Chapter 11 - "You're A Virgin!"
"W-What?!" I almost yell, my eyes wide.
"We're engaged, remember? We're supposed to sleep together. People will be weird of we don't." Alarice shrugs indifferently, looking at me as if I'm a kid who can't learn his Alphabets.
"B-But—" I stammer, trying to explain.
"C'mon, Anders! It's such a huge bed! Even our pinkies won't touch, I swear!" She makes a wide arc with her hand, exasperated. "You can't tell me you've never slept with a girl! I know humans do a lot of that before marriage." Alarice rolls her eyes, placing her hands on her hips.
I blush like a switch flipped on, my heartbeat flying out of control, as embarrassment takes permanent residence on my face.
"Um, I-I—Actually—It's—"
"No way." Alarice's eyes bug out of their sockets, as her hands drop from her hips, and mouth falls open in shock.
"I—"
"Oh my Goddess! You're a virgin!" She suddenly proclaims, making my cheeks heat up even more. I look away, crossing my arms across my chest, forcing my cheeks to cool down.
Suddenly, Alarice bursts out laughing.
"Ha ha ha ha—" She throws her head back, laughing like a maniac, but there's a hint of hysteria in it, almost as if she's covering something else with her musical laughter.
Which is doing a good job of distracting me.
Only you, Anders. Only you will see so much into the tiniest of things.
"Um." I bite the inside of my cheek, completely mortified, as she laughs her heart out.
"Y-You're a v-virgin!" She exclaims in-between laughter, but this time, there is an unmistakable hint of relief to it. Even, I can't convince myself that it's in my head. It's just so obvious.
I turn to her with a frown, observing her laughing face, the blush coating my cheeks long forgotten.
She falls quiet gradually, looking down as she chuckles occasionally. But I can still see her lips moving, muttering something under her breath. I survey them carefully, and understand after a moment that she's actually repeating those three words.
You're a virgin.
"You seem almost happy about that." I blurt out, and slap a palm over my mouth, realizing that I actually said it out loud.
She turns to me with a frown of her own. "Of course, I am." She agrees, as if the answer should've been obvious.
"You are?!" I exclaim, furrowing my brows together.

I thought she was making fun of me...
"What?! No! I was not making fun of you! I'm so sorry if I gave you the wrong idea!" She exclaims back with wide eyes, shaking her head in rapid succession as she raises her hands in defense.
My frown deepens.
She wasn't?
"No." Alarice negates firmly, walking forward.
And I now know that she's answering the questions in my head, because I might've mumbled something.
I'm used to her sharp ears by now.
You talk like you've been with her for years Anders. It's been one freakin' day!
Only a day? Wow, time passes so slowly around here.
"Anders." Alarice places her hands atop my shoulders, looking up at me.
"Hm?"
"I. Did. Not. Make. Fun. Of. You." Alarice repeats each word strongly, shaking her head once with a strong resolve in her honey colored eyes.
"Oh." I say, nodding, but still, disbelieving.
Why else would someone laugh?
"Oh Goddess, I just thought humans didn't value their virginity!" Alarice sighs in a exasperated manner, tsking and giving a squeeze to my shoulder.
"Why do you refer to 'Humans' as if you're not one of them?" I ask, looking at her with and 'Are-you-crazy' look.
Her brows shoot up as she bites her tongue with a cringe, making an 'OML' face.
"I...I just refer to people as humans. You know, just to be different." She shrugs with a cheeky smile, waving her hand around.
I raise one brow, unconvinced.
"What?!" She laughs. "I'm serious!" She exclaims, sighing dramatically.
I sigh, shaking my head at her. "Just...Just tell me which side of the bed you want,"

Even our pinkies won't touch, my àrśe.
She's practically on top of me, smothering me and restricting me.
And yeah, her leg on top of me is what that woke me up.
I sigh, trying to push her away.
"Mhm." She mumbles something and snuggles closer, tightening her arms around my midriff.
"Pfft." I crane my neck, glancing at the digital clock in the room.
3:10 am.
"Alarice." I whisper, trying to wake her up softly.
"Shut up." She groans, burying her nose into my neck.
"Wha—" I start, but then she does something I never thought she would.
She sniffs.
She fūckin' sniffs.
"Mm." She moans and shakes her head.
What the actual hell?!
"Alarice." I call louder this time, removing her arms around me forcefully, pushing her away with a firm shove.

