When Jasper opened his eyes again, the irises in his eyes were black.

"Hello darlin'"said the Major. I reached my hand up and stroked the side of his face in wonder. This was amazing. He was amazing. However, I voiced my thoughts without knowing.

"Never quite had that reaction 'fore." he replied. I blushed and tried to hide my face out of embarrassment.

"Don' do that darlin'." He said as he pulled my hand away from my face firmly yet gently. I probably looked like a tomato by now.

"M-Major" I stuttered when his hand brushed my collar bone. I watched him close his eyes tightly, as if having an internal battle. When he reopened them, they were the normal gold color. I smiled at Jasper, not knowing what to say.

"I didn't scare you did I?" He asked. I shook my head no and ran my hands up his scarred arms slowly.

"What is going through that pretty little mind of yours?" He asked curiously.

"Well Jazz, I'm thinking you and the Major are absolutely amaz-" I started but stopped when I yawned.

"I forgot, you need sleep." He said as he got up and pulled the sheets back only to turn around to pick me up and place me under the covers. He went to got sit in a chair across from the bed but I grabbed his hand to stop him. I pulled back the covers on the other side of the bed and asked him with my eyes if he would lay with me.

Jazz smiled and within seconds, was under the covers with me. I wiggled closer to him as he put an arm around my waist and whispered in my ear "Sleep well darlin'".

With his words ringing in my ears, I closed my eyes and let darkness take over.
