"Everybody is so fast at writing everything down.." Eunji mumbled, hurriedly shaking her hand to relieve it from the constant pressure it was under.
Dropping her pen, she yawned and stretched her arms.
"Stop taking notes then." Jungwon shrugged, making her glare at him.
All their other classmates started to leave already and Eunji couldn't help but catch a few of them staring at her and Jungwon in curiosity.
"If I don't take notes, I won't pass, Jungwon." She groaned, looking around to find her pencil to start writing again.
"Where's my pencil?" She muttered in annoyance as she started to really get irritated.
Her gaze would stop at him.
"You.." She began, but paused when he suddenly broke out in the most charming smile she had ever witnessed.
Eunji even forgot about the pencil that was in his hair and just stared at him in awe.
He, on the other hand started to get embarrassed under her intense stare, "Y-You are looking at me like that again. I told you to cut it out." Jungwon stammered, clearing his throat.
"And I told you to stop distracting me." She shot back, swiftly taking back the pencil from his hair.
He was taken aback at the sudden touch when she reached over near his face, "I'm almost finished. Just one more word..."
"Finally." The boy jumped up from his seat and threw his backpack over his shoulder, "Let's go."
_
"Do you want me to hold your bag?" The boy side-eyed Eunji, watching her tired expression as she sighed.
"I'm fine." She mumbled, strolling along the path with slow steps, "Thanks."
Jungwon watched her closely, his hand was prepared and already on standby in case she tripped or lost balance.
"We've arrived." He reminded her, when she continued walking past the ice cream parlor she wanted to go to.
"Oh, right."
Sitting down at the only table available, Jungwon couldn't help but eye her worriedly.
Eunji had been weary and sleepy all day and he didn't know what to do.

"What flavor do you want to get? I will order it for you." He decided to overcome his unsureness, "Chocolate? Vanilla?"
"Anything. Just not mint chocolate." Eunji smiled gratefully, as he nodded.
Arriving at the cashier's desk, Jungwon was hit with the biggest variety of ice cream flavors ever, making it even harder for him to order since he was one of the most indecisive person to ever walk on earth.
Especially when it came to things he was foreign with.
In this case, human food.
"I will...take number 1?" He hesitated, touching the back of his head. Jungwon had no idea what number 1 was and what flavors it contained.
But it was the most pricey and the most delicious-looking one, so he decided to order it.
"Do you want two spoons with it?" The cashier glanced behind Jungwon as the boy followed. Just to see Eunji looking outside the shop's window impatiently.
A smile made its way up to his lips as he unconsciously nodded, "Yes..please."
Jungwon could only see the back profile of his first ever friend, but the way she was tapping her shoe to a beat only she would know and how her hands were fidgeting with one another restlessly, made him feel like he had to hurry up.
And only a few minutes later he returned to the table swiftly, making Eunji turn around to him.
"Were you busy being all over that cashier or why did you take so long?" She would say grumpily.
"The cashier?" Jungwon raised an eyebrow, looking back to see the cashier he just spoke to serve another costumer.
Eunji on the other hand now regained her energy the moment she laid her eyes on the beautiful masterpiece in front of her.
No, she wasn't talking about Jungwon, but the ice cream he had ordered.
She wasn't even angry or grumpy anymore.
"Why? He's hot." Eunji followed his actions and looked over to the cashier as well, when the boy sat down abruptly, startling her slightly.
"I hope it tastes good." Jungwon spoke under his breath, but Eunji managed to catch it as a smirk played her lips.

"Thank you for treating me, Jungwon." She was just about to take a big spoonful of the cold ice cream, when she noticed the second spoon being right next to it.
"As if I couldn't finish this alone." Eunji scoffed, taking the second spoon before putting another big scoop of ice cream on top of it.
Just when she wanted to dig in, Jungwon leaned forward and ate one spoonful himself, making her eyes widen to the fullest.
He didn't react to the coldness nor did he once looked at her after eating one spoon of her ice cream.
"Are you out of your fucking mind?" Eunji whisper-yelled, "You can't eat this!"
"There's mint chocolate in it." Jungwon simply replied, making her scoff in disbelief, "At least, I think it is mint. I'm not sure."
"Spit it out." Eunji held out a handkerchief for him as he eyed her confusedly, "Did you forget what happened yesterday? You can't eat human food."
"I won't die." Jungwon shrugged, irritating her even more.
"You will. I will be the one to kill you if you don't stop right now." Concern was written all over her face.
Now it was her who was acting overly worried and parent-like.
"Only if you tell me what's wrong." He stubbornly replied, "You've been acting weird all day."
"It's because I didn't get any sleep."
"And why is that?"
"Because I felt guilty, okay?! I still felt guilty about yesterday that I couldn't sleep."
Jungwon looked at her perplexed. He expected all kind of answers, but this surely wasn't one of them.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes." For some reason, she felt embarrassed. Quickly changing the topic, she turned away from him, "You got ice cream on your face, you bonehead. If you don't wipe it off your face, I will."
"Go ahead." The boy leaned forward in the most nonchalant way that she couldn't help but scoff once again.
Taking a tissue into her hand, she reached out to wipe his face. His intense stare did not leave her once, causing her to gulp.
What's with this tension?!, Eunji thought, suddenly feeling nervous.
Just when she was about to finish, he took ahold of her wrist all of a sudden, making her drop the tissue.
Her heart seemed to have skipped a beat.
Because right in this moment, Jungwon was leaning his cheek into her hand.
She was basically cupping his face right now.
"You are warm, Eunji."
The way he said it and the way his eyes were still staring down at her, wasn't helping her with the situation at all.
What the fuck?!!??, Eunji screamed internally.
The warmth in her face in contrast with the coldness she was feeling from touching his doll-like face, caused her blush to deepen.
Pulling away, she cleared her throat, "Geez, stop acting like a child."
The girl turned away from him, quickly finishing the ice cream to cool herself down.
Luckily it hasn't melted yet.
She had to leave this place as soon as possible.
There was no way she could continue being in the same space as him any longer.
"Are you done?" He tilted his head.
"Y-Yeah."
"Let me walk you home then."
And that's how the two of them ended up walking together. Eunji couldn't reject his offer since it was starting to get dark.
"Jungwon." She looked down to her shoes, keeping a certain distance to him, "There's one more thing I wanted to ask you."
"You said that last time too." The boy chuckled, "What is it?"
"Do vampires age?"
"Mh?" He looked at her in confusion.
"Let's say I'm...70 years old. Does that mean you are still a teenager?"
"No. I would be 70 years old too." Jungwon nodded, "Since I'm not a full vampire, I age just like you do. I might look slightly younger..."
Eunji smiled, "I'm glad then."
"Why?"
"Just because."
