Ughh my head. Where am I. I thought looking up at the white ceiling. I looked across to see sarada.

"Where am I?" I asked rubbing my eyes because of the sudden amount of light there was in the room.

"We took you to the hospital after you passed out" she answered giving me a sad look as if she was about to cry, it took me a second to realise but when I did I was kinda confused until it hit me.

"Where's dad and y/n" she didn't answer for a minute, she looked down and spoke

"Um well, I'm sorry Boruto" I don't understand, where are they.

"Just hang in there hinata" I heard a voice call calmly a few curtains down, I quickly rushed out of bed and headed towards them.

"Mom!" I shouted going next to her bed "what happened!"

"She tried to fight against the otsutsuki to retrieve y/n and Naruto" Sakura said as I could see the dry tear streaks down her face whilst she healed mom

"W-well where are they now dattebasa"

"Boruto, there's a chance that they're no longer with us" my eyes widened, I-it can't be.

Dad sacrificed his life for us and so did y/n, I promised her I'd be there for her, I ran out of the hospital as fast as I could and headed back to the hokage tower.

I feel so weak, so much of my chakra had been used. Right now me and Naruto are stuck to this chakra tree

"Naruto psst" I whispered

"Y/n are you okay!" He answered

"Yeah I'm alright, how are we going to get out of this" I asked but before he could reply Momoshiki was right in front of me.

"There's no plan child, it's impossible for anyone to save you now" I felt something jab into my neck, it was a injection of some sort whilst Momoshiki was draining our chakra.

"Y/NN!! STAY AWAY FROM HER!!!" Naruto shouted in rage, Momoshiki just laughed along with his partner kinshiki.

I felt myself loosing consciousness as my eyes just couldn't stay open any longer, the last thing I heard was Naruto calling for me to stay awake.

"MOMOSHIKI, WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU YOULL BE DONE FOR!" I shouted, I can't let y/n die.

"Oh don't worry she won't die yet, she's just visiting an old relative of mine" he said, what does he mean by old relative? He couldn't mean her, could he?

I entered the hospital room and walked over to Sakura who was healing Hinata with himawari beside them.

"is he really gone Sasuke" Hinata said quietly referring to her husband.

"No i can still detect his chakra" I told them with shadows covering my eyes.

"They're alive!" Sakura exclaimed happily

"He's alive, I can't detect y/n's chakra, she's gone" I corrected her

"no...." she said quietly as tears threatened to fall out of both our eyes but they couldn't see mine only Sakuras.

I can protect the village but I can't even protect my own daughter, a promise I couldn't keep, it was a broken promise.

"But we can still save Naruto before it's too late, just leave it to me" if I can't save y/n the least I can do is rescue Naruto.

I left to go find Boruto but wasn't surprised to find him at the hokage tower standing in front of a mirror with Naruto's old jacket on.

"I'm the loser"

"You got that right" I told him

"Huh Sasuke"

I started to tell him about how he cheated in the chunin exams and that he's not a ninja anymore but at least he had a family at his age unlike Naruto.

"So my dad, could you tell me what he would've done." He asked which made me smile

"So I guess that means it's not just his weaknesses you're interested in now" Boruto nodded as a reply

"Well then you should just ask him yourself, we're saving him."

"My dads alive!" Boruto said happily and relieved

"I'm able to sense his chakra, I can't tell if he's hurt or not but at the very least he's still alive"

"If you're gonna go help the hokage i hope you'll let us pitch in and help too" the raikage spoke from behind us

"But what about y/n" he asked, I shook my head as a no trying not to show him my weak side. I walked over to the other kages to devise a plan.

N-no I-I don't b-believe it, y/n can-can't be dead. She's the first girl I ever loved and I was hoping we would grow up together but now it's all slipped out the palms of my hands, i refused to believe it.

