《Pranking The Bad Boy》Chapter 26.

Slowly, I started to wake up.
I let out a tired yawn and snuggled closer into my pillow.
Hold on....why was my pillow moving?
My eyes snapped open and I saw that as a matter of fact, I was not laying on a pillow. Instead I was laying on Ryder's chest, that was slowly going up and down with his even breaths.
My thoughts drifted back to last night.
It was indescribable.
The way he made me feel. How he had caressed every inch of my body with care and love. I would always remember last night, for the rest of my life.
I felt Ryder stir and looked up to see him smiling down at me.
I smiled back and picked up my head to kiss his lips.
He pulled me tighter to him and nuzzled his head into my neck. He trailed kisses under my jaw and along my neck. One of his hands traveled down my back and to my butt, grabbing it lightly.
I smacked his hand away and he looked up at me, smirking.
I gave him a warning look but he ignored it and started to talk.
"You seemed to like that yesterday."
I rolled my eyes. "It's great how those are the first words you say to me."
I let go of him, trying to get out of bed but he pulled me back down to him.
"No, stay," he mumbled and yawned, in a very cute way.
I sighed but decide to agree because I didn't exactly mind how comfy I was at the moment. I lied down next to Ryder again and put my head on his chest, feeling the soft and steady beat of heart.
I was almost asleep again when I heard a firm knock on the door. I decided to ignore it and stay in bed, hoping that whoever was standing on the other side of the door got the point and left.
But as fate would have it, he didn't and kept on knocking.
Ryder groaned and slipped out from under me. He put on some fresh boxers and his sweatpants before tossing one of his shirts at me.
"Put that on. I don't want anybody seeing you except me."
I rolled my eyes but complied and put it on. I also grabbed some underwear before laying back down and pulling the covers up to my waist.
I heard Ryder opening the door and groan annoyed when he saw who it was.
"What's got your panties in a twist?" I heard Blake ask and then I saw him walking into the room.
He saw me and it looked like a lightbulb went off in his head. I raised an eyebrow at him, asking him what was going on but he ignored me and started smirking at Ryder.
"Oh I see. Nothing got your panties in a twist, but it was you who got into her's," he said, looking pleased with his 'detective skills'.
Ryder shot him a glare, mentally telling him to keep his mouth shut. "Why are you here?"
"Because, my friends, it is currently 9am and we leave at 10. And I have a feeling that if I wouldn't have shown up, you two would have never come out of bed," he answered and went back to smirking.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed my phone off the night stand, bored with this conversation. When I checked all of the message I had gotten, I got out of bed, forgetting that I was only wearing Ryder's shirt and some underwear.

But of course, Blake was there to remind me because he started to whistle when he saw me, wanting to get Ryder riled up.
Ryder looked at why he was whistling and glared at Blake again, once he did find out why. He shoved Blake out of the door and called after him that we'll be down soon before closing the door again.
He walked back fully inside the room and saw me standing in front of the bed with a raised eyebrow and an amused look on my face.
Ignoring me, he went to pick out some clean clothes out of his bag but set them down and turned to me when I didn't move out of my position.
I smiled at him. "You're quite possessive. I don't know if I'll be able to live with that," I teased.
He scowled and walked over to me, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer. In return, I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"You're mine. Nobody gets to see you except me," he said.
"Is that so?" I teased.
"Yes, so you are going to have to live with it."
He kissed me before smacking my butt lightly and letting me go to pick up his clothes. "Let's take a shower."
I laughed and placed my hand against his chest, keeping him in his place. "I'll take a shower first and then you can take one after me."
He pouted and pulled my closer. "You're no fun."
"Looks like you're gonna have to live with it," I said, repeating what he had said moments before and pecked his nose before getting some clothes.
I saw him roll his eyes but lay down on the bed and watch me gather all the things I needed.
"You know, you're ass looks great," he commented randomly.
"I know," I said and winked. I blew him a teasing kiss and walked into the bathroom, closing the door.

Ryder and I arrived in the lobby and walked over to the breakfast area where almost the whole team was already eating.
We had 15 minutes left to eat because Ryder decided to take his sweet time and not hurry.
Idiot. How does he expect me to eat in 15 minutes without still being hungry?
You get me, right?
We set down our bags next to the pile where everyone else had put theirs and got some food. After piling our plates with everything we wanted, we sat down on the bench side of a table where Blake and another team member were sitting.
When Blake noticed us he started smirking again.
Both of us rolled our eyes while he leaned forward and rested his head on his hands.
"What took you two so long?" he teased.
"Ryder decided to be a slow poke and not pack at a normal pace," I explained and spread some cream cheese on my bagel.
"Uh huh. Sure," Blake responded, not believing me.
Even though he should. Because I swear it was true. He really did take forever.
Ryder put his arm around my shoulders and used his other hand to pick up his toast. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and I set down my bagel to get it.
Whoever was calling me better have a damn good explanation as to why he was interrupting my breakfast.
I checked the caller ID before answering and saw that it's Dylan.
"Sup', big bro," I said and bit into my bagel.
Ryder scooted closer to me so that he can listen in on the conversation. I switched my phone to me other ear so that it was further away from him. He didn't give up though and moved his face closer to mine so I pushed it away with my hand but he came back again.

