《BadBoy Tutor》Chapter Seventeen

"Stop eating it all!" I cried out, reaching for the glass mixing bowl. I turned away for two damn seconds and Reece was already eating the chocolate cake mixture. He rolled his eyes, leaning against the counter with a stupid smirk plastered on his face. His toned muscles on his tanned arm bulged out as he crossed them against his chest.
Don't dribble.
I repeat, don't dribble Sam.
Reece shrugged. "It tastes good." He replied as I snatched it from his grip and placed it back on the table.
"You'll be tasting blood in a minute." I muttered as I started to add the mixture to the cupcake cases but a certain body behind me made my breath hitch in my throat. I could feel his head lean over my shoulder and if I moved back slightly my back would be against his chest.
"Mum wants you to come to Ellie's birthday party." He breathed into my neck before leaning over me and grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl.
Can he go 1 minute without eating? No judgements, me neither.
I grimaced as I heard the crunch of the apple as he leaned back against the counter, watching me. I felt hot under his stare. His dark eyebrows were scrunched up as his sharp jawline ate on the apple. And wow, it was sharp.
"When is it?" I asked, grabbing the oven gloves and thrusting the tray in the oven. I quickly shut the door, set the timer and spun on my heels to face him.
"Friday."
I raised a brow at him. "Friday? This Friday?" I questioned and he nodded slowly, his calculating eyes never leaving mine.
I huffed, crossing my arms. "And you couldn't have told me earlier?" I could feel the grin stretching on my face.
He rolled his eyes. "It's in 2 days Sammy, not 2 hours."
Deep breath Sam.
"It's not about that, I now have 2 days to get an outfit and a present and-" He silenced me by a bark of laughter. My jaw dropped as he flung the apple core directly in the bin without hardly even looking. May I add, the bin was across the damn kitchen.
"You don't have to get her a present. Plus, El really wants you there. She's been begging me to bring you back since that day you played with her."
My grin grew wider. "Well can you blame her?" I teased, earning a scoff from him.
He deadpanned. "A kid likes you Sammy, well done."
I rolled my eyes. "And your mum." I winked, walking over to him and ripping the beanie off his head. He scowled as I ruffled my hand through his messy hair, messing it up completely. He snatched my wrist lightly and quirked an eyebrow down at me.
"You don't want to go there."
I raised my brows. "Oh don't I?"
He smirked and before I knew it I felt my t-shirt being lifted and a handful of ice cubes were falling down my back. I let out an extremely high pitched squeal that I didn't even know I was capable of making. I turned around and he was just standing against the fridge with a very arrogant expression.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "You'll regret that." I told him and left the kitchen, jogging up to my bedroom. I could hear him scoff behind me and then his footsteps shortly after mine.
"Where are you going?" He called from behind me.
"Away from you!" I hollered over my shoulder.
Reece had only nipped over to help my dad fix the garage door. I woke up to see them both chatting like old school friends in the living room. I was pretty shocked seeing that I looked like I had just been dragged through a bush.
Repeatedly.
Dad then had to go to work so we ended up just hanging out for a couple hours and after listening to countless begs to bake something, that's how we ended up in the kitchen. Today was the first time I had seen Reece since Friday. We all went to mine and Jodie's favourite restaurant at the pier and the five of us actually had a really good time. Jake and Reece also get along with Jodie and Cole so they're sort of becoming a new addition to our friendship group. I'm not complaining, they're both very nice to look at.
One more in particular though.
I found it extremely strange how my dad would ask Reece to come over and help, or maybe it was kind of cute.
I don't know!
"Earth to dork!" Reece snapped his fingers in front of my face and I blinked a couple times. Wow, I really spaced out there a little.
"Sorry dickhead, what did you say?" I retorted, flashing him a quick grin before barging past him and entering my room. I didn't have to see him to know he was currently rolling his eyes.
