Hello people of Wattpad.

Yes, I know, Sorry for the sloooooow turtle-like update.:

I'm sick just so you know, stayed in bed the whole day and I was like, okay, I'll update "My Boyfriend's Best Friend" right now and whatever comes in my mind that'll be it.

But--

Of course, this chapter is specially crafted by yours truly, for your eyes only.

Enjoy.~

**

"Wake up!"

I groaned, rolling myself towards the other side of the bed.

"For the love of-- Alexis!!!"

I pounced up my bed, glaring at Eve, clawing my hands towards her.

She rolled my eyes at me, crossing her arms across my chest.

"Are you going to sleep all day waiting for prince charming to freaking wake you up? This ain't sleeping beauty for Pete's sake,"

"Could you give me five minutes.." I said, tucking myself back to the sheets of my bed.

"Are you freaking crazy or not? There are two beautiful boys waiting on you in your front door!" She gasped, whisper yelling at me.

Oh dear,

I widened my eyes as I slapped myself mentally.

I completely forgot about the three of us living together!

My head snapped back to Eve with pleading puppy dog eyes.

"You.Have.Got.To.Help.Me."

Eve chuckled, sitting on my bed, checking her nails glancing back at me.

"About the three of you living together? Honey, I couldn't ask for anything better." She said, laughing at me.

"What are you trying to say, my beloved best friend?" I scoffed.

Note the sarcasm.

"This is the perfect time for you to realize your feelings! To realize who you really love!" Eve said, clapping her hands.

I frowned at this, turning to look at her.

"What do you mean..?"

"Don't act dumb, Alexis. I know you like Darren. You just have this feeling of pity towards Carson!" Eve said, waving her hands in the air frantically.

"Look Eve, whatever it is you're trying to say, I am 100% inlove with my boyfriend Carson!" I said, gritting my teeth at her.

She held up both of her hands in a sort of like surrender position and cocked an eyebrow at me.

"Whatever you say."

"Geez, I don't know what is with you and you thinking I like Darren." I said carefully peeling off my clothes to get ready for shower.

We're both girls anyway, she's my best friend so she practically see me naked almost everyday.

I'm used to it.

"Alexis, I'm your best friend and if there's someone who knows you better then that would be me." Eve sighed, picking up my curling iron and curling her blonde locks with it.

"Yes, I know, but I do know my own feelings, Eve." I shouted from the shower room.

I hear Eve sigh deeply, not replying anymore as the cold water hit my skin.

It's impossible to like Darren.

It just won't work.

After I had showered, I slipped on a comfortable loose white tee, a pair of ripped jeans and my black Converse sneakers.

I got out of the shower room only to see Eve checking my cellphone with a huge grin plastered on her face.

My jaw dropped as I tackled her on the bed, she was laughing and I was screaming at her.

"Give me my phone back!" I growled.

She just kept laughing but finally gave up.

The screen opened to the message Darren sent me last night.

I frowned at this, remembering his text message.

"God, boys are so dramatic." Eve continued to laugh, clutching her stomach.

"Very funny." I replied, rolling my eyes at her and shoving my phone inside my pocket.

"You guys remind me of a scene in an overly dramatic romance movie." Eve chortled.

I flushed bright pink,

For all I know God knows why, and glared at her.

"Shut up, Eve."

She stopped laughing when I hear a knock in my front door.

"Who is it?" I asked worriedly.

The door opened as I saw a beaming Carson flashing me a big smile carrying me a breakfast tray.

"Breakfast in bed, my lady." Carson winked, walking towards me.

I smiled in awe, but I caught Eve glancing at Carson with no emotions.

Huh, I wonder why.

"Oh my gosh, you're the sweetest boyfriend ever!" I squealed, putting my arms around his neck, pecking on his lips lightly.

"And you're the sweetest girlfriend ever." Carson replied back, kissing me on the lips.

"Aw, I didn't even do anything for you." I pouted, as I forked the sunny side up eggs, shoving it inside my mouth.

