"What the hell are you talking about? Where'd he go?"

McCree took another long guzzle at the fowl liquid. He sighed a wiped his face. His tired eyes fell on to Jacob. He stared at the mournful man curiously. Jesse stood still holding the bottle.

"Put this on my tab. I'm goin home."

McCree stood from the bar and walked out lazily without another word. Jacob stared somberly and sighed his gaze falling to the floor.

--------------------

"He needs some good people helping him out right now Jacob, and none of us know him like you do. You should go talk to him."

"There was one guy who knew him more than even I do."

"Who?"

"A guy named Hanzo Shimada."

"Well, where is this guy? Maybe he could talk to McCree."

"I dunno. That's what up with Jesse. Hanzo left last night. Completely disappeared. McCree hasn't told me where he's gone."

"Guess you gotta do it."

"Alright. I'll go talk to him."

*knock *knock

Mccree's muffled words spat into the throw pillow on his chouch.

"Go away!"

"Jesse? It's Jacob. Can we talk?" He said from outside.

McCree layed sprawled across his couch with an empty bottle in his hand. He moaned uncomfortably into the pillow. He sat up in disgust relizing that he had drooled everywhere. Jacob knocked again. McCree sighed and sat up slaming the bottle onto the coffee table. He opened the door staring at Jacob with tired eyes.

"What?"He said sternly.

"Want to talk about what happened last night?"

McCree chuckled a bit and leaned against the door frame eyeing Jacob.

"Does it look like I'm in a mood for talkin'?"

Jacob stood his ground and stared stubbornly at McCree, arms crossed.

"You're quite bold Jacob."

"I know you try to make yourself look tough, but I know how you can really act."

McCree sighed and finally invited Jacob inside. It had barely been one night and the smell of depressed- sweaty man filled Jacob's nose. It smelled strongly like liquor. McCree's face implied he didn't get any sleep. They both sat down.

"Where is Hanzo?"

McCree gasped a bit and put a hand over his face trying to keep himself from crying. He became upset, talking in a broken tone.

"Strait to the goddamn point then? Well, he's gone now Jacob!" McCree sniffled wrapping himself in his arms.

"You ain't ever gonna see him again, so if that was all ya came for then..."

McCree sobbed hard into his arms. Jacob looked at him sadly. He put a gentle hand to McCree's shoulder.

"I don't worry about him until I've worried about you first, Jesse. How did he leave anyway?"

"Got on a boat back to Japan."

"If he loved you, why'd he go?"

"I made him do it. It's for his own good. Danger follows me and I love him too much to let him get involved. Slowly. Every minute that goes by without him is making me regret this decision slowly more and more. I can't live without him Jacob, but I'm a danger to him."

"I'm not gonna question what about you is dangerous, but in my opinion, love overthrows all situations. Even dangerous ones."

Jacob patted McCree's shoulder and stood. He walked to the door and let himself out. Before he shut the door, he peeked back inside.

"Take care of yourself, Jesse McCree."

The door creaked as it closed. Jacob's footsteps along the wood porch became distant as he walked away from the house. McCree pulled his fingers through his messy hair and leaned to the back of the couch. He looked up at the wood ceiling. There was a painting of a sea dragon on the wood. McCree remembered one day when Hanzo looked up and asked about the painting. McCree said he had painted it himself. Hanzo smiled and admired the painting even more. He told him how beautiful it was. McCree's face started to flood with tears again. He grew angry with him self hitting his head with his hand.

"Stop cryin' damn it!"

He exclaimed. The empty bottle in his hand was thrown across the room and into the wall. It shattered across the floor and almost startled Jesse. He grabbed at his head and stared at the floor.

"He's gone now. He's safe. I'm just gonna have to live with it."

"Do you have plans today?"

"I was gonna fish in my boat for a bit. I gotta start getting fish before the winter hits us."

"Yeah, I have everyone in the water but you this week. Of course you have your reasons."

"Sorry Jacob. Winter is hard for me. My cabin needs some improvements if it's gonna survive the cold."

"No, no I understand. Let me know if you need an extra pair of hands. I've got plenty of people willing to help out."

"Thanks Jacob. I'll let you know."

McCree hung up his phone and put a coat and poncho on. He grabbed a small tackle box and went to the s doc behind his house. Winter was coming. The weather was already getting cooler. McCree got on his boat and started heading upstream. He casted a line and waited. He heard a small splash behind him and turned around. A fish, maybe, had gone under the water. He turned back, but heard the suttle splash again. He turned and gasped loudly. Jesse's breath grew rapid like his heart was about to escape his chest. He backed up nearly falling out of his boat.

"H-Hanzo?!"

Hanzo stared back, his head was the only thing breaching the water. McCree stared. Hanzo's face was covered with large gashes. He was shivering and tears fell from his face.

"H-Help me..."
