Jack and Lisa entered Amy's room and sat either side of the bed holding her hands, Jack burst into tears which Lisa had never seen him do before, she had watery eyes too but Jack was so upset.

Eventually he pulled himself together and explained that he knew what Tim was capable of, but not this.

He told Lisa that when Tim got on the Pills and Alcohol he was mean and violent which is why he kicked him out and off Heartland to protect Marion, Lou and Amy. It Looks like he's back on it. After a while Lisa said she was going to take the kids home as they'd been on there own for a while in the waiting room. Jack agreed and kissed her goodbye.

Lou was due to land soon and just hoped that her Grandpa would forgive her. How could her father do this to Amy of all people.

By the time Lou got to the Hospital Amy had been moved from Critical care to Intensive care as she was now Stable and doing well.

Lou walked in to Amy's room and as soon as she saw her she burst into tears, went over to Jack and wrapped her arms around him, Jack could never be angry with his Granddaughters for long so hugged her back, he knew Tim had manipulated Lou, that's what he does.

Lou was sitting where Lisa was sat and Jack was bringing her up to date on Amy's condition.

"She's going to need a lot of support Lou ".

"I know she will Grandpa"

"Well I'm going to go home Lou, there coming to do a brain activity scan soon, just to make sure everythingis alright".

"Okay Grandpa see you later ".

They hugged and Jack went home.

Lou took a photo of Amy and sent it to Nicole with a text *Fingers Crossed *..

Lou left the hospital at 8pm getting a Taxi to take her home.

In the morning Mitch walked in to ask Jack how Amy was but he had already left to check on the herd and didn't know Lou was back.

"Oh, morning Lou. When did you get back".

"Yesterday, Grandpa phoned me about what Dad had done, he was so drunk I don't think he knew what he was doing".

"Who's got Lyndy".

"She's here asleep in Amy's old room".

"Well I'll keep my fingers crossed for her, I'll go join Jack, see you later".

"Okay, bye".

"Hi Mitch, late last night, spent a few hours with Amy. Thank you Mitch for saving her".

"To be honest Lou my blood ran cold when I saw her on the floor covered in blood and Tim stood over her, I grabbed a piece of wood from by the back Barn door and when I saw him lift his arm up to hit her again I Just lost it and knocked him out".

"He was going to hit her again ".

"Yep, If he had I think he'd of killed her".

"I'm still having a hard time trying to believe that he would or could have done that to her, I mean he's our father".

"Knowing Amy, when she saw him she must of hit the roof, what concerns me Lou is that he already had the Rebar in his hand so intent was already there".

"OMG, you're right Mitch, he obviously already knew what he was going to do".

"That's what the police think too".

Mitch was amazed at how easy they were communicating. .

"Amy's going to need a lot of support Mitch, I thought she finally had what she wanted until Ty walked out on her and the baby then disappeared. I knew that it would hit her hard when he abandoned her but I didn't think she would try suicide, that really shook us all up how vulnerable she was".
