Summary: Set in S2, but Kat has been with Axel since late S1. When Axel doesn't show after leaving to find some supplies, human Kat goes searching for him, only to find out that he was captured by some vampires. Can she rescue him in time?

It was a beautiful day, as Kat continued to walk, tracking down where he might have gone, knowing Axel usually didn't just leave without telling her where he was going. Axel had gone out alone to get some much needed supplies, but hadn't returned.

Meanwhile, Axel hung by his wrists by chains in what appeared to be an old warehouse. He'd lost a lot of blood after being attacked and taken by vampires.

A couple days later, Kat finally found him, which was where there were a lot of vampires, as well as dead humans. Despite him being chained though, she figured he had to still be alive.

When the vampires attacked her, she held her own, eventually killing all of them, and then approached where he hung.

"Axel?" she called, but because of the blood loss, he wasn't awake. She wasn't sure if she could get him out of there by herself, but knew she had to do something. She then, eventually, got him unchained and on the floor.

A while later, Katherine was able to get him out of there and layed him down in the woods, before kneeling by him. She then used a small knife of hers and cut her wrist, deciding to feed him her blood. After all, he had been turned back into a human after formerly being a vampire for a short time. She figured because of this, blood would be able to save him, even though she herself was only a human. However, she knew being a doppelganger, her blood was special, which made it a possibility of it working.

After a few minutes, he began to drink from her. He also began to look much better.

She was relieved when it worked, saving his life.

Later, she and Axel headed home when he felt well enough to travel.
