This person has been facing some issues and they have expressed them in their songs. Now their parents want to hear their songs but the parents are unaware about their issues.

It is entirely understandable that you are nervous or hesitant to share your deepest feelings with other people, especially your parents. There's a sense of fear from the vulnerability of it, and a certain guilt that they don't already know what's happening in your life, right? Sharing your art in any capacity is nerve-wracking. Our art oftentimes shows the deeper layers of ourselves that we don't typically share with others, but it can also be a very freeing thing to expose yourself in such a way with the people closest to you. That's something you have to decide for yourself if that's what you want to do.

Personally, I think it would be wonderful for you to show your parents your music. Your parents love you, and support you in your dreams and goals. They would be thrilled to hear your songs and for you to bare that part of yourself to them. And I am sure they would readily be there to love you and support you through anything you're struggling with. Even so, if you're not ready for it, don't force yourself. It's your art. You choose who sees it. But when you're ready, show your parents. They would love to see it, and I think it would be good for you too.