Her arms resist initially, but then they loosen and she rolls away, back to her side.
I sigh in relief.
I turn to the side, taking a look at her peaceful face. At the way her face is half buried into the pillow, at the way her pink mouth is parted slightly as she breathes in and out in soft little pants.
Just go to fuçking sleep, Anders.
I shake my head and turn around, pulling the blankets that she'd kicked away, up to my neck, as I shut my eyes, begging sleep to take me back into it's arms.

"Fuck." I sigh, pulled out of my filmy sleep by a kick to the butt.
Literally.
I sigh in irritation and turn around, only to find Alarice's leg close to my butt, and her arms around her pillow, hugging it.
I pull myself up and push her leg away, falling back on the bed.
I look at the ceiling in silence.
I want to so badly wake her up and yell at her for disturbing my sleep now.
But she just looks so cute sleeping like a kid, hugging the pillow and all, I just don't have the heart to do so.
I glance at the clock one more time.
3:55 am.
Sigh.
There's some rustling of sheets and I turn around to see her pushing the pillow away. I chuckle under my breath in amusement as her sleeping face contorts in irritation, and the she's moving closer to me. Before I can move away, one long leg is around my torso, and one arm locks around my neck firmly.
Goddess!
Wait, 'Goddess'? Who the heck is 'Goddess'? And, why did I just think that?!
"Hm," Alarice sighs happily, smiling in her sleep like a little kid does when she has good dreams.
I, on the other hand, sigh in utter confusion.
What the hell is happening to you Anders? It hasn't even been a day, and you're already changing!
I shake my head and try to fall back asleep, knowing that pushing her off is no use now.
+++
I wake up on my own, with sunlight falling on my eyes, yawning. I feel like I was dead last night. I just slept too soundly.
I wonder why...
I look down, wondering why I'm so warm. I blush when I realize it's because a certain girl refused to let go of me last night.
Crap.
Alarice head is in the same place as it was the previous night, in the crook of my neck. One arm is still around my neck, and one leg is around my torso, almost draping across my pelvic bone.
Dangerously close to the...morning glory.
My cheeks redden further.
I wonder if I can escape without waking her up?
I look down to check if she's still asleep deeply.
Only, I almost jump out of my skin when I'm met with a pair of bright gold ones, shining brightly in the sunlight.
"Jesus!" My heartbeat bounces up to my throat, shock making it beat out of control.
"Ha ha. Sorry." Alarice smiles in a way that says, 'I'm not sorry at all'.
I clutch my free hand to my chest, trying to calm down my erratic heart. At least, the part of my chest which is not covered by her.
"Good morning!" She chirps, not moving away like any normal person would do.
"Um, good morning. You're kind of...on top of...me." I mumble, gesturing to her with my hand.
She sighs, almost looking disappointed.
"Should I really move?" She asks, pouting as she looks up at me with widened gold eyes.
I swallow, unable to say anything as I nod in a fevered manner.
She sighs once again, "But I like this position!" She grumbles with another pout, making me blush once again.
"Um, I-you—"
"Okay, okay, I get it. I'll move." She says and pulls her leg back to her side, brushing against...oh mah gawd...you know what I mean.
I almost moan wantonly, but thankfully stop it in the last second, groaning instead.
She sits up, and turns to me, and from the way her irises have expanded and the way she's smirking at me, I know she did it on purpose.
But I'm in no state of mind to point that out.
I quickly sit up, and she chuckles under her breath.
I think I'm going to die in embarrassment.
Cause of death: Blushed too hard in mortification.
"The bathroom is all yours, love." I can almost hear the smirk in her voice, as I blush even harder, rushing in the direction of those four walls that are the only thing that can save me now.