Reece took a seat on the end of my bed, glancing around my room like he did the first time he was in here. He's been in a couple times since, and no not like that. Mainly when we're tutoring and my dad has people over so we have to do it in my room.
"I didn't say anything. You were just staring into space like an idiot." He grinned back and I shot him a death glare before turning to my closet.
I hummed, rummaging through my clothes. "What do you wear to a 6 year olds party?" I called out from inside as I scanned my various tops. I heard a chuckle and soon it became closer.
"Why do you care?" He asked from behind me.
"Because." I turned around, pushing his chest out of the closet and back into my room. My room was an average size but it came with built in wardrobes that was a decent size. I then smirked at him as I folded my arms across my chest. He was directly in front of me, staring down at me.
"Are your friends there?"
He rolled his eyes and a look of irritation flashed in his eyes. "What friends?"
I scoffed. "Don't play dumb Reecey. You know, the really hot ones." My smirk grew wider as he got more and more irritated. Wow, he was fun to wind up.
He then smirked. "I don't know who you're talking about. None of my friends are better looking than me."

And he's back.
I chuckled. "Yeah right, Cole's cat is better looking."
Reece raised an eyebrow teasingly. "Wow, that must be some real fucking sexy cat."
I shook my head but couldn't stop the smile that formed on my face regardless. I slumped on my bed and Reece did the same. We both sat cross legged on the end of my bed facing each other. "So..." I drawled. "What did you get Ellie?"
He shrugged. "You can ask her on Friday."
I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Come on help me." I whined. "I don't know what to buy. I'm so bad at gift shopping. I haven't even got one Christmas present and it's in one week."
He smirked. "Wow buttercup, you're not as organised as I thought."
I quirked a brow. "And you are?"
He grinned. "Yep. Bought all my presents before December 1st."
My jaw dropped. "Seriously?"
He leaned back on his elbows but because he was so fucking tall we could still see each other perfectly fine. He shrugged with a playful grin stretched on his face. "What can I say? I'm perfect at everything."
The top half on his body was dangling off my bed and an excited feeling floated throughout my body as an idea popped into my bed. With one move, I leaned closer to him and pushed his chest with one forceful push and he went falling to the ground with a crash. I crawled to the end of the bed he fell off and watched him with a grin as he glared up at me from the carpet.
"Ow!" He hissed, rubbing the top of his head but I could only smirk.
Told him he would regret the ice cubes.
"I'm done!" I exclaimed with a large grin on my face as I approached Reece. My arms were filled with bags and I was panting like I had just ran a marathon. To be fair, I did just race a woman in her 50's for the last limited edition Victoria secret set.
You can thank me later Jodie.
My feet felt like they were going to fall off as I stopped in front of Reece with a huff. He looked down at me with a face full of amusement and if I didn't feel like I was going to die any minute I would have glared at him. "Can we sit down?" I panted and he nodded with a chuckle. Luckily, we were right next to the food court so we quickly made our way over there and I practically collapsed into my chair. Reece took a seat opposite me with a smirk on his face.
"Tired?"
I narrowed my eyes at him and then gave him a smile. "Thanks for coming with me today. I've been putting it off for weeks."
Truth is, I kind of hated shopping. Sometimes it was bearable with Jodie as she just picked out everything for me and I didn't really have to do anything. I hated Christmas shopping as I never knew what the fuck to get and it stressed me out.
He gave me a genuine smile in return. "No problem. I had to come here and get some stuff for El's party anyway."
After I pushed Reece of my bed earlier today and scoffed my cupcakes like the two fat asses we were, I convinced Reece to come to the mall with me and help me get some Christmas presents. We were together for the most part until I had to go Forever 21 to get Belle and Jodie some stuff. According to him, women take way too long in that shop and he wasn't going through it again. Apparently his mum dragged him around there for 2 hours when he was younger. He was happy to go around Victoria secret with me though.
I can't get some of those comments out of my head.
"What'd you get?"
