I walked towards the councilors cabin and held the note tightly. I opened the door and ripped the note right in half then threw it into the garbage can. I shuffled over to my bed and sat there in thought. My mom had given me that note trying to set me up on a date with some guy from the city. I was hoping that Max hadn't read it and would save my embarrassment from the campers. Ugh, think of everyone knowing my mom was trying to set me up with some guy. Who I didn't even know. I hated the fact that my mom wanted to set me up with someone and marry them on the spot. I will always hate arranged marriages, they are complete shit. I already broke that promise anyway. When I was 16 I secretly dated a boy and my parents never found out. We broke up secretly and my mom thinks I still haven't had a boyfriend. Which is very false, I got back up and went over to the desk by the window and sat down. Then David came in doing his usual happy dance.
He walked over to his bed and I turned around back to the desk. I noticed a e-mail popped up and I didn't want to be a snoop but I opened it anyway. It was a E-mail for David and it was something about family. So I immediately exited out of the email and walked back over to my bed. I was unpacking as well as the other campers even though I had been at camp longer than all of them. David walked out of the cabin and straight back inside and handed me 3 envelopes.
"Thanks, David." I said.
"Your very welcome Gwen!" David said with a huge grin on his face. Even though David is super happy all the time and a bit annoying at times. He is a good friend. I looked back at the envelopes and they were all from my mom. I opened them to find that my mom was very upset that I hadn't talked to that guy yet. As soon as I read them I picked all three up and threw them away. I knew this summer was gonna be a long one but I couldn't bare to think about what would happen after the summer ended. David came over and put a hand on my shoulder.

"What were those about?" David questioned. I guess he could see the anger and annoyance on my face. I didn't really want to answer so I made something up. I knew I could trust David but I didn't really want to talk about it.
"Oh, those, nothing just some random junk." I said moving towards the door.
"Hey, let's go check in on the campers. Let's hope they didn't start burning the camp down or anything." I said trying to change the subject.
"Alright." David said cheerfully. We both walked out of the cabin and headed for the tents.

For only when the final Seraph lord is slain will the Nightmare truly end. --- Happy Holidays! I tried to get a chapter out this month, but there was just too much stuff to do and I got sick. There will also be more stuff to do come the month of December to the point that I don't think I will have a chance to finish the current story arc on a strong note. So, as of today, I will be going on hiatus until the holidays are over. I will hopefully return with the last few chapters of book 2 as well as the DLC chapters to help clarify Titus and Priscilla's powers as well as a look into their lives before the story gets crazy (maybe 6-7 chapters). These chapters are planned to take place in the day between Chapter 1.4 & Chapter 1.5, detailing the day they had before going to Nivandor. How the DLC chapters will be titled is to be decided. The DLC chapters will be posted here free as usual. Really excited to get a break so I can catch up on chapters. Even more excited to be able to start book 3 once the current story arc is finished. I don't have a time frame for when they will be up but know I am chipping away at the chapters as I can. The Order
The Order takes place within the Human-led Empire, within Glory City. In this Empire in which Magic is policed and its use is regulated, Mages are required to have a licence in order to practice Magic. The Magically inclined, Non-Human Races that have lived under Human rule lived a markedly different life to Humans, which had led to a somewhat contentious relationship. A law enforcement agency known as The Order is responsible for maintaining Magical order, and is also responsible for doling out justice to those who break the law. Consisting of the Magic using Mages, and the more technologically inclined Knights, these Agents are regarded as protectors by some, but as oppressors by many. The tale follows the exploits of Izano Zuko, a mysterious man, covered from head to toe in burn scars and wrapped in bandages. He arrives in Glory City with the backing of the City Lord, unknown abilities and secret intentions. Trouble starts up almost as soon as he arrives, and Zuko is thrown into a conflict between the Order and an unknown enemy. This is a complete book, and I plan to upload a chapter every week or so. No cover as yet.
