《You're Bittersweet (on hold)》Chapter 11

⚠️ Isabels POV:
I texted Marcus this morning to see what he was up to.
Isabel: G'mornin 💜
It's been hours and he still hasn't replied. He's probably just busy.
I put on some leggings and a comfy tank top and headed downstairs. I slipped out the door and went for a quick jog in the neighborhood.
I was running across a crosswalk when I heard a loud crash coming from a house nearby. I jumped at the sound and started running faster.
——————————
My phone pinged as I stepped out of the shower. It was Marcus.
Marcus🥰: Hey sorry for the late reply, but im a little caught up with something right now.
I sighed
Isabel: it's alright text me whenever you can.
I laid down on my bed and sighed. I later decided I'd busy myself with watching movies.
About an hour or so into the movie my phone pinged again. This time it was a message from an unknown number.
"That's weird" I said out loud
I opened the text and it read
"Meet Me At River Park in 5 minutes"
I furrowed my eyebrows at this random text.
I began typing
Isabel: I think you've got the wrong number...?
Unknown: Isabel right?
"Who the heck is this?"
Isabel: Who is this?
I didn't get a reply
I put on my jacket and announced to my family that I was going out and should be back in about an hour.
I silently rode my skateboard to River Park and arrived rather quickly. I tucked my board under my arm and entered the undercover area and sat at a bench.
Isabel: I'm here. Im in the green jacket.
Unknown: on my way
I turned off my phone and stuffed it in my pocket. I combed my fingers through my hair as I waited.

A cold hand covered my eyes and the other was over my mouth. One reached for my jacket and pulled. I was getting dragged backwards and I fell off of the bench and onto the concrete. Suddenly a snarky burst of laughter sounded through the air. I opened my eyes to four people standing over me.
They wore matching dark clothing as if they were spy's. I quickly attempted to get up, but one of the guys grabbed the collars of my jacket and shoved me back down. One of the girls started kicking me and then the others did too.
"Please leave me alone!" I cried out
A girl started punching my head as the rest were kicking me, and holding me down. I tried with all of my strength to get out of their grasp but I couldn't.
They finally let go of me and I laid there in pain not being able to move. One of the guys moved toward me and picked me up. He looped his hands under my arms and pinned me so that I wasn't able to run. One of the other people there started punching my stomach and I tried kicking them away but it was no use.
Tears streamed down my face as I yelled. Nobody could hear me since the others covered my mouth with a cloth.
Eerily a blonde girl slowly approached me and pulled something out of her pocket. It was a sharp knife. I started kicking and screaming even louder. I bit down onto the cloth and ripped it away from their hand. I screamed for help and was kicked in the chest. I felt a big breath fly out of my lungs as I fell. I couldn't breathe.
The girl reached for my chin and I looked up at her as I sobbed. She glided the blade down my cheek and spoke.

"Y'know there's always consequences...you thought you could just fight Kas and think we wouldn't intervene. Nah that ain't how shit works around here"
I suddenly realized these were Kasandras friends. They were all glaring at me. I felt my breath hitch as she pushed the blade down a bit harder. She moved it down to my collar bone.
She sliced into a layer of my skin. I began to bleed and cry out.
"Please stop please-"
A man walked up behind the girl and took the knife from her hand.
"Yo what the hell-" she spat
He glared at her
"I gave you a very very specific job...I didn't order you to cut this girl did I?" He asked coldly
She stopped and snatched the knife back. She looked at me..pointed the blade at me then walked away.
My whole body ached at this point and I wanted to go home. I wanted for someone to hear me and help me.
The boy let go of me and I ran for it. The boy was about to run for me but the man placed his hand on the boys chest stopping him.
"Leave her be. We've better things to attend to"
