《Alpha's Little Luna》Chapter 74

Taking a step forward, I feel my lungs compressing with panic and fear until my legs move out of instinct. I hear my name vaguely being yelled behind me, but my heart beat thundering in my ears causes them to be muffled.
"G-Greyson," I link in panic while pushing my legs to run to the facility. Did he leave as soon as I did?
I flinch when the heat from the flames are still apparent on my skin even from this far away, while I wait for a reply.
"I'm fine, I was still at the house when it happened. I'm almost there now," I sigh with momentary relief but it doesn't last long knowing Seb is there right now.
"Me too," I reply continuing to run.
"No, no Willa. Go back, If this is what I think it is you need to be hidden," his voices comes out stern. My eyes drawing to trees that are set ablaze as well.
I shake my head continuing my steps. "If people are hurt I cant just stand around and do nothing when I know that I can do something. I'll watch my back, just hurry and get here."
I slow my steps once I step up to the clearing of the building. The orange hue of the flames igniting my eyes as they frantically dance around. My body frozen at the site.
The smoke is so thick in the air I can't make out any scents.
Though when I see someone leaning against a near by tree coughing from the smoke, my once frozen state clears.
Stepping closer I see it's Silas. Hurriedly I go to him, catching his body as he starts to collapse from exhaustion. His face covered in soot, his arms scattered with burns.
He looks up to me once he feels his body being caught. "Silas?" I gasp taking up his appearance.
"I don't know what happened," he breathes looking up. "We could smell the chemicals, and we covered just in time before the explosion. I made it out, but there's still more inside."
"Are you okay?" I ask clarifying as I sit him down on the ground, the tree behind him propping him up.
He nods his head, looking down to his arms that are already starting to heal. "I don't know where Koda is."
I nod wiping his white hair from his forehead to help his rising panic. I try not to show my worry with hearing how fast his heart is beating. So I smile softly rubbing his cheek with my thumb, "I'll find him."

He nods as I stand, turning back around to the flames before taking a deep breath to run to the door.
I cant think of all the negative outcomes from this. I cant think about people that I love that are still stuck inside. I cant think about if they're still breathing or not.
Now I just need to act.
Though as I'm about to run in blindly, I see a figure starting to emerge from around the flames.
Perking up, I try to make out who it is around the dark clouds.
Though when I see one person carrying what it seems to be many, I run.
Instantly my lungs start to burn as I step in the heat of the fire, igniting my skin and slowly burning the surface.
I dance around trying to find the best outlet looking to the person ahead. Then, for a split second I recognize the face. "Sebastian!" I yell, which catches his attention.
He coughs as he hauls people out. Two positioned on his back, another being dragged by the arm. "Willa, you-" he coughs holding his shirt over his mouth to help filter the air.
"I know I shouldn't be here," I complete before taking a person from his back. He looks to me, before looking down to the person he's dragging. I follow his eyes, feeling them widen once I see Koda completely unconscious.
"He barely has a pulse. We need to go," he wheezes. I nod taking the same way that I came in, making sure Seb is following right behind me.
My eyes water and burn to the smoke. I blink it back trying to make out the path through my blurred vision. I grimace to burning residing in my lungs and on my skin.
But before too long the exit comes back into view making me smile a small smile.
I cough out a breath as I fall through the door, fresh air slowly filling my fragile lungs.
Softly I put the girl that I was carrying on the ground. Her pulse strong, and burns minimal. The smoke must've just got the best of her.
Looking back Seb does the same setting the guy he was carrying down before inspecting Koda.
Looking over I see Greyson rise from being crouched next to Silas. His eyes wide as he runs up to us.
"That's-" Seb wheezes closing his eyes. "That's everyone. It was early enough that there was only a small group."
Grey comes up to me grabbing my arms, looking at the blisters that are forming. "I'm fine, I need to look at Koda."

I look to him, to which he just nods. I see how tense he is, how he's shaking from the tightness in his muscles. His body is so stimulated in fear, and anger that it's hard to really get anything out.
His instincts must be screaming at him to do a million things at once.
Crawling over to Sebastian and Koda, I look at the situation trying to analyze.
Seb breathes hard as his eyes look wide to Koda. He hovers his hands above him not sure what to do entirely. "He protected Silas which made him receive majority of the blow. I barely hear his heart beat, Willa."
"He still has one, okay Seb?" I try to sooth his panic. "He's still alive."
He nods backing away, rubbing a hand over his mouth before he continues to cough.
My eyebrows scrunch together as I place a hand over his chest, believing the best place to heal right now is his lungs. If they're strong and functioning then his body can heal the rest.
My hand grows warm as I focus my energy onto him, I shake my head closing my eyes. Just don't give all your energy, save some of it. Don't pass out.
There's still more people to be saved.
Coughing slightly, I grimace as i restrain myself from giving everything in me.
Though it stops suddenly making me look down when I feel like I've done just enough.
I sit, waiting for his heart rate to start rising in tempo.
It takes a second, but I watch him start to take deep breaths making his heart raise.
His eyes shooting open quickly after sitting up which makes me smile slightly. He's okay, everyone's okay.
I blink heavily, pressing a hand to my forehead once I feel my surrounds spin. The loss of energy starting to finally get to me.
Being weak from the fire isn't helping, but I'm still conscious. I did it.
"Hey, you okay?" Grey crouches behind me supporting my body just in case it decides to black out.
I nod, "Just lightheaded. But I'm okay."
Peeking through my eyes I see Seb and Koda hugging tightly before Silas slowly walks over and they separate.
Seb watches as Silas collapses kissing Koda before hugging him.
Seb then looks away to the grass in front of him, his eyes slightly widened.
I make a move to go over there, but my body suddenly recoils as another explosion booms in the distance.
On reflex a hand covers my mouth as i watch the smoke plume swirl into the sky. "Holy fuck," Seb breathes as we all stare at it. It looks like it's the opposite side of us just on the territory line.
But then right after and before any of us can recover, another one sounds to our left. This one located yet again on the line of the territory.
These explosions a significantly smaller in size than what happened here, but still big enough to grab your attention.
Grey reaches under my arms before standing me up. His touch forceful and panicked but still careful of the injuries I got from the fire.
Looking to him wide eyed his mouth is set in a straight line as he looks to the newly formed plums. "We need to go, now."
"Sebastian, come on," Koda says hurriedly offering a hand to him. My eyes lingering on them as Seb struggles to stand, but with support from both Koda and Silas is back on his feet.
The others newly awoken as well follow our lead.
Grey supports my back as my head is still recovering from the heal. Though before we can do much, yet another explosion sounds just to the right of us, probably twenty feet away. All of our heads snap to it in terror.
But that's not even the worse part.
From the explosion, emerging from the smoke are people and wolves alike.
All in a frenzied state, they look around the territory in front of them. Some of them even frothing at the mouth in pure and utter excitement for destruction and war.
"There's multiple breaches at the boarder. Everyone prepare, and get the ones who can't fight hidden and in a safe place. But if you can fight, do your best and don't let them over power you."
Looking up after hearing Greyson's announcement in my head, I see his eyes set down threatening and completely filled with wrath.
His arm tightens around me when I look around seeing everyone mimic him. Their stances strong, their faces willed with anger.
I nod slightly before following their lead, casting my head down. Before long my eyebrows grow together as I feel myself being taken over in fury.
The day we all dreaded, was upon us.
