Group A - Alcina, Heisenberg, Donna, Umber Eyes, and Lobo.
Group B - (Y/N), Moreau, Chris, Canine, Night Howl, and Tundra.
(Just so It doesn't get confusing.)
"Follow me, and don't forget whose incharge." Chris spoke dropping down into the cavern.
A supply cache sat precariously on the ledge, a few of the men stopped to refile their pockets.
"Careful on the way down." Chris paused to help me down, but I didn't take his hand. Instead dropping down and carrying on, now in the front of the group.
I dropped down from another ledge into a widened room, the others following behind me.
The room began to shake before everyone got down. A large figure emerged from the wall. Dust clouding around it as roots tore from the earth.
"Lobo we got a large mutated bioweapon down here." Chris spoke into his earpiece.
Slowly I walked up, the monster staring down at me.
"Let us through." I lifted my hand, almost to its face. The creatures eyes were covered by a metal wolf mask.
A loud growl escaped the monster lips sending a shiver down my spine. This wasn't a normal lycan.
"KID!" Chris yelled from behind me.
I looked away for a second, which was too long. The creature swung its mace, just barely missing me.
"What the hell are you doing, kid?! Back up! Let us handle this, before you get yourself killed."
He shouted some orders and his men advanced, guns at the ready.
"Lobo you ready?" A small voice came from his earpiece and he brought out what looked like a small remote.
He aimed at the beast as his men provided cover fire, keeping the creature distracted.
Moreau rushed over to me, pulling me out of the way.
"Oh no... are you hurt? Sit here, they'll take care of it." I shook him off me as I tried to get up. "Stop, don't go!"
He tried to grab my hand but I ran past him.
Gunshots echoed in the cavern, barely doing anything against the monsters metal plates.
Than the room shook again as, what looked like a missile hit the creature.
It fell, leaving its back exposed.
The men shot almost instantly into the exposed flesh on its back. With a howl the creature stood back up, blood dripping from the bullet holes in its back.
I ran forward before being stopped by Chris.
"Kid, I don't know what you're trying to do, but you are out of your depth. Let my men handle this."
A voice spoke from his earpiece and he aimed his remote again.
"Alright, Lobo, marking the target again."
I watched helplessly as another shot came from the hole in the roof. The creature toppled again and the men adjusted their aim to the soft spot on its back.
The monster's cry filled the cavern as it crumpled to dust. It's bloody mace laying cold on the ground.

"Hostile eliminated. Let's move." He gestured to a now open hole in the wall and his men followed.
I knelt down infront of the large mace. A small knot formed in my throat. I wasn't sure why.
I pulled the weapon off the ground and attached in on my back. It was too heavy for my to use, but I felt like I needed to take it.
"Come on we don't have any time to waste." Chris looked at the mace on my back, a confused look on his face, but didn't say anything. After an awkward silence he pulled me down the dark corridor.
We rounded the corner and the dark tunnel brightend as we came into a large cavern.
"The megamycete..." Chris looked over at Moreau, a grimace plastered on his face. "Do you have the explosives?"
Moreau smiled as he pulled them seemingly out of nowhere.
"N2 explosives? Impressive."
Quickly he attached a knife to the bomb, and within a few seconds the combination was plunged into the pulsating mass of mold.
"Alright let's get out of here and blow this damn place!" One of the men spoke up.
"Not before we end Miranda. I'm not taking any more chances." Chris carefully stuck the detonator in his pocket and carried on, his gun at the ready. "Come on, we're going in..."
We plunged onward, up a set of ragged stone stairs. The mace swinging awkwardly on my back.
"Be ready for anything. I just got word that Miranda is at the ceremony sight. The other group has eyes on her, but that doesn't mean we're in the clear."
Chris pushed open the door at the end of the path. It's quaint picture was out of place with the chaos surrounding it.
"This must be Miranda's lab..." He carried on, gun on a swivel.
A shiver went down my spine as another memory surfaced.
Miranda standing over me, tools in hand. Warm liquid spilled down my stomach, before the echo of pain. My abdomen burned as the memory passed. I doubled over my breath hanging in my throat.
"Hey... hey!" Moreau shook my shoulders pulling me from my memory.
"I'm fine, I just got a bit... a bit winded." I gave him a half-hearted smile.
The men were walking around the lab, examining notes and pictures.
I walked past all of them, towards the back of the lab. A locked cage occupied the end of the room. The cage I had spent weeks of my life in.
I broke the lock off and opened the door, a lump in my throat.
This is where I was left alone...
My breath caught in my throat again as I stepped through the door. I don't know why I was in here again...
Before I had time to react a women hit me with a metal pipe.
I fell to the floor, my shoulder throbbing. The strap holding the mace on my back broke and the weapon clattered to the groud.

