《Pranking The Bad Boy》Chapter 27.

"Shit," Ryder cursed under his breath.
'Shit' is right.
We sprung apart from each other and I smiled innocently at my brother while Ryder rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Sup' Dylan," he said.
"Don't 'sup Dylan' me," my brother responded.
He walked over to us and tried to act more intimidating by standing up to his full hight.
"Does anyone care to explain as to why I found out that my sister was getting close to Ryder by a freshman?" he asked us.
"Look, Dylan--" Ryder started but Dylan cut him off.
"No! You look!" Dylan grabbed Ryder by his shirts and pushed him against the bus. He got up in Ryder's face, looking furious.
I nervously ran a hand through my air.
You might be wondering, 'hey why don't you go over there and pull them apart?' Well I've learned that when my brother gets serious about something, it's best not to get in the way. I learned that the hard way. I had a black eye for a week. Of course Dylan was sorry and apologised non-stop. But still, I don't plan on that happening again any time soon.
"That is my little sister. And now I'm hearing that you two are together? Bullshit! I know what you do. You can't be in relationships!" my brother yelled at Ryder.
Ryder just stayed quiet and took it all in. I think he also knew it was best not to talk back to Dylan right now.
"I don't care if you're friend, but I will not let some egoistical douchebag break her heart! Because I know that's what you can be!"
Okay, remember what I said about not getting involved? Screw that. I really needed to help.
I ran up to where they were having a more or less one sided argument.
"That's enough!" I shouted and pulled Dylan off of Ryder.
He spun around and looked at me with a mad face. "What do think you're doing? Getting involved with this guy? And besides, he's my friend."
I scoffed. "Okay, first of all, I knew him first. Before you. Longer. Second, I know what I'm doing. Ryder isn't like that. Or at least not anymore. What you heard were stories of the past. And I don't know if you've noticed but right now we're in the present."
Dylan seemed to calm down just a little bit, but he still glared at Ryder.
"She's right," Ryder agreed. "I would never intentionally hurt Kennedy. She's much too important for me to do that."
Dylan narrowed his eyes even more. "If I ever hear or even feel like you hurt her, I will skin you alive and then slowly kill you. I will not hesitate to end your life if that ever happens."
"Okaaaaay.... thank you for those wonderful images," I said and stepped between the two guys. "Look, I think we can all come to an understanding. He won't hurt me," I nodded my head at Ryder. "And you won't kill anyone," I nodded at Dylan.
Both agreed.
"So you're fine with us being together?" Ryder asked.
Dylan's face softened. "I guess. But if I ever see you making out or kissing or any of that, I will knock you out."

"Fair enough."
I let out a huge sigh of relief and I'm pretty sure you could visibly see me relaxing.
"Come on. Let's go home," Dylan said.
I nodded and turned to say bye to Ryder. I was about to kiss him but remembered that Dylan was still standing there.
Ryder noticed too and kissed the side of my head.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
"What the hell! Kids!" coach angrily yelled.
Ryder and I looked at each other with wide eyes and then to coach, who had seen himself in the window of a car. He furiously tried to wipe the marker off his face but it didn't come off.
He laughed humourlessly and turned to us. "Oh you do not want to come to school tomorrow," he said and gave us a murdering look.
"Okay, well gotta go. Bye," I quickly said to Ryder and ran over to Dylan's car.

"Am I driving you?" Dylan asked me.
"No. I'm taking my bike. But thanks."
It was Thursday morning, the day after we arrived back home. The day after Dylan freaked out at Ryder about the whole 'us being together' thing.
I just hoped they weren't gonna have this silent hatred towards each other. Their both huge parts of my life and I wouldn't want to choose. But then again I knew that it wouldn't happen because that would be way to much drama for them.
I got on my bike and put on my helmet while Dylan got into his car.
I revved my engine and gave him an evil grin.
"Race ya!" I shouted and drove down the street to school.
_______________________
10 minutes later I drove into the school's parking lot. I parked in my usual spot and noticed that Ryder was already here. He was standing next to his bike and leaning against it with his back, watching me drive into the parking lot and stop.
I took off my helmet and he walked up to me.
"Hey, baby," he said before giving me a quick kiss.
I smiled at the nickname
"So I was thinking we should do something after school," Ryder suggested and pecked my nose.
Behind us, someone cleared their throat and we turned around to see Dylan standing behind us with just a little bit of disapproval and annoyance in his face.
I hadn't even noticed that he drove into the parking lot.
Ryder rolled his eyes and leaned back to stand up straight again. "We're together. What did you expect us to do? Get nervous just by making eye contact?"
"Yes!" Dylan exclaimed. "I don't ever want to think about my baby sister kissing someone. Or sleeping with someone. Wait! You two haven't slept together, right?" he asked us, pointing at us with his finger.
"Of course we haven't," Ryder lied smoothly and gave Dylan a reassuring smile.
Dylan relaxed and let out a deep breath. "Oh, okay. Good."
If only he knew...
Dylan walked past us and towards the school. "Keep your hands off of each other!" he called over his shoulder and walked into the school building.
Ryder turned back towards me. "This is gonna be interesting with your brother," he stated.