"You don't need to. Just staying by my side forever is everything I want." Carson half-smiled.

His words stung me,

I smiled back at him not knowing what to answer.

Somehow, what he said made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

I shoved that feeling away, and continued eating.

I stared back at Carson, his blue eyes seem to be staring in blank space.

As if he is thinking deeply about something.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked,

He snapped back to reality looking at me, scratching the back of his head.

He smiled faintly, kissing me lightly on the cheek.

"Nothing. Go finish your breakfast. We're going somewhere."

"You're taking me somewhere?" I squealed in delight.

He nodded his head and left the room.

I was left with Eve, eyeing on Carson as he left.

"What's the matter?" I asked her.

She turned to me sternly, slinging her bag on her shoulder.

"You don't love him, Alexis." Eve said dryly.

I placed my hands on my hips glaring back at her.

"Are we going to start on this all over again?" I scowled.

"You wouldn't listen. But I am telling you now, I am warning you already. You like Darren. You don't love Carson. One day, you will understand what I am babbling about. I'm off to see Danny now." Eve said,

"Hey--"

I was interrupted by the slamming of the door to my room shut.

Somehow, Eve is acting really strangely these days.

But--

I was threatened with her words.

I grew scared.

Carson's POV

I went out of her room sighing deeply.

I walked up to my room, Darren and I were sharing a room now.

Alexis insisted on this one.

I told her that we would share a room while Darren gets my room but she refused to share a room with me since I'm a guy.

She never played that excuse on me before, sending me suspicions on her strange actions.

Here's a flashback of last night:

Last night, she suddenly ran towards her room, without saying a word as I called out her name.

After a few seconds, Darren entered the living room.

I glanced back at him, as usual, he is expressionless.

I asked him what's going on with Alexis and he simply shrugged his shoulders as he went back upstairs towards our room.

I went upstairs, following Darren from behind, seeing him laying on my bed, tossing the basketball back and forth on the ceiling.

I joined him in, closing the door behind me, taking the sleeping mattress from under my bed and laying myself on it.

"What's up, D?" I chirped.

He turned to face me, his face held no emotions and then turned to face the ceiling again, tossing the basketball back and forth.

I sighed, smiling at him, he turned to me giving me a smirk as well.

"You know.. I really missed Alexis." I said, he stopped tossing the ball as he caught it with his hands and laid it on his chest.

"It looks like you do." He said nonchalantly.

I smiled at him, saying,

"I trust you, Darren. I know you wouldn't lay a finger on her. You know how much she means to me. She is the first girl I ever loved. I don't even know what I will do incase she left me.. for another guy.."

There was a silence I couldn't read.

I knew Darren was silent the moment we became friends but this kind of silence scares me.

What bothers me everytime I'm with Darren is the fact that you will never know what he is thinking.

He is basically hard to read.

He's been a deep person eversince I met him.

"She won't leave you." He said so suddenly, making me smile.

"You think so?" I said, turning to him.

He glanced back at me with a grin plastered on his face.

"Yeah."

End of flashback.

But how come I feel uneasy?

Somehow, Alexis changed...

Or maybe it's just me.

Darren exited our room, yawning, his bare chest showing.

He scratched his messy hair and I smiled at him.

"Good morning D."

He turned to me with those chocolate brown eyes and gave me a weak smile.

He went downstairs and I caught up with him.

"Oh yeah, D, I forgot to tell you that for the rest of the day, Alexis and I will be out. Just order anything you want, and get anything you need in the fridge if you get hungry--"

I was interrupted as Darren's eyes stared at me, piercing my soul.

It's like he's hurt, in a way, I couldn't explain.

And then his eyes became emotionless again, turning away from me.

"I'm going out too." He says.

"Yeah? You're going on a date?" I asked, jerking his arm playfully.

He smirked and shrugged his shoulders.

"Possibly."

He continued to walk to the kitchen, fixing himself a bowl of cereal.

I went to my room to change and wash up.