She's the strongest girl I know, there's no chance that she's dead. We will rescue the both of them even if it's the last thing I do

I awakened and noticed I was in a hospital but wait where is y/n and Boruto

I got out of the bed and attempted to walk but fell over, just as that happened sarada came in

"Mitsuki! Are you alright, you shouldn't be out of bed, you need rest" she concernedly said helping me on to the bed.

"But where is Boruto and y/n!"

"Boruto is okay, the hokage protected us but got kidnapped in the process, I'm surprised on how quick he managed to get over it, right now he's headed to save them with the other kages and my father." She told me as I felt a weight lifted of my shoulder but what about y/n

"Well he is the sun in my sky, but what about y/n?"

"Mitsuki I-I um, she helped the hokage save us all" when she said that I felt my life crumble apart after all she is my life, my first friend, my best friend, my everything and now she's gone.

"But Boruto thinks she might still be alive so don't lose hope because there's still a chance" she's right I must believe, for y/n I'll do anything.

"Okay I will!" I said brightly full of the hope she's given me.

"Good now you've got to rest, you were seriously injured" she grabbed my ankles and then turned me to the side so I was lying in bed and then brought the duvet over me.

"I'll see you later mitsuki, I'll get Shizune to give you a check up" we said our goodbyes and then she left leaving me alone.

Boruto Please bring y/n home.

We've been here for a while but y/n still hasn't woken up which is starting to make me really concerned. Momoshiki is taking the chakra out of me, it hurts a lot more than I thought.

"It hurts like hell but this is making me realise how selfish I've been, Boruto wouldn't have used that tool if I had acknowledged him and stopped treating him like a child. I never took the time to get to know him or understand him, I guess he has the rights to call me a stupid old man." I mumbled to myself quietly

"What the hell are you mumbling about" Momoshiki said as he kept taking both mine and y/n's chakra forcefully. I could see y/n was in pain but she wasn't awake I wonder what's happening with her.

"Will you just give up and let me drain your chakra already"

"Nope sorry that's not gonna happen, I don't give up that easily" I replied giving him a smirk even though I'm in pain.

"Why you-" he stopped mid sentence as we saw people coming down from the sky, sand cut through the part that were trapping us to the chakra tree.

We were falling down as I heard a voice call.

"Hold on dad!" They said as they cut the vine that was tying me to the part of chakra tree.

Sasuke caught Naruto and helped him to the ground, wait is that y/n!

I quickly went over to her so I could set her free, I picked her up bridal style and took her to where Sasuke was.

"Sasuke she's still breathing!" I said as he rushed over to y/n, I saw how happy he was to see her as he whispered with her in his arms

"You're okay, you're okay I've got you now, just stay strong for us" he said quietly to her, I never noticed how soft he is when it comes to his daughters.

"Why isn't she waking up" I asked

"I don't know" he answered unbothered about my question, he kept y/n closer to him.

"Boruto?"

"Dad are you ok" he looked down as if he was ashamed of something

"I'm sorry Boruto, I shouldn't have treated you the way I did, I should've tried to spend more time with you but I didn't" he said, so he does care, that makes me happy and I know I should apologize too.

"I'm sorry too dad, I needed to understand your point of view and that you have to look after a whole village." I answered

"Haha, well now we have to protect the people one more time" he really does do anything if it means he can protect the village.

I put my hand out for a fist bump and for once he returned it.

"What is this place, it's so beautiful"

"It really is child" someone from behind me spoke, I quickly turned around to see a woman with long pale blue hair and white eyes. Wait a minute she looks familiar could it be her

"My name is Kaguya as I'm sure you would know" my eyes widened

"How is that possible, why am I here" I didn't understand the reason but I need to know why

"You seek true peace amongst all shinobi, I can help you. You have a special kekkei genkai that only you have which is infinite sharingan, this ability posses power beyond our imagination, it could even surpass mine. Come and sit down" she stated as we both sat on the patch of grass below us.

"This power can achieve many things including the infinite tsukuyomi, I know you're quite well with history so I take it you know who the akatsuki are but they were all killed. You might not know this but there's a organization called KARA, they have the same goal and another is to revive the original akatsuki. They seek world peace just like you" she spoke giving a warm smile as she held my hand.

