《Her story (Britain x France)》Chapter 6

Had it been days? Maybe weeks now? Britain didn't know
He remained in his room with the lights out, his children tried to care for him but couldn't do anything to lift his mood after the phone call about Frances condition staying the same, tho now her hair has fallen out, countries don't get illness like humans do so they can't technically label what's wrong with France like you could a human. Yet nobody thinks she'll survive the next few months at this state
The four brothers among hearing this from Australia haven't taken it to well either, their scared like small children and all they want is for their mother to kiss them goodnight again. They want her to embarrass them and for her to accidentally burn dinner again. Canada would give anything for her to sing him to sleep one last time, New Zealand wanted nothing more then for her to walk through that door and say it was all an evil prank
America has been distant from the family, choosing to ignore his pain and socialise with his friends
Australia has completely torn apart his room, his anger and greif taking over after he had to tell his brothers the bad news.
Their mother may never come home.
Days after the call was made and the news was shared Britain was lying in his room
On the floor like a dead man with 6 bottles of wine scattered around him. He didn't want to think, he didn't want to feel, he didn't want to even be existing, he just wanted to be nothing.
Australia knocked on his door, hoping to hear his fathers voice for the first time in almost 2 weeks, he hoped Britain was eating the food they would give him, he hoped he drank the water they provided "dad?" He said, his own voice raspy from the night terrors.

No answer
Not even a sound
"Dad?" He spoke up, thinking he was just sleeping
Still nothing
"DAD you ok!" He yelled a bit louder, newzealand came out to inspect what was happening, he saw his brother looking worried as he called to his father, "dads not responding!" Aussie quickly said once noticing his shorter twin
"He would just be sleeping dude, he's always sleeping now"
"No zea somethings wrong, the door is locked and I can't even hear shuffling"
Zea grunted and walked over to the door, knocking on it "dad you alive in there?"
No response, he took a big breath out of frustration and stopped.
He sniffed again. "I smell alcohol" New Zealand said now sharing his brothers concern
"Dad! Answer us!" Australia yelled angrily
Nothing
"Dad!" New Zealand shouted
Nothing
"I'm kicking the door down-"
"Wait what" New Zealand didn't even have time to react and his stronger brother kicked the door. The door flung open and banged against the wall.
Lying on the floor was a pale Britan, bottles around him and his chest barely rising and falling
"DAD!" The two yelled in unison running to their father. Canada looking into the room having been woken due to all the commotion and yelling. His eyes widened when he saw his brothers desperately trying to wake up their father
"Dad?" He muttered
Australia turned to Canada and yelled for him to call someone, Canada nodded and ran down the hall
New Zealand had gotten up and grabbed a vas of flowers, he took the flowers out and poured the water onto Britain's face as Australia shook him
"W-what" a weak British voice questioned, he looked around the room to see two faces, New Zealand had worried, sad but also very relieved

Australia was pissed but also glad Britain had woken up
"Why are you two here" he muttered, sitting up and putting a hand on his head
"We tried calling you but you wouldn't answer, oh shit I better let Canada know your ok" New Zealand said as he quickly hugged his father and left the room.
Australia stood up and over his father, he was clearly not happy
"Son are you ok?"
"NO IM NOT FUCKING OK" he hissed making Britain flinch slightly
"Mums going through shit and here you are almost killing yourselves drinking senseless!"
"Australia thats Not what's happening" Britain said standing up
"I just needed an escape, surely you can understand that"
Australia didn't say anything, he wanted to yell and scream at him but chose not to, it wouldn't help anyway, Australia saw the note book on the counter next to him, he grabbed it and shoved it into his father
"If you need a distraction write instead of drink"
And with that Australia left
Britain stood there silently, looking down at the book in his hands, his eyes getting watery but he tried his best not to cry as he stared down at the page he tried to start writing, the page itself smudged up and shapely written due to his crying
He looked back up at the total of the page
"Our wedding day"
((I'm trying to get demotivated to continue this book seeing as a lot of people like it :) ))

This won't be something short, as I have the very long term in mind, but I'm a total noob to writing, so I most likely won't release chapters very often, at least until I really get the hang of it. But, the chapters will always be several thousand words long. At the minimum 2k, maximum like 6k... Pretty big variations, sorry. If you like it, great. If you don't, that's understandable. Regardless, if you have a read, I'd appreciate feedback for areas you think I should improve on, whether it's the use of some words or how I should write something or WHATEVER. I'm open to anything, good or bad, because with your help, it'll help make this story better. **DISCLAIMER** So you don't waste your time, I want to let you know what you're getting into, because I like knowing ahead of time before I read something. This might appear like a Xianxia novel, but it's not. It only starts that way. This is a western fantasy world and setting that many of you are familiar with. The beginning chapters might be a bit of an info dump. Some of it might seems superfluous, but a lot of information is relevant to the story. The first few chapters might also seem rushed, but I'll try to keep it exclusive to those. This is a cliche, OP MC story with the typical harem, but other than the quick start, everything else will be gradual. There will be romance, and probably many moments at that, but don't expect anything TOO detailed. If you want something really steamy, look elsewhere. References and throwbacks to stuff most likely. The setting won't be really dark or really light. Middleground, I guess. The MC is far from a young kid, but he won't totally reflect his age. I don't plan on discarding info, abilities or characters that you KNOW should come back and be around. I see it a lot and it sort of bugs me haha... but I could have oversights, I dunno. As I said, I'm a noob. That's it, really. If you're interested, welcome to my world!
8 119tales from the multiverse
stay stories that are from the multiverse of my mind...they are good, but I can't really make whole books out of them, maybe I will continue them at later parts, but this is just short peeks into various stories.
8 201No Gods! Some masters?
Kolost was once a man damned to a life in servitude, slaving away in the mines to work himself into and early grave. Then a miracle from the gods order him to serve a prophet on her journey to codify all the medical texts in the known world. To create a library never seen before and help ease human suffering. In return he will become a free man once again. So he did. Then on the eve of their success he was betrayed and cast into hell. Not even having the choice of returning to servitude he was locked up and the keys thrown away. This is where we meet our hero, at his lowest point. He dreams of revenge against the gods but killing a god is a mighty undertaking. Will he succeed in his quest? Maybe.
8 148Covenant Sinners: The Origin of a Demon Queen
Demon-slayer knight Hector Aeronwen became an enemy of all humankind after saving a dying half-demon girl out of pity. Little did he know, his impulsive action had forever changed the course of the world and the fates of many. This is the story about Hector's desperate quest and the beginning of the demoness whose destiny is to shake the world to its very foundation. Author's note: At the risk of spoiling too much of this story, I want to reveal a bit about the core idea behind this work of fiction. I set out with the idea to write a story in the perspective of the second in command of a demon lord, which then would be followed up with large scale kingdom buildings and warring states. But then I asked myself: what past do they have between them for the Demon Lord to have so much faith in her second in command, and for him to be so loyal to such a horrible being? So this is my attempt at writing the origin of those two, who, while hated by all races in the world, still have each other as the only confidant to entrust their life to. If you are like me and want to see where this premise, with a vague destination in mind, will lead to, please have a read and give me your valued feedback!
