《Tour Guide | Steve Rogers ✓》Chapter Twenty Three

Quinn Greene prepared herself as Thor let out a battle cry, everyone running forward into battle. The two individual sides, the Avengers and Thanos' army clashing in an instant, both prepared to fight to the death if that's what it took.
The battle had only just started but yet it still felt like it was going on forever. It was a continuous movement of attack and then take down. Quinn was slowly starting to lose track of how aliens that she had taken down but the constant sea of Thanos' army was unrelenting and despite everything they were doing to stop them it wasn't making a dent.
"Cap!" Clint's voice suddenly echoed over the comms as Quinn kept a mental check of everyone she had run into, whether or not they were there and had survived the last five years. "What the hell do you want me to do with this damn thing?"
"Get those stones as far away as possible!"
"No!" Bruce protested."We need to get them back where they care from."
"There isn't a way to get them back." Aquila's voice reminded the team, there another teammate safe."I'm going to assume that none of you have forgotten that we don't have a Quantum Tunnel Generator anymore, kind of got a little blown up."
"Exactly." Tony agreed with Aquila. "We don't have that option anymore."
"Hold on! That wasn't our only time machine!" A voice that Quinn didn't recognize called over comms.
"Anyone see an ugly brown van out there?" Steve called out, in realization as the muffled melody of an anthem played through the battlefield.
"Yes! But you're not gonna like where it's parked." Another voice came through over the comms, someone from above sitting on what looked like a pegasus.
"That's seriously cool," Quinn muttered to herself as she took down another alien.
"Scott, how long do you need to get that thing up and running?"
"Maybe, ten minutes."
"Get it started," Steve commanded. "We'll get the stones to you."
"We're on it, Cap."
Quinn slowly worked her way through the aliens surrounding her, earning herself a slight break as her eyes scanned the battlefield.

Clint was running through the battlefield, clutching onto the gauntlet for dear life, Aquila in her transformed form flying close behind him before suddenly both of them were taken down by the army, leaving the gauntlet in King T'Challa's hands as he speed away in a completely different direction.
Quinn could only watch in shock as Wanda landed in front of T'Challa facing Thanos, her eyes blazing red, preventing him from heading in T'Challa's direction.
"You took everything from me."
"I don't even know who you are."
"You will."
Quinn watched as Wanda held Thanos completely at her mercy before she was distracted by a figure falling from a flying pile of rocks manipulated by yet another one of those creepy creature figures, hitting the ground hard. She hurried over only to find that the figure was Aquila looking around in a slight daze from the fall.
"Aquila!" Quinn shouted trying to get the eagle's attention. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine." Aquila groaned, transforming back to her usual form, as the sound of missiles exploded over head, sending both women down to the ground in protection. However, it didn't take long for the clearing to become too quiet, the missiles from the large ship overhead pointing away from the battlefield to something hidden in the sky.
A blur of colour suddenly streaked through the sky, flying through the large battle ship and out of the other side in an instant, the ship immediately exploding as the same blur fly upward through centre of the ship and back out of the top, the remains of the exploding ship falling to the ground below.
"Danvers, we could really use an assist here," Steve's voice came through comms, as he walked over to where Quinn and Aquila had now stood up.
"You alright?" Steve asked, pushing a stray piece of blonde hair off Quinn's forehead as Aquila flew off again in the background.
"I'm fine, you?"
"I'm all good. Be careful out there though." Steve said softly, his eyes fixating on Quinn's face. "I only just got you back, I really can't lose you again."
"You won't." Quinn promised Steve with a smile before running off to go fight again.

