《Poems》My Home

My place of hope is something that can't be seen
It can not be heard or touched or tasted
At least not with the way normal people usually do
It takes a certain skill to see
And hear and feel what's going on
In my mind
My imagination is what keeps me sane
A glad escape from my everyday life
It's full of magic and wonder and impossible things
Anything I want to see and
Hear and touch and taste. To smell and
Imagine
My mind is a place of possibilities
Where I can create whatever I want
And when I can't create anything more than what I have
I read the great books of others
And a movie plays in my head
Like before
I choose a book from the shelf and sell my soul
I spend all my time reading to the end
I stay up late and wake up early to finish a life
And when I flip that final page
It feels as if I lost a part
Of myself
I travel the universe and dimensions
All without moving a step from my seat
I have lived a thousand lives and traveled to distant worlds
And I have seen the end of time
All because I read those plain words
On a page
A book a day keeps reality away
A barrier that shelters me from life
A world that distracts and comforts me in my times of need
And to know that I'm not alone
In my fight I visit the place
I call home

How to Save a Star [BxB]
“Do you know that stars die?” I asked, breaking the silence. I didn't know where the question came from, but that's the only thing that came to mind. “Yeah,” he answered. “And some stars we see in the sky may be already dead. But they're so far away that their afterglow can still be seen above. Some of them may seem glowing but they’re truly dead.” We all have a little gallery of photographic memories inside our hearts. An exhibit of things we could never forget through our short moments in time. Some were so good, we held it like they were the best part of our lives while some were things we desperately ran away from - they hunted us, and killed our hopes. The beginning of my life ended on my tenth birthday, the day when my childhood was stolen away from me. I longed to run away from that nightmare that held me tightly in my neck and made me helpless under its grasp. Going to college had become my final chance to run away. On my seventeenth birthday, after enrolling at a university, my life took another shift. I met a man who showed me the glimmer of hope I always wanted to see. And this was our story. A narration of first love, bittersweet and worthwhile. DISCLAIMER: This novella primarily contains gay romance. Read at your own risk.

check the pulse and come back swearing
You always were something else, weren't you? Those eyes, too brown for your own good, and that old jacket that you loved to death - falling apart, but you didn't care.Looking at it now, I suppose it was inevitable. That it would always end up like this - you, in a hospital bed, and me, on the outside.Note: This is a work that has previously been posted on AO3, so if you follow me over there, it might look familiar!