"Tell me about it!" I groaned and slumped my head against Ryder's shoulder.
He chuckled at me being over dramatic and picked my head up. "Let's go inside. I'm sure Isla is dying to see you again."
I perked up at the mention of her name. "Isla! I have to see her!"
I quickly got my backpack and properly turned off my bike before racing past Ryder who was holding out his hand for me to take. I could hear him scoff when I ran right past him and into the building.
I ran down halls and to the classroom where Isla had her first lesson of the day. Sure enough, she was leaning against the wall and looking bored out of her mind.
"Isla!" I called and she looked up to see who called her name.
Once she saw me a big smile took over her face and we ran towards each other.
We literally collided against each other and hugged each other tightly.
"I've missed you," I said while laughing.
"Me too. It was so boring without you," Isla replied.
"Wow," a voice said.
Isla and I looked up to see who was interrupting our reunion and saw Ryder and Blake leaning against the wall and watching us.
"Can you believe it's been several weeks since we've know each other and we're together but I have never gotten a reaction like that from her?" Ryder said to Blake, referring to me and him.
I rolled my eyes and pulled Isla tight against me. "Well maybe if you wouldn't have split personalities and would appreciate me more I would be more happy to see you," I said and stuck my tongue out at Ryder.
Now it was Ryder who rolled his eyes and looked at Blake again. "See this? This is what I have to deal with."
I pouted at Ryder and just then, the bell rang, signalling us to go to our class.
I let go of Isla. "See you later. We'll catch up in chemistry."
"Um, what about listening to the lesson?" Blake asked and Ryder nodded in agreement.
"Psh," I said and waved my hand and dismiss. "It's not like we learn anything important anyway."
We said bye to Isla and then the three of us walked to Mr. Stevens class. Late of course.
Blake walked in first and then Ryder and I followed.
Everyone was already in their seats and waiting for the lesson to start. Mr. Stevens looked up at us and sighed exasperatedly before walking over to us.
"Sup teach," Blake greeted.
I wiggled my fingers at him, saying hello.
"Come on, Mr. Stevens. I thought you'd be more excited to see us again," Ryder said. "Aren't you glad we're back?"
Mr. Stevens smiled sarcastically at us. "I'm not even going to ask why you're late." He looked directly at me. "But let me guess. It has something to do with you all seeing a rainbow colored dragon and wanted to take a picture with it?"
"Hey, you're getting good at this!" I said and gave him a big smile.
He groaned. "Just sit down."
We took our seats and directed our attention halfway to the front of the classroom. The other half we used to have a conversation.
"Why do you think Mr. Stevens is always so moody?" I asked while Ryder took my hand and starts to trace circles on it with his thumb.
"Maybe his wife is leaving him. Or his mother is visiting and he's just stressed," I continued.
Ryder chuckled lightly at my words and I smiled.
"Alright class. Before we starts with today's lesson I just want to have a quick interruption. I would like to know how your presentations are going so far."
I snapped my head up to look at Mr. Stevens and Ryder stopped moving his finger over my hand.
"I hope everyone has at least already read the book and started to write down a few ideas of how they want to do their presentation."
Ryder started to laugh but covered it up with a cough while I hid my smile behind my hand.
"Just remember to not forget about it," Mr. Stevens reminded us before starting to talk about some other boring topic.
Ryder resumed to trace circles on my hand and I relaxed into my chair.
It was good to be back home.

"And then what?!" Isla asked, a little too loudly.
Mr. Olivares shot us a look, telling us to be quiet and continued writing formulas on the blackboard.
"And then what?" Isla whispered.
"Blake hit him with a branch and he got knocked out. After that we left," I said, keeping my voice low.
I was currently telling Isla all about my weekend. It's not like we usually paid attention in chemistry anyway.
"That's completely crazy! Do you not know what normal weekends are?" Isla asked.
"Apparently not."
"Miss Kennedy and Miss Isla, do you have something to share with us?" Mr. Olivares asked us.
"No, that's why we whispered," I answered. "Otherwise we would have talked in a normal tone." Okay, maybe not the best thing to answer. But what was he gonna do? Give me detention? I think both of us knew that it wouldn't change anything.
I saw Ryder trying to stifle his laugh as best as he could.
"Well then could you please tell us the answer to this formula?" he asked, pointing to the board.
He obviously thought that I wouldn't know the answer and wanted to embarrass me in front of the whole class.
Well boy you thought wrong.
"Silver and sulphur combined react to silver sulphate otherwise know as argentite. And the equation would be Ag and S react and make Ag2S."
"What?"
"The answer to the formula," I explained.
"Oh, right. Uh..."
"Is it correct?"
"Uh..yeah, yeah. It's correct."
I smiled at Mr. Olivares who shook his head in confusion as to how I could have know that.
"Let's do another one," he said to the class and wrote more formulas on the board.
I turned to Ryder and flipped my hair over my shoulder, referring to my great answer and how smart I was.
He chuckled lightly and rolled his eyes in return.
