"Hey," I sighed, running my hands through my hair as Billie's face popped up on the screen. I felt more comfortable around her now we've facetimed once before. I expected to still feel awkward at times though.
"Yo," she rubbed her fingers over her eyes as she stretched, her top riding up her stomach slightly. She smirked and ran her hands across her abdomen before pulling her shirt down. "You good? You look stressed as fuck."
I let out a small laugh as I flipped through the book in front of me, biting on my lip. Billie went silent.
"I'm good, just looking through this dumb homework I gotta do," I whispered the last part as I slowly closed the book and pushed it away, my eyes meeting Billie's face.

She stayed silent for a while, us just staring at each other as she played with the rings on her fingers.
"So, you coming next week?" She asked. I made a face of confusing. Coming next week?
"Huh?" I asked, readjusting my phone so I could see her better. She cocked her right eyebrow up as she ran her tongue across her top lip.
"My show..." Her tone was flat as she spoke. My eyebrows shot up as I pointed at the screen, trying to pretend like I hadn't forgot.
"Yes! I am, I was gonna keep it a surprise but, heh, you guessed.." she gave me a look as she narrowed her eyes at me, cracking her fingers and leaning back in her chair.
"You forgot didn't you?" Her stare made me so anxious.
"I- I was gonna come anyway-," she scoffed, her eyes looking everywhere but my face. Shit.
"Wow," she made a sarcastic face as she laughed, grabbing a notepad and scribbling in if. "You know if you didn't wanna come-"
"No! I do...I did wanna go and I do wanna go...I'm coming, I'm sorry I've just been so stressed and-"
"Nah it's cool. I get it," Billie cut me off, the sound of her pencil scribbles filling the air. "So you're coming?" She looked up at me quickly before looking back down.
"Yes," I replied, watching her hand move at the bottom of the camera. She nodded her head, quickly slamming her notepad shut.
"Good." She gave me a sincere smile this time as she pulled her hair into a high ponytail, studying my face once again. She sure likes to do that. I stared at her for a while as she did so, trying to hide my smile.

"You're pretty," I spoke, watching as her expression stayed the same, the white noise from the facetime sounding out through my phone. She sniffed, breaking the half silence.
"So, uhhh, when you come to my show if you just like walk around the back or something I can ask my team to just let you in when they see you, it's like a big yellow door-"
"I got it," I cut her off with a smile as she looked at me, swallowing in and nodding her head, letting out a sigh. "What time am I good to come?" I saw her fiddling with the pages in her notebook before pushing it away.
"I'm gonna be there at 6 am, so pull up whenever. If no one is at the door just text me and I'll come get you...that's if you even come," her tone of voice was teasing as I rolled my eyes at her, cracking my knuckles.
