-He's not nervous, he's pretty experienced going on dates and stuff with older women
-Got your phone number from a friend of a friend
-Feels pretty confident
-Opens up a Coke and sits in front of his laptop as he dials
-When you answer, he says, "Hey, Y/N, it's Gon, we met at the gym, remember??"
-He doesn't usually call to make dates, or social things. So this is sort of nerve-wracking for him
-Got your number by looking it up on social media
-Is shaky about calling you, and it's making him crabby
-When you answer, he blurts out, 'I'm Kil, do you know me?"
-You do, and it's really cute.
-Mr. Business Man, very calm
-No problem calling you at all
-He asked you for your number directly
-He has a few minutes of downtime so figured it would be a good time to call you
-When you answer, he says, "Hi, Y/N. This is Kurapika. I had a moment so thought I'd call, is this a good time to talk?"
-Always frazzled because he's so busy with medical school
-Knows if he doesn't call you now, it ain't gonna happen, because he'll get too crazed with something else going on.
-Isn't nervous but kind of wants to get it over with so you can make a plan and he can get back to work and have a fun date to look forward to
-When you answer, he says, "Heyyyy! It's Leorio! Dude, I cannot tell you how many times I've been meaning to call but my schedule has been NUTS!"
-He is so socially awkward he doesn't know how to call anyone except to report he's finished a mission
-Hisoka got your number at a party for him since he was too shy to ask

-He decides the best way to handle this is to just bite the bullet
-When you answer, he says very stiffly, "This is Illumi Zoldyck, hello."
-It's still sort of adorable
-Oh please, does anything stress this guy out?
-He's slicker than oil
-When he got the number for Illumi, he immediately hit on that girl's friend, which was you (Y/N)
-When you answer, he says, "Hey, gorgeous! Remember me, Hisoka? What are you up to?"
-He then asks if you'd like to double-date with Illumi and your friend, and laughs and says it's going to be a ripping good time
-This guy is the man
-He asked you for your number
-Called you the next day
-You don't even remember what he said, just that you need to be dressed in black tie attire and ready at 8 on Saturday. You open up your laptop and start shopping for the perfect dress
-Not nervous
-But a man of few words
-When you answer, he just says "Hey" in a sexy whisper
-Your heart skips about 100 beats and your insides turn to water
-Nervous
-Was going to have Feitan try to get your number, but was worried he'd freak you out too much because he's weird
-Ended up getting it himself (and didn't seem nervous when he asked you, because he's so friendly)
-Pounds a beer before calling
-When you answer, you have no idea he's even nervous at all. He's so nice and sweet, you immediately agree to go out with him that weekend

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Familiar In Chains
Familiar: A magical beast of one type or another which forms a magical bond with a mage who possesses a similar magical trait. Thus entering into a master-servant contract. Due to their abilities as a familiar, they possess all of the intelligence and knowledge of a human alongside the instincts and nature of a beast. Sourced From: My First Familiar Assigned text for third-year mages For young mages, obtaining their first familiar is a momentous occasion. Their magic forms a symbiotic relationship with their bonded mage, amplifying their's strengths and covering for their weaknesses. Often the strength of one's familiar is a key factor in how far a mage will go in their career. They are considered a necessity in the Empire of Afaron and the surrounding nations. Once familiars were caught in the wild and brought back for training and bonding. Eventually, however, the wild magic beasts were hunted to the point that they could no longer be found. Those that had been bred domestically would often produce magicless offspring. Nowadays the mages of Afaron know nothing of how familiars are bred, raised, and tamed. Once every three years, the Order of Beast Tamers come down from their mountain strongholds with caravans loaded with familiars purchased by noble families and magic academies. The Beast Tamer's generosity hides a dark truth. If you can't find a magic beast, make one. (Warning: Mild Nudity)

War Beast
The future is savage. Jenny Summer is a news reporter who hates her job. One day, an accident sends her through a time portal, straight into the distant future. A future of warring Beastmen tribes, deadly monsters, and magic from beyond the imagination. When the savage world is full of many threats, how will the average modern-day girl survive? Author's Note: This is a rewrite of my fiction with the original title. Instead of changing my chapters in my other draft, I made a copy with a different beginning and a few new chapters. The beginning will move straight to the fantasy world like most Isekai light novels. As usual, each chapter will go between 500 and 2,000 words. I deleted the other draft since this draft will be my focus. Enjoy and let me know what you think of this new draft. There may also be grammar and spelling errors too. This series is still in development.