Peter Parker and Bea Ross were both laying in a ditch, hiding themselves and the Gauntlet away from Thanos' army and the missions when Carol Danvers landed in front of them.
"Hi. I'm. . . Peter Parker."
"And. . .um. . I'm Bea Ross."
"Hey, Peter Parker, Bea Ross. You two got something for me?"
"I don't know how you're gonna get it through all that." Peter stated honestly, passing over the gauntlet.
"Don't worry," Wanda informed the spider her eyes lighting up red once again, Okoye joining her side.
"She's got help."
Quinn watched with a smile as the rest of the women gathered around Carol Danvers and the Gauntlet. The only one missing was Natasha, a fact that settled cold and hard in the bottom of her stomach. Soon they all turned to face the remains of Thanos' army together.
Quinn charged forward with the rest of the women Carol and Aquila taking the lead as they flew forward trying to get a better advantage.
Keira, Hope and Shuri all fired their blasters together towards Thanos, slowing him just enough that Carol was able to fly by.
Quinn could only watch nervously as Carol had nearly reached the tunnel to get the gauntlet and stones to safety when Thanos' sword flew through the air, reaching the truck first, an explosion crackling through the air.
The blast of energy knocked them all back as the van exploded, the second Quantum Tunnel Generator lost.
"Not again." Aquila groaned lightly before they all got back to their feet to continue the fight.
Quinn could only watch unable to do anything as Tony and Thanos both headed straight towards the gauntlet just as Aquila swerved down knocking it out of the way before Thanos also sent the eagle flying back.
Thor suddenly flew forward, calling both Stormbreaker and Mjolnir to his hands, pulling them tight against Thanos' neck. Steve ran forward to help him, his ownstrength helping to keep the weapons in place.
Quinn also ran forward to help but even though they were all attacking from all angles it did nothing to phase the titan. Slowly one by one they were thrown off his body and sent in a number of different directions just like they had on the fateful day in Wakanda all those years ago.
With the previous distractions gone, Thanos reached down grabbing the Gaunlet before starting to slid it onto his hand, Carol appearing from nowhere, as the final defence, engaging him in a fight before she was also thrown back.
Power surged through Thanos' body as he lifted his gauntlet covered hand up to snap once again, but Carol was too fast for him, leaping forward and taking a hold on the gauntlet with her two bare hands, refusing to let go.
Thanos tried to phase her, throwing his head forward which collided roughly with Carol's but much to his surprise she didn't move. As the final option Thanos grabbed the Power stone from the gauntlet using it to blast her back as well.
Tony Stark watched everything unfold before him, watching as his teammates tried everything once more but for nothing. They were too close to losing everyhing again. His eyes soon trailed over towards Dr. Strange who only held up one finger in response.
And Tony already knew what he had to do.
Thanos placed the Power stone back into the Gaunlet, letting out a slight roar of pain as the power coursed through his veins once more.
Tony Stark ran forward, fighting the titan once more for the control of the Gaunlet. But it didn't take long for Thanos to send Tony flying back once again to where he had come from.
Quinn's eyes scanned the battlefield as she pushed herself up going to stand beside Steve as Thanos looked over the fallen heroes.
"I am. . . inevitable." His fingers snapped together, but nothing happened.
Quinn let out a slight gasp that quickly got Steve's attention as she watched the scene unfold in front of her. Tony Stark sat on his knees, his breaths coming out in pants, the trails of color from the Infinity Stones trailing up his arm. The power surged through his body, causing him to struggle slightly, before his eyes finally flickering around the team once last time before flickering back to the mad titan himself, Thanos.
"And I. . . am. . . Iron Man."

The Saga of Armageddon: The Call of Crows
Bjorn Stormtamer's world has been turned upside down in more ways than one. His shipmates have left him for dead on an island for quarantining victims of a disease that he now has. His partner in battle despises him, his family thinks he's dead and everyone else thinks it was good riddance. Moreover, the world is under attack by a virulent plague that kills with light and an empire from the east whose intentions are unknown but whose methods are merciless and bloodthirsty. Little does he know that the world itself is nearly on the brink of cosmic collapse. But when a bold, charismatic woman from another nation seeks him out, Bjorn discovers that the plague he has was not a plague at all, but a trial. A trial to determine who is worthy to wield the power of gods in order to give humanity a fighting chance against the winds of fate. This novel was written 2 years ago and isn't exactly my best work. I'm still improving my skills, but I encourage you to enjoy it for what it's worth. ALSO, the whole plague thing was written about before the COVID pandemic. The plague is fake and actually magic in the story, but that has NOTHING to do with real world events. I am under NO CIRCUMSTANCE trying to make ANY kind of statement with it. Please just enjoy the story and stay safe.

Rooms of the Desolate
Rooms of the Desolate is a collection of short stories designed to guide the reader through the many rooms and mysteries of the bleak and greyscale labyrinth of the Desolate. The first entry, "The Forever Tower" follows an unnamed wanderer climbing an endless, colourless tower; the only world they have ever known. As they slowly ascend alongside the masses, they consider the nature of their world and look to the corridors as temptation beckons. The second entry, "Production Line", follows an engineer in a boundless factory, who encounters a product that does not wish to bow to the overseers and makes them question their belief in the truth and duties they were made to believe. Content guidelines: Current entries do not include explicit profanity, but future entries may do so, hence the presence of that tag. Some entries do include gore and violence, though not currently to particularly extreme degrees. The Desolate is exactly that: a desolate world; as such, it is bleak, downtrodden, and may deal with mental struggles. Cover art credit: Adam Borkowski on Pexels.
