《The Son Of Artemis book 3》Chapter 16

We landed in a park near a body of water. But due to the hour of the night it was abandoned.
However when we unloaded Zoë to try and heal her, she looked a lot worse for wear.
"Zoe no you can't die" I said, feeling emotionally distressed. The sister I was closest to and the one I found most annoying was dying.
"It's alright little bro, do not despair for me" she said
"But...but the prophecy said" I stuttered, realizing what I had to do
Mom looked saddened for a moment probably looking into either mine or Zoë's memories for the prophecy.
"It's alright my son. You would of had to tell them eventually. You have my permission" mom said,
"And mine as well, just don't kill me" Zoë said weakly
I then began using my powers over water, searching throughout Zoë's body and surrounding the poison with water molecules before pulling it out.
I couldn't tell if Thalia and Annabeth were either amazed, disgusted, or frightened. Honestly I would prefer none of those. I hated my powers over water but I still trained with them in secrecy on Zoë's and mom's instruction.
I ended up pulling out all the poison, but it also cost Zoë about 2 pints of blood and I could tell she was extremely weak from the results, but mom bandaged her up and I used my powers over fire to stop the bleeding cauterizing the wound.
"I'll take Zoë to Olympus so she can recover. You did well my son" mom said, "I'll also send transport for you three" she finished as she had gotten Zoë back up into her chariot and started leaving.
"WHAT THE HADES WAS THAT" Thalia yelled, probably loud enough that Olympus could gear even if they weren't using Iris message to watch.
"That...that was a darker side of powers I inherited from the male pig that sired me. Though I've sworn not to use them unless absolutely necessary against an enemy or with permission from the recipient" I answered
"Who's your father" Annabeth asked though she looked scared, despite me telling her the conditions I set forth for myself using those powers.

"He's not my father. Apollo will be more a father to me than that male pig ever can and will be. And in all honesty I think only your mother hates him more than me, though I believe she calls him scum instead of a male pig" I answered
Thalia and Annabeth looked equally pissed at me, "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME...US" they shouted in unison
"Because I hate him, just as much if not more than Athena herself. He's the reason my mortal parent is dead. He sent a cyclops after me when I was just a baby to kill me. I don't recognize him as anything other than another bastard male Olympian, like Ares is." I responded back, "and I was afraid" I added on in a barely audible mumble
Annabeth and Thalia however, both seemingly figured out that they yelled at me and I was getting frustrated, about them questioning me about the only god I hate nearly as much as I hate Heracles, but for the sake of peace in the family can't act out upon those feelings.
"Look I'm not mad at either of you. I understand why you are questioning me about it. Heck I would too in your position. But Poseidon means nothing to me. I disowned him. But the sea hasn't disowned me, and no I don't know why. But I still have my powers connected to it" I answered
"He tried killing you before you were a week old" Annabeth and Thalia asked, though this time not yelling at me as if they are mad.
"Yes" I answered, "but his goon failed and killed my mother instead"
"Then why did Artemis adopt you" Thalia asked
"It was my mother's last wish. That Artemis raise me to be better than the males she detest, to be the opposite of what she thinks males to be" I said, "ever since then I've been the son of Artemis and my mortal mother Sally"
Thalia and Annabeth seemed to be processing all the information I told them as out side of the hunt, milady Hestia, Apollo, and Zeus, they were the first to know from personal conversation.

"Why were you afraid to tell us" Annabeth asked
"How you two would react and how Athena would react. I valued your friendship to me too much to risk your mother tell me to stay away because of the male pig who sired me"
Thankfully that seemed to satisfy their curiosity. And just in time as our ride was arriving.
Hey boss Blackjack the Pegasus said in my head, I also brought Porkpie
Hi I'm presuming porkpie say
Anyways we heard you needed a ride somewhere blackjack said
"Yeah the three of us need to head to Olympus quickly. Can you two handle that" I asked
Blackjack and porkpie looked at each other I'll take you and blonde girl wrapped in the pelt blackjack answered
"Thanks" I said, "they've agreed to take us to Olympus but on the condition Annabeth and I ride blackjack" I told Thalia and Annabeth
Thalia looked reluctant to ride alone. "Don't worry Thalia. Porkpie won't drop you" I said and helped her up onto Porkpie. Though she was reluctant.
I swear with her fear of heights she could be a child of Hades or Poseidon.
I then picked up Annabeth and had her sitting up right on blackjack before I hopped on, with her sat behind me holding me close. I looked down and saw just how boney her arms have became.
"Alright blackjack to Olympus and fast please" I asked and with that Blackjack and Porkpie took off and we were traveling faster than the statues flew. And if my guesses were correct we would probably reach Olympus in 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours
"Are you doing ok" I asked Annabeth as I could tell she was weak from the lack of food and water.
"I'll be fine Percy" Annabeth said, "but thanks for rescuing me"
"No problem. It's what friends do"
"You didn't believe I was dead"
"No I did not. Not at a single point" I answered
"He's alive you know" Annabeth mumbled from behind me
"Luke" I questioned
"Yes"
"I have to agree. He wouldn't have rolled off to his death. He has to much self preservation for that" I said, but I could sense Annabeth was slightly shocked by my response.
"What expected me to argue that he was dead" I asked
"A little"
"Annabeth I'm not that male's son. In all honesty I would gladly trade his life for a negotiated return to the way things have been for the past few thousand years, with the gods comfortably in control. I'm the child of Artemis" I said
"But why do you seem so nervous"
"Because of the prophecy. Both my mom and uncle Apollo are unsure if I'm still...applicable to the prophecy" I answered, "I'm not to sure how the others will react"
"But Zeus blessed you"
"He's the only other god on the council that knows"
"And he still blessed you"
"Yes, but it's because I don't see Poseidon as any familial relation to myself, and thinks it will be funny to see Poseidon's reaction. Past that I can't answer for his reasonings" I said so Annabeth wouldn't have to ponder Zeus's reasonings too much.
I looked over to see Thalia slumped over and asleep, "hey Annabeth. Thalia is asleep wanna draw on her face when we land if she's still asleep" I asked
"That's your death wish not mine" Annabeth said
I chuckled lightly, "alright" I said. By now though towns were just going by as if they were a blinking light.
It wasn't too much longer until blackjack and Porkpie started slowing down. Hey boss how was that for fast Blackjack asked, was it worth extra hay for breakfast
"That was good Blackjack. And yes I suppose it's worth some extra hay. Though I'm surprised you didn't ask for donuts"
We could have had donuts instead. Dammit blackjack why didn't you ask for that first Porkpie said
I didn't think he would give them to us
"Yeah yeah" I said, "stop arguing about it you've already decided"
"There it is" Thalia announced, "Mount Olympus"
Blackjack and Porkpie landed right outside the entrance to the hall of the gods dropping us off before quickly flying away. I understand not wanting to meet all the gods. It can be chaotic.
We were about to go in but the doors opened by themselves
