《Son of Artemis Book 4》Chapter 29

I arrived back at camp thanks to Hermès, and headed to my seat at the dining pavilion at mom's table, where I was immediately bombarded by Thalia and Annabeth, "where were you for so long" they whisper shouted
"I was on Olympus debriefing the council on what I saw on the mountain" I said
"Oh and Annabeth our mothers may be trying to kill each other soon"
"Hera dammit mother" Annabeth said under her breath
Dinner went by smoothly but after dinner was the part of the day all of us were dreading. The funeral rites for the fallen. Each of them had a nice shroud made by their fellow cabin mates, I believe, well maybe not in the case of Dionysius's son. His might be from his father.
Some of the siblings went up and spoke a eulogy, except Apollo's kids. They all did that for their brother, and made it rhyme somehow. I swear uncle.
Pollux tried to deliver a eulogy for his brother but ended up just crying and lighting the shroud, saying goodbye.
While the funerals were going on Nico and Bianca looked a bit happy, which would be unusual if they weren't Hades's kids. "Why are you two happy. This is a time to mourn" one of the campers who lost their sibling shouted
"While death is sad, the proper handling of the dead should be commended by the children of the lord of the dead" they stated.
"For our fallen friends and family have traveled to Elysium today, to await us for when we will eventually visit them" Nico added
"Is he there" Pollux asked, "is he really in Elysium"
"From what I can sense yes, they are all there" Nico said, and Pollux gave him a hug
"Thank you for telling me" I heard the son of Dionysius whisper to Nico.

Nico for all he is, looked uncomfortable and scared, before patting Pollux on the back doing his best to comfort the son of Dionysius.
The rest of the funeral was uneventful after that, unless you want to count Will Solace sitting down next to Nico and discussing Mythomagic together. I have a feeling Bianca had something to do with that as she was smirking at the two.
"Perseus. Can I have a word alone" Dionysius asked
I looked at Annabeth and Thalia who nodded telling me to go with him, "sure thing Mr. D" I said getting up and following the god out.
Once we got to the porch of the big house he started speaking again. "I trust you know the troubles of immortality"
"My sisters and mother have spoken of them thoroughly" I replied, "as well as milady"
"You know your destiny"
"I am aware" I said, "Apollo doesn't hold the tightest lips"
Dionysius sighed, "then why fall in love with them. It will only end up hurting you"
"While that may be true" I stated, "I am only aware of my own destiny. Who is to say that their destiny doesn't have a similar end as mine" I answered, "plus wasn't your wife once mortal"
Dionysius looked at me with the surprise I had the audacity to say that to him, "Very well" He replied
"This isn't about my love life though uncle"
Dionysius grumbled a bit, "you hunters pick up on a lot"
"It's about your sons" I asked
"Yes" Dionysius replied
"Can...can you protect Pollux" he asked
I let out a sigh, "uncle you ask a lot" I said, "you ask something I cannot guarantee"
"Can you at least give me your word you'll try" he asked me
"I'll give you my word that I'll try uncle" I replied to him

Dionysius seemed to be thinking, "thank you Perseus" he stated, then looked down towards the basement entrance.
"You should heal him" I stated
"Why"
"Violence begets violence. Forgiveness begets forgiveness" I replied
"Less philosophical"
"Violence only sows the seeds of violence. A violent action receives a violent reaction. While forgiving one, while it may take a while, may be returned with forgiveness. If we forgive him, there's the chance he'll forgive us. But if we don't. If we treat him as our foes treat us, you only push him closer to our enemies"
Dionysius pondered it, "you think it will improve Clarisse's mood"
"It's possible. I know she's been down their a few times to try to speak to him"
Dionysius sighed, "you're dismissed" he said, "I have a lot to think about"
I nodded and left him at the big house.
Only a few days passed and Dionysius decided to heal Chris, which Clarisse was happy about.
Fireworks came and went with Thalia, Annabeth, and I going together, which I received teasing letters from Zoë for.
And now it was becoming time to leave camp. It was a normal day, a lot of campers were leaving or preparing to leave, but a young camper asked for all the cabin councilors to the big house.
I arrived with everyone else taking a seat between Annabeth and Thalia. "Why have you called us here" The stolls asked
"A miracle has happened" Chiron responded
I wonder, as I have no clue
"Well are you going to tell us" Clarisse asked
Just then Rachel stepped down the stairs, but something was off, and I couldn't quite tell it
"We have a new oracle" Chiron stated
