《The Hybrid》Party Crashers

Alex~
"You know where Tyler is?" I breathed desperately. I hadn't heard from Tyler since we were at the dreadful hunter's camp. Was he okay? My mind swirled with questions as I turned away from the snowy landscape below the beautiful balcony to face Kai. He still looked over the balcony at the land below, his blonde hair flowing lightly with the chilly winds.
"Indeed Darling, I know where my men last spotted him." He said as he finally turned to look at me with his deep blue eyes.
"Where?" I demanded. He let out an evil chuckle as he pushed off of the balcony and walked around me. My hazel eyes watched his every move cautiously.
"Not so fast, Hybrid. All information will come in good time."
"We don't have good time." I spoke through clenched teeth. The hunter clearly wanted something from me. "What is it that you want?"
"I want Liam dead." He declared with an insane smile. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up as I feared this man. Why did he want Liam dead? What did he do to Kai after he saved me from the river? "You see, once he saved your butt from freezing in the lake," He paced slowly in front of me as he explained," I had no idea that you were being tortured and I give you my sincerest apologies," He added with a smile, "but after he saved you he was quite mad with me considering one of my men had hurt his new toy. He chose to get back at me by spilling the secret of us being brothers to my hunters." He said through clenched teeth. I gaped at him and his rage. "All of my hunters turned on me when they became aware that I was part vampire. I had worked all of my life to build up my army of hunters only for that bastard to ruin it all!" He raged as his fists clenched.
"I'm sorry that happened, Kai." I spoke softly as if he was a vicious lion that was close to killing me at any second. The air around us continues to blow freezing kisses on my bare arms and cheek. "But that doesn't mean you need to kill him..."
"That's exactly what it means!" He yelled. "Once I kill Liam, his precious kingdom will fall and I can finally have what I want." His anger faded and the same evil smile spread across his smooth face. He was very young looking and didn't seem able to grow facial hair.

"And what is it that you want? His money?" I blurted.
"You, darling." He gestured towards me. "I want the extremely rare and valuable Hybrid to be in my possession." He announced as he leaned his back against the railing of the glorious balcony.
"I am nobody's possession!" I growled no longer in fear of the brat in front of me. "Tell me where Tyler is or get out of my sight!" Anger spilled out of me.
"Tsk tsk tsk, I would watch your tone with me. I have several of my new men that are watching your dear Tyler as we speak. One word from me and they will kill him." He threatened.
I gasped as I brought both of my hands up to my mouth in shock. Would he really kill Tyler. I felt completely useless at this moment. I had no way of saving Tyler if I angered Kai.
"Now, once I kill my wretched brother, I will come for you next and then-" he began but I cut him off.
"No." I growled as anger boiled inside me, making my wolf steam as she desperately wanted to come out.
"No? I don't like that word." His gleeful expression turned dark as he stepped closer to me. I glared at his movements. He cannot simply expect me to sit by and let him kill Liam and then sweep me to wherever he wanted. I belong to nobody.
"Don't order me around. I belong to nobody! I am my own person and not some jewel you an carry around wherever you like!" I spewed my angry words. I felt his anger sizzle as he processed my venomous words. I moved closer to him suddenly, throwing a punch right to his chiseled jaw. He moved back a small pace from my punch, causing a smirk to reach my pink lips. Finally a punch that has an effect!
"I believe you just made a mistake." He hissed as his eyes turned a bloody red and his half vampire fangs appeared as he bared at me. I didn't think my actions through, I roughly kicked him in the stomach with my heels, sending him rolling over the rails of the second floor balcony. I quickly rushed to look over and see him fall to land in the white snow beneath him with a loud thud. The snow probably broke his fall.
My mind swirled with the cold winds as adrenaline raced through my body from my previous actions. I felt badass! Kai started moving from my ground below and all of the blood drained from my once alive face. I quickly ran back to the door to the balcony. I needed to find Liam.

I opened the door and my ears filled with Halsey's voice as her voice sang beautifully to one of her many glorious songs. There was no time to enjoy her though, I needed to get to the vampire. I rushed through the pumping crowd as my eyes desperately searched for the vampire I had grown strangely accustomed to.
I finally got tired of saying 'excuse me' and started shoving the vampires out of my way as I continued my search. I moved past a few waiters, ducking under their large trays filled with small appetizers and ecstasy. That's right, designer drugs everyone. I personally have never taken any form of drugs. All in all, vampires knew how to party. Don't do drugs.
This massive crow had grown quite annoying. Just as I finally came to a pocket of a clearing, I clumsily tripped over someone's foot that was sticking out and went crashing towards the ground only to be caught by strong arms.
"Glad I caught you, that could've been a nasty fall, Love." A familiar accent filled my ears.
"Liam." I breathed in relief as he made sure I was stable on my feet. My eyes met with his and I was reminded of the last time I had seen him. He was sucking some woman's face. Anger filled me as my heart rate increased.
"What's wrong?" He raised an eyebrow in curiosity.
"Nothing, I have to go." I said turning away, all thoughts of Kai gone. All I wanted to do now is escape Liam and his questioning looks. I walked quickly, dodging everyone in the crowd as I made my way to the door. I exited swiftly and entered the long hallway. I took a deep breath of air as I appreciated how clear the hallway was of vampires. Liam appeared in behind me with his electric vampire speed and grabbed my arm, turning me back to face him. I kept my eyes down to the tiled ground of the hallway.
He moved his hand and lifted my chin so my eyes met with his. " You can't escape me that quickly, Little Wolf. Now tell me what's wrong." he instructed as he tried to read me, his eyes scanning me like a computer.
"Maybe that you were sucking on some blonde chicks face." I blurted angrily. He quirked an eyebrow at me and a smirk filled his lips.
"Didn't know that would bother you." He stated smugly. "Would you rather I had been sucking on your face instead?" He questioned as he leaned closer to me. My stomach swirled at his question. Of course not! I don't have feelings for him.
Do I?
My mind rattled as my heartbeat jumped at an increasing rate. His smirk grew as I realized he could hear my heartbeat. "Kai is here." I blurted trying to change the subject.
"Don't try to change the subject by bringing up my brother. If he were here, I would just simply snap his neck." He muttered. His power scared me sometimes. Here I stood, staring into the eyes of the all powerful homozygous vampire that was capable of killing me in an instant.
"Awe, this hurts my feelings!" Kai's sarcastic pout came from across the room. "Here I thought you wouldn't tell Liam I was here." Liam's head whipped around to glare at his brother.
"Kai." He growled as his fists clenched. "Didn't you learn from the last time I handed your ass to you?" He hissed.
"Ouch! I'm hurt. Do you see this? Real pain." He brought a hand to his mouth and let out a sarcastic gasp as if he had just heard disturbing news.
"What do you want, brother?"
"I am here, for two things." Kai walked closer to us. "Her," He pointed a slender finger towards me, "I want your Hybrid to be mine." He gave me a wink and he then, pretended to think deeply by tapping his finger on his chin. "Oh yes, and I want to kill you." He stated casually.
"You continue to amuse me brother." Liam laughed. "If you honestly think you can kill me and take my Hybrid." His laughter ceased and he grew serious. "Then I will kill you first." He hissed as he lunged for Kai.
