heartbreaking.
He held my hand tighter. "I-i-if... If I d-d-dont c-co-come back a-alive..."
"Shhhh" I said as I put my finger in over his mouth. "Tell me when you're better, okay?".
I removed my hand and held his hand with two of mine. "I love you..."
Peter walked to our direction. He saw my hand holding Edmund's but I didn't care. I don't care if they dont approve of us. Edmund needed me and that's what's important.
Peter cleared his throat so we would notice his presence. I looked at him and my eyes filled with hope.
"D-did you get it?!" I asked excitedly.
He looked like he was about to tear up as well. "I'm sorry...".
I burst out into tears.
I looked at Edmund, we was falling asleep.
Soon the rest of the crew were visible and we're right in front of us. They didn't find any either.
We all watched as his eyes slowly closed
Oh Ed... please don't leave.
Keep fighting Edmund. Please...