"You're coming home today, right? " Dylan asked, no emotion in his voice whatsoever.
"Yeah, I am. And you seem awfully excited about that."
"Sorry. When are you arriving? " he asked, still keeping his voice blank.
"Like at around 4pm."
"Okay, I'll pick you up."
"Uh, alright. Thanks."
"Is Ryder going to be there too? "
I looked over at Ryder who was still trying to listen and furrow his brows when he heard his name.
"I think so. Unless he either misses or jumps out of the bus."
Ryder rolled his eyes when he heard me so I added something.
"Or I push him out of it. Either one," after finishing, I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Okay. See you then."
"Alright, by--" Dylan hung up before I could even finish saying goodbye.
Something was definitely going on. He was acting very suspicious. There was something I didn't know and I had a feeling I didn't want to find out either. His tone made me feel like I was in trouble or something.
Not thinking anything of it, I put my phone back in my pocket. Ryder also went back to eating but I took his fork out of his mouth to get his attention.
"Do you know what privacy is?" I asked him.
He smiled at me like a little child and shook his head. "Nope," he answered, popping the 'p'.
I rolled my eyes and started to eat my scrambled eggs with his fork because I had forgotten to get myself one.
"That's mine," Ryder said and pointed at his fork.
"And I'm using it."

"You already know everything. We'll stop two times on this six hour drive. If there's an emergency come to me. But only if someone broke some bone in their body or they're bleeding to death. Otherwise, leave me in peace," coach said and walked into the bus and sat down in one of the seats at the very front.
It was after breakfast and we had all already put our bags away and were now getting on the bus to drive home.
Ryder sat down in a seat next to the window and I pouted while sitting on the one next to him.
"I wanted the window seat," I whined and gave him my best puppy eyes to get him to switch seats.
"Well to bad," he said and smiled at me.
I scoffed. "Pleeeeeeaaaaaase!" I whined even more.
"Why?"
"Because it's the window seat."
"That's not a reasonable explanation."
"Yes it is."
He rolled his eyes and made himself comfortable in my seat. "Well then you're out of luck.
"Rydeeeeeeeer!"
"Ryder, just let the girl sit in the damn seat. Because if not, I'm 100% certain she's gonna keep on whining and won't shut up the whole ride home. And frankly, I don't want that nor does anybody here," Blake voiced and turned around to look over his seat at us.
"He's right, you know," I said and nodded my head in agreement.
Ryder looked to me, then to Blake, then back at me before letting out a loud sigh. He picked me up and put me next to the window after moving into the aisle seat.
"Yay!" I cheered and got comfortable in the seat.
"You act like a child," Ryder sayid but couldn't help the small smile that came onto his face.
I smiled proudly at him.

I heard voices and noticed that I was leaning on Ryder's shoulder. I must have fallen asleep during the drive.
They were speaking in hushed voices.
So I did what anyone else would have done. Pretend to still be asleep and listen to what they say if they think you're still asleep. Duh.
I could make out the voices of Ryder and Blake talking to each other.
"So, who should we draw on?" I heard Blake ask.
I could image the excited look on his face and barely being able to wait.
"I don't know," Ryder answered.
Blake groaned. "Oooh! What about Kennedy?" he whispered.
Okay, no! Not happening.
"Don't even think about it," I warned, keeping my eyes closed.
"Oh, hey. You're awake," Ryder said.
"Yeah. No thanks to you two."
"Hey, Kennedy. Who should we draw on?" Blake asked me.
I yawned and opened my eyes, sitting upright in my seat. "I don't know. Mike?"
"No, that's boring."
"Well then you choose," I said and rolled my eyes.
"I've got it!" Blake exclaimed and snapped his fingers at us.
Ryder and I both looked up to him, waiting for him to tell us his great idea.
"Well?" Ryder asked, impatiently.
Blake stayed quiet for a few more seconds before answering, wanting to build up more suspense.
"Coach," he said and nodded his head with a big smile.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" I asked him.
I wasn't joking. Coach is not someone you wanna mess with. Especially if he's the one controlling your warm-ups and training.
Blake rolled his eyes at my question. "It'll be fine."
I put my hands up in defeat. "Okay. Whatever you want. I'll be there at your funeral."
Blake looked over to Ryder, waiting for his opinion.
"I agree with her," he said and nodded his head at me. "I don't know if it's a smart idea."
"Well I don't care what you have to say. I'm doing it." He held his hand out to Ryder who placed the black sharpie in it. "Thank you."
He got up and walked to the front of the bus. After checking if coach was asleep, he gave us a thumbs up and bent down to start drawing.
"That kid's trying to get himself killed," I said and shook my head.
Ryder shrugged and placed his hands behind his head, relaxing into his seat. "Let him do what he wants. He'll learn from his mistakes sooner or later."
I silently agreed and leaned against Ryder again who in return put his arm around me.

"Everybody, up and out! Let's go!" coach yelled.
We had arrived at the school again after a long six hours. Coach hadn't noticed what was on his face yet. And I'm hoping it stays that way until all of us are a safe distance away from him.
Everyone got up and started to file out of the bus. Once we're all outside, I stretched, making my shirt rise up a little.
Ryder noticed and placed his hand on my lower back where some skin was showing. He pulled me closer and smirked.
"What?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
He just smiled and shook his head. "Nothing."
"Well hello there, you two lovebirds," we heard a voice say.
We turned around to look who was talking and saw Dylan standing in front of us with his arms crossed over his chest and a cocked eyebrow.
Oh shit.

Thief of Time
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Book 1: The Legend of Tot Synopsis: Claud Primus, a self-declared master thief, has a simple goal. To live forever. It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Dia, forced to wield arms, begins and ends a battle that opens her eyes to the vast dangers that lurk in this sundered world. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer. With them as prime suspects, the Seekers of Life must move carefully...but the Coloured Gods are not the only divinities eyeing them closely. The Moons, bristling from repeated defeats, are looking for new recruits, and the Seekers of Life are prime cannon fodder. Above all, destiny marches on, the unfeeling clock a warning to all. The Trial of Aeons will soon arrive. Book 10: Destiny Divine Synopsis: ??? Release frequency: one every few days or something, I guess.