He sighed, lifting up the one bag that was his. What a gentleman, he was carrying most of my bags but because I had so many my hands were also full. I smiled softly to myself, he was pretty sweet when he wanted to be. "Just some banners and balloons." He then huffed, picking out the Disney princess plastic cups and plates. "I'm not using these."
I barked a laugh at the way he was looking down at them with disgust. "Aww, but you would look so cute!" I teased and he glared at me.
"Don't call me cute Sammy."
I pouted. "But you are!"
"Hey handsome!" A voice came from the left of us and we both snapped our heads around to meet it. She was a tall girl, with long brown hair and sparkling green eyes. Her hair was dead straight and it actually amazed me how someone could have hair like that. Mine was curly and took me about 2 hours to get it straight. The girl was wearing a light pink, tight crop top that was extremely revealing. She paired that with a denim skirt that showed off her long tanned legs and then black boots. I had to admit, she was gorgeous.
I turned to Reece to see he surprisingly looked bored. When he didn't answer, she snapped her eyes to me and then back to him. "Do you want to hang out? I heard there's this new mov-"
"No thanks." Reece replied shortly and my eyes widened. The girl looked stunned like she had never been turned down before. To be fair, she probably hadn't. Reece wasn't even acknowledging her, instead his eyes were focused on me.
"Uh, ok." She stammered and spun on her heels.
I furrowed my brows at him. "Not even a flirt?"
He huffed, rolling his eyes. "Not in the mood."
I smirked. "First Kelsey and now Barbie." I leaned over and pressed the palm of my hand against his forehead. "You feeling ok?"
He grabbed my hand gently and lowered it onto the table. "I'm fine." However, his voice was slightly off so I sighed. He obviously didn't want to talk about it any longer so I changed the subject.
"What time does the party start?" I asked, leaning back on my chair.
Reece's face went back to normal as he smiled. "Be there at 12."

A Sinner's Eden
The Earth of the future is united under a single government, but not all things are well. The shape of the playing field may be changed, but the powerful still rule the weak. And those who do not conform with the rest of society are exiled to another world. A world that not even the technology of the future managed to tame.It should have been humanity's New World but ended up as nothing more than a penal colony. A place where the exiled are sent to die. Motivated by revenge, Magnus sets out on a quest to bring his own justice to his enemies. For that purpose, he is willing to go further than most others. But then he learns that if he truly wishes to change things, he can only find his answers beyond the gate. Having lived most of her life as an exile, Astra is a woman of few interests aside from survival and climbing the ranks of her clan.To achieve those goals, she certainly won't be squeamish when a chance literally falls into her lap, or will she? ——————————————————————————————— I am trying to go with a survival/medieval setting in this one. People from a technologically advanced society are thrown into a world where they can't maintain their tech. They are forced to rely on medieval technology where they have to make do with the limited resources they have and what little of their old technology is still working. Their gene manipulation allows them to have something akin to superpowers, but that doesn't help much against the monsters of their new world. Not sure yet whether sufficiently advanced technology will be discovered later on to count as magic. ——————————————————————————————— Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently, I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)

Path of Divinity
The world has been assimilated by the Celestial Archives, a vast system designed to fight the forces that seek to destroy the universe. For most, it's a holy cause that rewards victory with stats, levels, and skills. For Hunter Gold, it's the start of a nightmare. Even in a system dominated by paths, he finds himself taking the road less traveled. This is a work in progress. Major editing will be done after the book is complete, so there will be egregious typos and parts that make no sense whatsoever. Please feel free to point any and all of these things out. Chapters WILL get edited, and that editing might break earlier chapters. I will attempt to keep readers apprised of all changes. As always, feedback is welcome and appreciated. This is kind of something fun I wanted to write after reading stories like The New World, System Apocalypse, and the Legend of Randidly Ghosthound. I don't know how serious I will be about this story, but I just want to try it out. I imagine that it will become a love child between Fable, Diablo, and Devil May Cry. Enjoy!
