𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐋𝐘 — quickly, and you soon found yourself lying in bed in the early hours of the morning, lost in your thoughts in the light of the moon.
Humming softly, you stared out into the night sky, watching the millions of stars twinkle.
You were brought out of your trance, however, when the silence of the cabin was interrupted with some rustling coming from behind you.
Curious to see what had disturbed your day-dreaming, or rather night-dreaming, you turned your head away from the window to look to where the noise was coming from.
"Good morning Wednesday, I hope I didn't disturb you."
Amidst the darkness of the cabin, you could make out Wednesday's pale face, which seemed even brighter illuminated by the moon.
"Don't worry, you didn't. My coffin only allows for 6 hours of oxygen, so I usually awake at this time."
"Ah, I see."
Wednesday paused.
"Hm."
She pulled out a book and a torch from under the covers and shone the torch's light onto the pages.
Looking over her shoulder, you could see the lit pages of the book, which was covered in tiny, black text.
"My, there's not a lot of pictures in that."
She deepened her usual scowl into a look of confusion.
"There are lots of books in the world that don't have pictures"
This time it was your turn to look confused.
"But wouldn't that be utterly boring to read?" You questioned, flopping back down onto your pillow.
"In my world," You began, "Books would have only pictures."
Wednesday looked up from her book.
"What do you mean, your world?"
You looked at her.
"Have you never thought about a dream world of yours?"
"A world where you shut up," Wednesday mumbled.

Ignoring her, you looked back out to the night sky, humming a little tune that had dug its way into your head.
"In your own world, nothing has to be the way things really are, that's the great thing about it. Everything that is, isn't, and everything that isn't, is."
A cat as dark as night jumped up to your open window, and meowed softly, almost as if it was agreeing with your statement.
"For example, you wouldn't say 'meow' in my world," You said to the black cat, propping your arms up on the windowsill, "You would say: 'Why yes, miss y/n.'"
"It's a bad omen, a black cat." Wednesday deadpanned.
"Oh, that's nonsense." You said, offended, pulling the cat into your lap. "Isn't it?"
The cat simply purred in response.
Wednesday went back to her book, whatever she was reading about it must've been awfully interesting.
"What's that you're reading about anyway?"
"The french revolution."
"Well that's not very nice, is it?" You said, still offended from earlier, "You find interest in such unusual topics."
The cat sprung off your bed and onto Wednesday's. You got up and followed it, just in time to look over to Wednesday's book, to see her turn the page to an illustration of a guillotine.
"Ooh, there's a picture!" You excitedly pointed to the black and white image.
"It's a guillotine" Wednesday stated. "Pugsley and I have one back home, they were used to decapitate the royals in France during the revolution."
"Oh dear," You sighed, picking up the cat from the bed. "That's not very good either, is it?"
The cat purred into your chest.
"And I suppose I'll have to let you go too, kitty." You said sadly, walking back over the window.
You knelt on your bed and let the cat back out into the darkness, watching it slink away into the night.
