"What in the world..." Eunji's eyes were opened wide.

Her hands gently picked up the piece of clothing which was carefully placed on top of her bed.

"Do you like it?" Her mother spoke from the room next to hers, turning off the vacuum cleaner.

"It's completely ripped." Eunji continued, her eyes traveling over the dark dress in her hands.

It had a dark purple colored, open-necked top part with lace all over it. The girl noticed a few traces of spider web and several layers.

Nonetheless, it was gorgeous.

While speaking, the smile on her face didn't once leave her face. The fabric was comfortable, but at the same time not to loose-fitting.

What was this stunning piece of clothing doing in her room?

"What do you mean ripped? It's intentionally cut in! For the additional spookiness." Eunji's mother grimaced.

"Ah, right." That's when it hit the girl, "The upcoming halloween party...I almost forget about that."

"The matching hat is in the living room." The adult was about to leave Eunji's room, "Make sure to dress yourself up for once! Be the prettiest witch of them all!"

"I actually wanted to dress up as a ghost." Eunji glanced back at the white bed sheet in the corner of the room, in which she already cut two holes in, "But this is so much better."

After her mother had left, she approached her mirror, holding the clothing tightly in her right hand.

Eunji was hesitant as she looked at herself in the mirror, watching her own face lit up when she held the dress in front of her own frame.

It fitted like a glove.

_

"You already got your costume?" Youngmin dramatically let herself fall onto her seat, eyes widened, "I haven't even finished planning the whole thing yet!"

Eunji eyed her friend with pitiful eyes, "That's on you. You wanted to take over the organization for...What are we calling it again?"

"Fang-tastic Feast!" Youngmin enthusiastically spoke in response, standing up in excitement.

Eunji on the other hand slightly flinched as she was reminded of someone who actually had fangs.

"It's this year's special halloween party. There will be the biggest variety of food of all the time and the best entertainment and spookiest costumes at our school!" Her friend continued promoting the said party in the most extra way possible.

"Why are we doing this again?" Eunji couldn't keep up with her friend's energy, as she laughed.

"To earn some money and use it to finally get us the school trip we deserve." Youngmin explained, suddenly raising an eyebrow, "We've talked about this before, why are you asking me these questions?"

"Really? We did?" The other tilted her head, thinking about it carefully. Now that she thought about it, she really was a lot more inattentive than she usually was.

"I'm sorry. I'm really not myself these days." Eunji was spacing out a lot more and her friend noticed it, "But I really love the idea, I do!"

"You should, because the station I assigned you to is really, really important." Youngmin smirked, looking to the classroom door as if she was waiting for someone.

"Ah, there he is."

And right then, Jungwon entered. His backpack was hanging loosely over his right shoulder, as he threw his black hair back. Probably because his bangs were already starting to poke his eyes.

Usually his gaze would be lowered, but this time he looked around the class till his eyes would met Eunji's.

Meaning that he just caught her staring at him.

This caused her to turn away, while pretending to scribble something in her notebook.

"Good morning, everyone." Youngmin was standing in front of the class the moment everyone went to their seats, "The list for the upcoming party is now outside our classroom. Your shift and station is written right next to your name. You will be responsible for your station, so make sure to prepare something till next week. Thank you!"

And the class cheered enthusiastically, showing their excitement for the upcoming festival.

Eunji grinned at her friend proudly. Youngmin could have been such a good class president, but for some reason she never wanted to take on that responsibility.

"Go look at the list!" Her friend walked past her, nudging Eunji's shoulder, "You will like it...I promise."

The girl nodded and smiled, before standing up.

One look at the paper attached to the wall was enough for Eunji, "Youngmin, you've got to be kidding me."

"Why?"

"What do you mean why? Why's everyone in big groups consisting of at least 5 members except for me and Jungwon? Why are we alone?!"

"Why? You don't like it?"

"No..No, that's not the point." Eunji groaned, massaging her temples. Her face was red, "And we got assigned to the karaoke station on top of that. You know I can't sing!"

"You always say that! But it's not true." Her friend stubbornly crossed her arms, "And It's not like you have to sing the whole entire time anyway."

"I really...fucking hate you." Eunji let out a sigh, admitting her defeat. What was done is done, there was nothing she could do to change it anyway.

"Of course, of course~"

Even though she had been spending time alone with Jungwon the whole time already, she couldn't help but feel unsure and nervous.

Ever since she started to feel self conscious about herself, things hasn't been the same for them.

And Eunji hated it. The same way he did.

But now there was no chance for her to avoid him any longer. All she could do was emotionally prepare herself for the party, knowing that it was going to be a hell of a ride.

And she was more than right.

"It's so uncomfortable wearing this." I mumbled, holding up the dress so I wouldn't step on it while walking up the stairs.

I was on my way to my locker to change these deadly 4 inch heels I was wearing into my comfortable sneakers.

There was no way I was going to sacrifice my ability to walk for the sake of my outfit.

"Wait up!" Youngmin sprinted after me, struggling just as much in her ghost costume. She cut the eyes too small and was almost unable to see anything.

"You look so good, Eunji." Her friend spoke, letting out a squeal, "The dress is so pretty!"

"Do you think so?" I smirked in satisfaction, feeling slightly embarrassed. The hat was way too big for my head, but overall I liked the costume as well, "For some reason my mother is taking halloween this year pretty seriously. That's why she put so much effort in my witch makeup."

I pointed at the purple drawn eyeliner on my face and the smokey eye look my mother was trying to achieve. It looked smudged, but I guessed it was the look my mom was going for.

"Jungwon is going to fall in love with you, I can feel it." She continued when I suddenly hit her arm to stop her, "In case he hasn't fallen in love yet.."

"Shut up."

"I'm serious!"

I didn't answer and just closed my locker with a loud thud while my cheeks were turning red AGAIN.

I was growing sick of it.

How was I going to ever get over my feelings for him if the people around me always remind me of them?

"Now hurry up! Jungwon is waiting for you." She pushed me towards the karaoke station.

And there he was.

He never attended any of our school's festivals before.

But for some reason this year was different and everyone, including me was surprised.

Jungwon was dressed up as...you have three guesses - as a vampire.

I was sure he pretended not to notice me so I wouldn't feel awkward walking towards him.

Despite changing my shoes, my walk was a lot more unstable as before. But thanks to my slow walking, I had enough time to admire him.

Jungwon didn't change much.

Obviously.

He didn't have to.

He was wearing a black suit and his hair was slicked back which complimented his pale skin quite well. The dark red cloak made his broad shoulders pop and in combination with the white victorian high collar blouse he was wearing, he looked like he came straight out of a castle.

I couldn't help but gulp once again, feeling my palms becoming sweaty.

He was as pretty as a picture.

"Uh..Hi." I looked down in embarrassment. Now that I stood in front of him, I couldn't look at him in the eye.

That's when I heard him chuckle, making me even more nervous, "Eunji?"

"What..?" I mumbled, still embarrassed.

I was internally thanking the universe that the light in the whole building was dimmed to match the given atmosphere or else he could have seen the deep blush on my face.

"Can't you look at me?"

In a snap I looked up, startling not only him but me as well.

It took him a second before he caught himself again as he smiled wholeheartedly, "Did you know?

I've never seen anyone as beautiful as you."

Oh.

The butterflies, No, the entire zoo in the pit of my stomach was going crazy.
