-Gwen's P.O.V-
I was leaning on the mess hall door, waiting for David who I hadn't seen all day. I called him but he didn't pick up. I wasn't ready for this shit to go down without him. He was the only thing that kept me sane, well him and my tv shows. As I looked out at all the campers and checking there names off one by one, David burst through the door I had been leaning on. Which now I was on the ground covered in the dirt.
"David! Why!?" I asked very irritated.
"Oh, sorry Gwen! I've just been so excited to get this summer started!" David said very happily.
"I haven't seen you at ALL today! Where have you been?" I asked. brushing off the dirt on my arms and clothes, and helping myself up off the ground.
"Getting all this stuff!" He said cheerfully.
"What the hell is this?" I asked curiously.
"All the fun stuff we're doing this summer!" He said excitedly.
"So, to get all these teens to have fun, you decided using a giant inflatable giraffe would be part of the equation." I said.
"Yeah! I know they'll have fun with it!" David said.
Then all the campers started walking up to us. And looked very confused. As David went on to talk about the summer I walked over to the parents and waved them off. I also made sure all the campers were here. Once that was done I took my spot back next to David.
-Nikki P.O.V-
When we all walked up to the mess hall I was very worried as I saw a giant inflatable giraffe with brown spots and a touch of pink on its nose. I just wanted to go out and swim in the lake or go on a nature walk with Neil, like last year. That was amazing, I remember we were walking out and it was close to the end of the night. The sky was pink, Purple-ish, and orange tinted. The stars had just started to come out and there was a light breeze. In that moment I felt so happy, I didn't want any of that to end. And to my surprise it just got better. We sat down under a oak tree and looked up at the star filled sky with the tint of sun at the end. I looked at Neil who was looking at me, and at that moment I just felt like it was the right time to-.

"Nikki!" Max yelled right into my ear.
"Geez, what max?" I asked annoyed.
"Me and Neil have been shouting your name for 3 minutes straight!" Max said.
"Oh, sorry lost in thought I guess." I said smiling at Neil who was right behind him.
We then all turned are attention to Gwen and David who were talking about some stuff we would be doing this summer. It was okay I guess but I just wanted to go. I wanted to run though the trees and watch the sun set as we sat down and told Creepy stories. I love camp, it's the only time I can actually be myself. My mother, at home always made me wore dresses and makeup out to EVERYTHING we did. Even if we went to the grocery store. But I'm Nikki, and I don't like any of that stuff it's just not me. But when I went to camp I could wear what I wanted. Especially, because my mom wasn't here.
"Alrighty guys go on and get set up in your tents!" David said very excitedly.
Gwen rolled her eyes and walked away towards the counselors cabin with that note Max tried to grab earlier. I still wondered what it was but I kept it in the back of my head for now. Me, Neil, and max went back towards the bus to get our stuff. We then walked to our tent that we always shared and put our stuff on the ground. It was still about the afternoon and apparently we were all supposed to go do are first camp activity. Mine was a nature walk, which I was so excited for. I grabbed Neil by the hand excitedly and ran out of the tent to the trail. I let go of his hand to see his face a light pink. I looked back over at the lake as we started our walk to our usual spot in the woods.
