"Is it really that bad?" Jack asked me for the millionth time today. We were making our way to his car so he could drive me home. Since the rest of the members, except Sophia and Ally, didn't know where I lived they were following us.

"I've told you the answer to that a million times Jack. Please just wait until we get to my house. We're almost in the car," I shook my head at his persistence.

"I was wondering if it was going to change," he winced. We both got into his car after he unlocked it.

"Yeah, it isn't going to magically change Jack," I sighed. He started the car and pulled back out of the parking space. He glanced back at the rest of our friends cars pulling out of their own parking spots.

"I was just wishing," he gave a defeated sigh. He started to drive glancing back to see if they were following him. My gaze fell to looking out of the window.

"I know it's hard for you to hear that the person you like did something bad. It's hard for me too," I mumbled my words, hoping he wouldn't hear them.

The rest of the car ride was silent. I wasn't sure if he heard me or not. He could also just be ignoring what I said. I hoped he was doing one of those. I didn't really know what to do so I leaned my head against the window.

We got to my house sooner than later, to my relief. I ran out of the car to be greeted by my Mother on the porch. I gave her a smile, turning around slightly to watch as my friends all came out of their cars. Luckily all of them were able to come. I still got their numbers though.

"Hey Y/n. I hope you know that you have to introduce your friends to me," my Mom smiled over at me.

"Okay well as you know this is Jack," I loosly hugged his waist.

"Sophia," I went over to the ginger and happily squished our cheeks together.

"Ally," I gave her a side hug.

"Finn," I ruffled his hair.

"Jaeden," I thumped his head.

"Chosen," I fist bumped him.

"Jeremy," I nudged his side.

"And Wyatt," I flicked a noodle curl.

"Nice to meet you all," my Mother looked a little overwhelmed by us. "I'll make dinner. Any preferences?"

After my Mom finished talking to all of them we all ran up to my room. I sat down on my bed and they crowded around my back to look over my shoulder. Jack leaned his chin on the top of my head. I opened my videos up and my breath hitched at the picture at the surface of the video. It showed the two girls that were pulling my hair. A wave of anger ran through me. I pushed it down and started the video. I turned the volume up all the way so everyone could hear.

The video started with me walking down the hall. The camera blurs a little as Ellie pulls me into the bathroom. As I'm getting dragged to the middle of the bathroom the camera shows her groupies and that one male block the door. You hear Ellie talking and then in the mirror you can see me get pushed into the counter. As we talk you notice her get visibly more mad. She then talks about the Ally thing. Everyone was too busy paying attention to the video to gasp. In the mirror you see me push her into a bathroom stall door. She winces and digs her fingernails into my arms though it isn't too visible. My squeak sounds and then me kneeing her in the crotch happens. The camera blurs for a split second as I run towards the door. As my hair gets pulled you can hear my sounds of displeasure. You see Ellie holding her crotch as she watches my hair get pulled. She starts to smirk and the camera falls with my body. The two girls come into view and you can see my hair and the foot of the girl holding me down. It shows the look of pain as I bite the girl's leg. My hair is let go of and I turn to scratch the other girl's face, putting the camera on Ellie. Her eyes were wide with surprise. The camera shows me dodge the hands of the two other groupies. You see the legs and lower region of the guy as I dived through his legs. The camera bobs up and down as I run down the hall, my sobs hearable. For a split second you see Jack from the cornor of the camera. He was running down the hall I had just exited. I get to my locker heaving heavy sobs, the camera turned to the floor as I slid down my locker. Not long after my sobs became calmer as I moved into a hug with Finn. You could hear me freak out to Finn and I grabbed the phone out of my back pocket. The camera turned to my tearstained face as I turned it off.

I felt my cheeks heat up in embarrassment. They all saw me crying. They all saw me at my weakest, breaking down in the hallway. I looked at the ground as I closed my phone screen and placed it beside me.

"Woah," Jaeden let out a breath. "That was gruesome."

"I would say she's evil but I'd rather not. How about she's mean?" Jeremy gave a small awkward smile.

"That works," I replied, returning his smile.

"I wish you would let me do something about this Y/n/n," Ally sighed whilst looking at me with sad eyes.

"I can't let you do that. Besides I have this thing handled," I put a hand on her shoulder.

"Does biting a girl's leg count as 'having this thing handled'?" Chosen raised an eyebrow.

"I didn't even see myself do that in the video how did you?" I looked over at him with surprise in my eyes.

"I saw the bite mark on the girl's leg while you got away from them," he shook his head.