The women held her makeshift weapon over her head ready to swing, but Chris disarmed her.
"Show me your hands!"
I stood up quickly and grabbed the mace with my right arm. Them made my way out of the cell. The mace was already heavy, but carrying it with one arm was bad enough.
"Umber Eyes, this is Alpha. Where is Miranda right now?"
A small voice echoed from his earpiece and he slowly lowered his gun, a surprised look on his face.
"God damn it really is you... I'm glad you're safe, Mia."
"Wait Mia?" A women's voice spoke up.
Soon everyone had crowded around the cell door, except me. I backed up against the wall a tight feeling in my abdomen again.
"Alright, Enough! Give her some space. Umber Eyes, what's the situation up there."
He pushed through the crowd to the door, leaving Mia in the cell. "Come on, we move now. They need us up there."
"Wait! You can't leave me here..."
Chris turned back around to face the group. "You take Mia, get her safe." He pointed to the man in the middle, who's badge read Night Howl.
The man nodded and pulled Mia along. She tried to protest but her voice quieted as they left the room.
"The rest of you follow me. We stick to the plan." Chris' eyes held a dangerous spark in them, and I wasn't about to go against his orders anytime soon.
I filled the group back out the door we came from, casting one last glance to the lab. The ghost pain returning to my abdomen.
"Finally, you're back! Um... whatcha got there?" Heisenberg asked gesturing to the weapon slung over my shoulder.
I ignored him as my eyes caught sight of a yellow jacket.
"Ethan?"
He barely glanced at me, his hands rummaging mindless over a gun.
"Yeah he... he's been like that for a while. We told him the plan and to wait for you guys, but I don't know how he's alive..."
I shuffled forward, aware of everyone's eyes on me, and knelt down in front of him.
"Ethan, listen we... we're gonna get your daughter and you're gonna get outta here. I promise you... but we need you're help please."
For the first time he looked back at me. Dirt and blood covered his face, giving him a hard look, but his eyes... his eyes looked broken.
He looked down at the mace that was still in my hands. Slowly he stood and took it from my grasp. His body shaking with every movement, then turned around and walked off, the weapon dragging behind him.
I turned back to the group, not knowing if we should go after him or not.
Heisenberg spoke up, scanning the ruined road Ethan disappeared down. "He's been doing that for a while now... he keeps buying gear from the Duke, but I don't know how he carries all of those guns..."
I gasped when he mentioned the Duke and turned in the direction Ethan went.
"(Y/N) we should really be going... if Miranda starts her ceremony we might not be able to stop her." Alcina spoke, her voice sounding strained.
"I need to talk to the Duke... I can't explain but you need to go without me, I'll catch up."
Alcina started to protest but I started off down the path.
Black roots ensared houses and covered parts of the way but I eventually found the Duke's wagon.
Ethan stood infrot of the open door, gun in hand.
The large mace he took from me sat in the Duke's hands. Skulls and Crystals hung from behind him.
The Duke set the weapon behind him and handed Ethan a bag of Lei... which he promptly handed back in return for more ammunition.
"Oh... (Y/N). I thought you would be back. Care to stock up?"
"How'd you know... about Ethan?" I asked not caring for his wares.
"Ha! Even I can't quite answer that... premonition I suppose?"
I glanced over at Ethan who had sat on the cold ground, his hands pulling stuff from him pockets and rearranging them. It looked like he hand enough ammo to supply an army.
"Duke..." I pulled the small gold ring from my pocket and the necklace off my neck. My hands shook as I handed the jewelry over. "Take care off these please. I have... well we have things to do and I can't lose those."
He nodded slightly and pulled out a small envelope.
"I knew everyone in this village, and some beyond. You're parents were particularly fond of my little trinkets. When you stop Miranda, you may take this one... half off of course."
He tucked the envelope safely into the back of his ledger, the edge poking over the pages.
A small smile tugged at my face until a screech echoed from the ceremony sight.
"I'll back Duke, that's a promise. Come on Ethan."
"I sure hope you can keep that, young (Y/N), until then farewell."
Note from Author
My dudes, I am sorry for the delay. Most of this episode was already written, but then I got like halfway and couldn't think of how to transition it. But that'd done now and I can't wait to write the next few episodes! It might be a a couple weeks or a few days but I promise I'll work on it. Fight scenes aren't my Forte so hopefully the one coming up is good enough for you guys. Hope you liked this episode!

Earth Exodus
Elliot isn't the first one taken, he was the last, or one of them at least. Careless divines, gods, or higher powers had been snatching humans through numerous means over the years. Those that returned brought minor tokens of their previous power if anything at all. Over time unrestrained magic became commonplace on earth. Which must have brought attention to us. The earth is ravaged by increasing levels of rogue magics, divines, and a war over resources and experience. Eventually resulting in a mass exodus of the remaining powerless humans by a coalition of gods. Now translocated to Vauthia where everyone has been given a path to power. They're met with an unfortunate reality. They've only been rescued from one dying world to be tasked with saving the new one. While at the same time they're apparently supposed to compete with one another. Meanwhile Elliot wasn't just given a path to power. He was given a choice. The opportunity for true power is offered. When as he reaches for it the power isn't all it's cracked up to be.Systemless in a world where everyone else has access to one Elliot must grapple with a multitude of problems from without and within. The 'gods' might actually be incompetent, uncaring, downright malicious, or all three. His power is constantly three steps behind those who chose the quick path to power. There's also the antisocial tendencies he's brought with him from earth. Can he trust the 'god' who seems to be taking him under their wing? Will he be able to catch up to his fellow earthlings who're ever increasing in power? Is it possible he may just break out of his shell along the way?*** What to expect ***The initial start will be quite slow, building the setting, history, and individuals involved. There is a small bit of progression in these early chapters for the MC, but more along the lines of figuring out how their systemless power works. though once the story gains traction it won't stop.*** Don't tell Elliot, but ***Elliot hates to admit it but he's very clearly antisocial. Not to mention troubles with thinking that stem from several un-diagnosed disorders he'd rather believe don't exist.*** Image Copyright *** //In this satellite image released by Copernicus Sentinel imagery, 2020 twitter page dated Dec. 31, 2019, shows wildfires burning across Australia.