"Where can I find them"

"When the times right they'll find you" she responded, so they'll come for me huh.

"Why have you brought me here"

"As I said before, your dream is to make peace to this world and that is the same as my own. I'm not going to force you to do anything, the choice is yours but when they come for you you'll have to have made your decision. I wish I could speak more but I'm afraid we don't have much time, for more answers go to the place where your dream began and that's where the answer will lie" she said cupping my cheek, everything around us started to die and the sky was turning black.

"What do you mean where it all began! I don't understand!"

"I'll give you some of my power but Think hard, I know you can do it and remember the choice is yours" what's that supposed to mean

"Wait I-" I blinked but she was gone, I closed my eyes as I could feel myself waking up.

I did it, I actually did it!

"Well done Boruto I'm proud of you" dad congratulated me, I grinned. Finally I did something that made him happy and acknowledge me.

I heard someone gasp for air as I saw it was y/n, I immediately went to her side to help her

"Y/n your okay! I'm so glad dattebasa, you better not scare me like that again!"

"B-Boruto" bloody hell I feel so tired, most of my chakra has depleted. Boruto had tears down his cheeks so of course I wiped them away

"I really thought i lost you there but deep down I knew you were too strong to give up that easily" he said, I chuckled a bit, this is so like him and I wouldn't change it for the world.

He brung me in for a kiss as we stayed like that for a few seconds

"EHH! You two are dating!" Naruto spoke in disbelief, he started celebrating whilst there was a dark aura coming from the side of him which was Sasuke, he came over to us and them pulled me and Boruto apart but Boruto kept a strong hold on me.

"Let go"

"No way dattebasa, get your own" seriously, you have got to be kidding me. They bickered for a while so I stood and walked away carefully not to fall.

But obviously I had to fall, I was cached by Sasuke thankfully because that would've been really embarrassing.

"Be careful. I'm glad your okay" he said and for the first time I gave him a decent answer

"Thanks dad" by the looks of it he was really happy with my response and gave me a gentle hug.

"Wow Sasuke I've never seen this side of you" Naruto said

"Yeah well don't get used to it, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity" I separated from Sasuke and walked over to Boruto, I'm still not completely comfortable around Sasuke.

I barely know who he is I've only read the books plus I doubt he's staying for long anyway.

Sasuke opened a portal that led us back to Konoha, I tried to walk but I couldn't as I heard Boruto laugh a little from behind me.

"Do you need a little help" I nodded to shy to reply properly which isn't like me.

He picked me up and carried me through the portal with an angry Sasuke glaring at him.

We all went through and saw some people waiting for us, great I just want some sleep so that's exactly what I'm going to do.

I saw mom and himawari in the distance as me and dad went towards them but before I did so I should probably pass y/n to Sasuke.

I looked down to see her sleeping and drooling a bit, kawaii. I'm so happy she's okay I don't know what I'd do without her. I love her so much and nothing will ever change that.

Sasuke cleared his throat as a way of saying 'give her back right now' I hesitantly passed her over gently so that I wouldn't hurt her as Sasuke did the same and then just walked off.

I went over to mom to see her hugging dad, she must have been worried sick. She enveloped me in a massive hug but it was nice knowing that I'm home.

I was waiting for Sasuke to return as I could see him heading towards us, hold on is that who I think it is.

Both me and sarada ran over to him to see he had y/n in his arms

"She's just sleeping, most of her chakra was drained but other than that she's okay"

I felt relief wash over me as I saw my beautiful daughter before me.

"Thank you so much Sasuke!" I thanked him over and over, I mean how could I not

"She's my daughter too, I'd do anything for them" he said, thank god she's alive, I couldn't bear the thought of her being dead.

We're finally back home, nonetheless I can't get my mind off the little visit I had, What did Kaguya mean by where it all began, but I do have an idea of where that might be.
