Now were are so close to turning 16, and I can't stand it anymore.

I can't keep these emotions for Mikey inside anymore. I have to tell him or avoid him. Either way, I can't keep living this way. Its painful.

"Hey Mikey?" I ask sadly.

"What's up Don?" He says.

"Your eyes are like limpid pools of primordial ooze, and I am the protozoa that wish to swim in their depths," I say.

"Uh Donnie? I just want some pizza breh," he replies.

"No you don't understand," I plea and begin to weep. "There's something you have to know."

My hands are removed from my face and I stare back at my younger brother who smiles at me.

"There's something you need to know too. I wrote you a poem. Do me a favor and tell me if its good okay?"

I nod.

He clears his throat and puts on a deep voice.

"I like pizza. You like pizza. I suck at poems. Kiss me."

And I lose my breath.

"How was that?" He asks shyly.

"Best poem I've ever heard in my entire life," I reply.

"So what do you say nerdy brother? Are you gonna kiss me or not?"
