~ Jess's POV ~

It's a good job I like English and to be quiet honest, this year looks like it could be the best year so far. Mia and I sit talking while I await my very sexy mate's arrival. He is late.

About five minutes later, the door opens and Ma.... Mr Reeves entered. That's going to be a hard one. His icy eyes scan the room and land on me, he smirks slightly making a crimson blush spread across my cheeks.

"Sorry, class." He says before diving in to today's lesson. "Last lesson we took time to get to know each other but unfortunately, we have to crack on with English. Gone with the wind. Anyone heard of it? Or read it?"

Two or three girls raise their hands, but when he asked if they have read it, they said no. I was the only one who has read it.

Mr Reeves spent the lesson talking in quite an animated way. One minute he'd be sat on his desk or stood up. His arms were always moving.

I've read this book more times than I can remember. Soon I realise that the only thing I am paying attention to is the way his muscles ripple under his shirt and the way his tie hangs loose around his neck.

The way he catches catch my eye and smirks. All I want to do is rip his shirt off and oggle his gorgeous body. Every now and then, he runs his hands through his hair.

How is this God literally made for me?

"Jess, shut your mouth." Chuckles Mia from beside me. An embarrassed blush spreads over my face. I look up to see that Mr Reeves is smirking as he sets the class off on the task. His wolf hearing had allowed him to hear that clearly.

The lesson passed quickly and I was eager to leave before I jump on Matt and land us both in serious trouble.

I sit through science and history. Not that I pay any attention. I can feel myself starting to get a little bad tempered. Why am I getting cranky so soon? I have spoken to Matt about this whole mate thing and he said that it could take two or three days to start to miss your mate. I don't understand why this feeling is kicking in so soon.

When the bell rings, I practically jump out my seat. I throw my book into my bag and leave the classroom in a hurry. Mia must know where I am headed because she doesn't try and follow me.

As I am about to open the door to Mr Reeves' room, I feel a hand grab hold of my elbow. I turn round to see Will. My first boyfriend. "Hello, baby." He coos in my ear making me shiver.

"I'm not your baby anymore." I hiss. "Leave me alone." When Will touches me, I feel sick. I don't feel the electric sparks shoot through me like when Matt touches me.

"You will come back to me weather you like it or not." He whispers threateningly in my ear. Just then the door opens and Matt steps out. I feel relief flood through me.

"Take your hands of Miss Smith please." He says in his teacher voice. Reluctantly, Will lets go of my elbow and storms off in the other direction.

Matt and I enter his room and he shuts the door behind us. He locks the door and I throw myself in to his open arms. Suddenly I have calmed down completley. A soft but strong hands strokes the back of my hair.

"You know I heard all that." He informs me, but I already know. "What happened with you two?"

"He was my first boyfriend. Then I walked in on him with another girl." I answer honestly. "But I really don't want to talk about it." I say looking up to him. His eyes meet mine.

"Okay, Princess." He leans down and presses his lips to mine. He doesn't ask for entrance. It's a sweet reassuring kiss. When he pulls back, Matt notices a confused expression on my face.

"You said that it would take two to three days for me to start getting bad tempered if I don't see you. It's taken me just under three hours. Thats how long it takes you, since you're a wolf. But I'm not a wolf. What's happened there? " Matt takes in what I say then let's out a sigh.

"Only males are werewolves but their daughters or female descendants do carry the gene. It's just not strong enough in females to allow them to turn." He explains.

Then the penny drops. As if confirming it, Matt continues. "You must have a family member who is or was a werewolf. "

"But why has it only taken a few hours?" I ask, completely confused.

"It might have something to do with the fact that we've only just found each other. We feel more attached who each other at the beginning as we get to know each other and all."

I nod as he explains to me.

"Or if you do have a family member who is a werewolf, he was or is a very powerful wolf. "