Ready for my date with Alexis.

All morning I made breakfast, forgetting I already stink.

Alexis' POV

I brushed my hair, it grew longer, I side swept my bangs and took my purse with me as I sprinted downstairs to the kitchen to get myself something to eat.

I stopped on my tracks in the kitchen, my cheeks turning pink as I saw Darren, bare chested, his hair messy, eating a bowl of cereal sexily.

He looked my way, making me turn away, stomping my feet to the kitchen, not even glancing one look at him and fixing myself a cup of coffee.

I took three packs of cream and sugar, I don't like bitter coffee, and stirred my coffee vigorously, eyeing on him once in a while.

I was standing, leaning myself at the countertop, I was facing directly the back of his hair and his naked back.

I was throwing invisible punches at him, gritting my teeth and rolling my eyes when he suddenly spoke, making me spit my drink.

"You should punch me headfirst. I don't like people punching my back." He said, smirking.

H-How does he know?

"I read minds so I know." He chuckled, not even facing me.

It's a good thing he isn't, I swear to God, I was beet red already.

I stayed silent, he is a bipolar bitch.

He tells me to forget all about him and everything, the next thing I know, he is laughing at me all over again.

I scowled at him mentally,

He stood up from his seat, putting the cereal bowl on the sink and left the kitchen without a word.

What a pain in the ass!

I continued to sip my coffee, cursing under my breath how I hated that stupid ass bipolar jerk when Carson walked down the stairs.

I glanced back at him, blushing vigorously.

He is hot, wearing a white button down shirt, rolled up to its elbows, a casual black skinny jeans and black Converse sneakers.

He fixed his hair up with gel, and damn, he looks like a fine piece of specimen!

I examined him from head to toe, he chuckled lifting my chin so I would be able to close my mouth.

"I-I'm sorry." I stuttered, blushing vigorously.

Is this the effects of not seeing him for a while and then seeing him like this?

I admit though, my boyfriend is hot.

Hotter than Leonardo DiCaprio.

When I say that, it means he is really really hot!

Leonardo is like a male version of Aphrodite.

"It's fine." Carson said, grabbing me by the waist and pulling me to his side, nibbling on my ear.

I covered my mouth to prevent a moan to escape from my lips as I pushed him hard on the chest.

"It's.. too early for that! Don't do that! Okay?" I said, walking faster.

These two boys are so not good for my health.

Blood is definitely rushing to my cheeks more than once today, and it's only ten in the freaking morning!

"Wait up!" I hear Carson yell behind me, he took me by the waist, lifting me bridal style.

"PUT ME DOWN, CARSON!" I screeched.

He just smirked devilishly, I swear this is the first time I saw him smirk like that, as he carried me inside the car.

I gracefully landed myself in the passenger's seat, glaring at Carson as he smiled at me, going to the driver's seat, plopping himself in.

"You are a crazy loon. You almost gave me a heart attack!" I whined.

He started the engines and drove off.

The grin on his face never retreated, as if he is planning on something despicable.

I watched as we left the neighborhood.

I frowned at this sight, as we left the town.

"Carson, where are we going?" I said, frowning at him.

"Somewhere far far away." He chuckled.

"I'm dead serious, Carson! Tell me where we're going!" I said, enraged.

It's not that I'm angry at him for taking me somewhere far.

But I just never went to a place which is in a different town or state, or somewhere far like that.

It just sends me the chills.

I would rather have a date to somewhere near like a pizza parlor or a movie theater.

I love picnics and the outdoors but if it's somewhere really far away then I'm not so sure...

"It's just an eight hour drive, Alexis." Carson replied.

"Eight hours?!? Where the hell are we going?! You know I'm freaking scared to go beyond the city!!" I cried out, tears forming in my eyes.

"Alexis. I'm here, there's no need to be scared--"

I cut him off by sobbing.

"Just tell me where it is before I freak out." I sobbed.

Carson sighed and smiled faintly,

"We're going to Kauai."
