《The Night Shift (Mike Schmidt x Reader)》16. Mine

I lunged at Mike. We ended up crashing on the couch together. Mike let out a high pitched squeal, which only made me laugh harder.
"(Y/N)!" Mike shouted. I had already snatched the Cheetos back and was casually eating them, back on my bed. Mike jumped at me and wrapped me in one of his bear hugs. I let a squeak just as high as Mike had earlier. I just stayed there, and he kept his arms around me. The silence got increasingly heavy as we laid there, entertwined together. I ended up throwing the Cheetos across the room in hopes that Mike might get off of me, but he only held me tighter.
My face was getting increasingly warm as I tried to wriggle away, but Mike had a very strong hold on my midsection. I turned to face him, and he loosened his iron grip just enough that I could twist towards him. His face was completely blank. Mike had fallen asleep! I guess I was stuck here until he woke up. I decided against waking him up. After all, he'd taken care of me after I'd fallen asleep in the pizzeria. I allowed myself to doze off in his arms.
When we woke up, it was time for work. Mike looked over at me, lying in his arms, and was so surprised that he accidentally carried both of us off the bed. We stood up, both of us blushing a little. Mike muttered a soft "I'm sorry," and we walked out of my apartment. We just walked to work together, not bothering to change out of our clothes from yesterday. It's not like Mike had anything to change into, though. That, and I finally remembered to bring a chair. Finally, we could both be the lazy people we were. Whoever was in charge of the doors would take the swivel; camera would take the simple plastic dining chair we carried over.

After the shift, I sighed and slid down in the (f/c) chair. I was so happy when I got it from that one garage sale; it would fit in perfectly with Dil's assortment of seating. I'm such Phan trash. Mike waved and briskly walked out of the office. "That was unlike him," I muttered as I wandered out of the pizzeria. "he usually escorts me out. Can't say I blame him though, tonight was rough." Mike had neglected to keep an eye on the right door, and he had accidentally left it closed. Freddy was only a hair from stuffing us; he played his song for longer than usual. Then again, I wouldn't want to get between me and Mike at that moment either. We were, I admit, pressed pretty close together. I began the walk home.
As I walked past the small arts and crafts store on the way, I noticed a familiar face in the window. Vincent grinned and waved at the mirrored surface, looking me in the eye. I turned around, my heart beating a mile a minute. "Hello, (Y/N)," Vincent greeted.
"Stop fucking following me everywhere!" I yelled. Vincent held up his hands in defense. "Hey, all I want to do is talk," he replied. "Well, I don't want to hear it, asshat!"
I turned to walk away, but Vincent grabbed me by my hood. Next thing I knew, he was kissing me. He held me firmly enough that it didn't hurt, but I couldn't get away if I tried. I didn't, though; I stood there in shock. Vincent continued to kiss me, but I was frozen in place. "Not into it, hmm?" he murmured into my lips. "We're going to have to fix that."
He pushed me down on the sidewalk and began kissing me with more passion. "You're all mine," Vincent mumbled. There was no escape. I hate to admit it, but he was a damn good kisser. "I'm not going to let you go until you kiss me back." he demanded. I was about to give in when Mike appeared.
"Get off of her, you purple son of a bitch."

8 155The Ginsu Mage
Currently in queue: Episode 13 in progress. Set in the Aurora: Apocalypse universe.Updated every Friday. If it's not updating, I'm working on my other fictions. If nothing's updating, I ran out of whiskey. Be patient. The Gunsu Mage is a hot mess of garbage that should not be taken seriously by anyone. It’s a vaguely-GameLit spoof of Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomoni (In Another World With My Smartphone) where the MC ends up in another world and fused with his kitchen applicances, mashed up with fantasy western elements. Dungeons & Dragons meets the Wild West in an alternate high-fantasy timeline. Guns & Goblins. Cowboys & Wizards. Locomotives & Dwarves. Don’t expect great writing, accurate numbers, or common sense. Hell, don’t expect anything — just relax and let it happen.