"Did you scratch the other girl? Her face had red lines," Finn asked.

"Maybe..." I ran a hand through my hair.

"Dude, that's so cool. You beat Ellie and her groupies," Finn yelled excitedly.

"My senses kicked in. I didn't want all my hair to be pulled out of my scalp after all," I replied.

"Still cool," Wyatt spoke up.

"Well thanks I guess," I looked past them at Jack. He was leaning back against my pillow staring right at me. I looked down in guilt. I probably didn't need to share that with the others. Now they might not want to be friends with him if he gets back together with Ellie.

"Should've let me beat her up in the gym while I could've," Sophia shook her head.

"Yeah," I replied. My eyes were still focused on the quiet brunette leaning against my pillows.

"Can I talk to Y/n in private for a bit?" Jack spoke out.

"Oh yeah. We'll go talk to Mrs. L/n," Jeremy pulled the others along with him.

Once they were out I turned back towards Jack. I lifted my legs onto the bed so I could face him fully. He stared into my eyes as we sat in silence. If I didn't know better I would say his eyes held regret. He slowly reached his hand out towards me. His hand fell down and his eyes casted onto the ground. In one swift movement he tackled me into a hug against my bed. I hugged him back.

"I'm so sorry. Ever since I made you my fake girlfriend Ellie has been bullying you. I don't want you to have to deal with this anymore. You shouldn't be put through so much torture just so I get a reward at the end. Truth be told I don't think she's a reward anymore," my eyes widened as I felt something wet land on my head.

"Oh Jack," I pushed him away from me but made sure to keep him close. I wiped the tears from his face with both of my thumbs. "Don't cry over me. I'm not worth your tears and Ellie isn't either. She's so bad and you're so good. I know you don't believe it but you are. Please, just don't cry."

"Y/n if anything you're always worth the tears that fall from my eyes. I'm so bad. I treat you, and every other girl I've been close to, so badly. No one deserves what I do to them," he shook his head between my hands that were holding his cheeks. More tears escaped his eyes, making my heart hurt with every one.

"You're going to make me cry," tears started to form in my own eyes. "Seeing you sad hurts me. Please cheer up."

"Okay I'll try just please don't let your tears out," he slightly begged. His brown eyes looked deeply into mine, showing me his tears had stopped. I willed my tears to stay in my eyes.

"Okay lovebirds dinner is ready," Ally's voice faltered as my eyes met her's. She rushed over to our sides and pulled me beside her. "What did you do to her? Something so precious shouldn't be broken."

My eyes widened. I pushed back from Ally. "Jack did nothing wrong. We just shared some feelings that's all."

"Did you...ya know?" she looked at me with wide eyes but a smirk was painted across her lips.

"No I didn't and I never will. Just go back downstairs we'll be out in a second," I pushed her out of the door. I sighed and closed the door. I turned back to Jack who was raising an eyebrow. "What?"

"What will you never tell me?" I rolled my eyes and opened the door back up. "No wait we aren't done here."

He grabbed my arm before I could turn around. I looked at him over my shoulder. "The point of it is that I'll never tell you."

He sighed, "fine."

I grabbed his hand and started down the stairs. We reached the kitchen in no time but with all eyes on us. My Mom turned to us and smiled before turning back around. I raised an eyebrow at her actions. They seemed pointless.

"You two finally made it," my Mom stopped putting food on a plate and turned to us again. Her gaze fell to our intertwined hands. My eyes widened anx I let go of Jack's hand. "What was that hand holding about there?"

"Just best friends. Holding hands," I replied. Jack nodded from behind me and started towards the table. I offered a nervous smile towards my Mom, starting towards the table also.

My Mom seemed to just continue what she was doing. As she made all our plates I met the others confused gazes. I held a finger to my lips with a wink. My Mom came over to the table and sat plates in front of the first two lucky ones. We all started talking as my Mother continued to pass out plates.

Once she finished handing us all our plates and drinks she sat down with her own. She has a knowing smirk on her face which kind of scared me. The whole reason I didn't want her knowing about Jack and I was because I didn't want to harm her friendship with his Mom. She stared at me before subtly pointing her gaze at Jack. I shook my head at her and continued eating.

She continued to poke and tried Jack too. I saw him hesitate out of the cornor of my eye before he lightly shook his head. I breathed a sigh of relief, almost silently. She decided that that was the time for her to stop bugging us and just continued talking with my friends. I silently prayed they would keep their mouths shut as I tried making conversation.
