FLUKE
I smiled as Ohm and Mark entered the house. My ever possessive and jealous boyfriend was immediately next to me without me noticing it. His arm was around my waist and heard him whisper in my ear, "Don't smile at him like that, Baby."
I chuckled and lightly hit his chest, "Stop it, Baby. Enough with your jealousy, hmm?" He just pouted. He looked adorable. I looked at our visitor and greeted him. "Hi, Mark. What brings you here?"
"I just took the chance of coming here, thinking you might still be living here." He explained.
"So. . . Now that you know he's still living here, what now?" Ohm asked firmly.
I shook my head and glared at him. "Ohm, would you mind getting us something to drink?" I asked. "Please?" I think he got what I wanted to happen, I wanted him to let loose for a while. He was becoming too protective already.
He looked at Mark and warned, "Don't go near, okay?" Mark couldn't do anything but nod.
When Ohm was gone, I asked Mark to sit down. I sat in a seat opposite him. "Sorry about that. . . So, what do you want to say?" I asked.
"Fluke, I know it was too late, but I just want to apologize for everything I did to you in the past. I hurt you so much. I regretted everything."
I looked at him and sighed, "You should've realized that you were going to hurt me with what you were doing then. I was very hurt, Mark. I was mourning, but you chose to enjoy yourself with your woman. I thought you were the one I could lean on. I thought you were the one to comfort me during those times, but no, you were the one who looked for another person's comfort."

"Fluke. . . I . . ."
"Mark. . ." I said to stop him from what he was about to say. "Since it was already in the past, and we both moved on with our lives, can you be honest this time?" He just nodded his head and I continued, "Was it my fault? Was it because I did not give in to your needs, that's why you looked for other people to satisfy you?"
He stood up and moved to the seat next to mine. He was about to hold my hand when a clearing of the throat was heard near us. We both looked up and saw Ohm standing behind Mark's seat with a tray in his hands.
"No touching, Dude." He said firmly with an intimidating look on his face that made Mark gulp and nodded slowly. "Would you mind going back to your seat, please? I don't like you get near him."
"Baby!" I reprimanded. "You're scaring him."
"That's good."
"No. Don't be rude to the visitor, please."
He sighed and put down the tray on the table. "O. . . kay. . . Sorry. . ." He took the glass of juice and gave it to Mark. "Have some drink, Man. Don't worry, I didn't put any poison or anything that will harm you."
"Baby!" I glared at him, but he just smiled mischievously. "Can you just stay in the kitchen for a while? We're not yet done talking." I asked and saw him pouted once again. I giggled loudly and his pout turned to a smile. "Don't worry, I'll call you when he did something bad." I chuckled as I saw Mark's reaction.
"No. . . No. . ." He immediately said. "I won't do anything bad."
"Good," Ohm said and pat Mark's shoulder a bit harder. Then he leaned down to kiss me on my forehead and said, "Just call when you need me, Baby."

As Ohm left, I turned my attention to Mark who was already looking at me. "I'm sorry about that."
"He's. . . He's very possessive. . . and . . . intimidating." He stuttered.
"Possessive, yes. Intimidating? It only comes out when needed." I said and chuckled. "Anyways, you can continue now. I just need an answer, Mark. . . You know. . . That time, I almost blamed myself. Maybe because I did not give in to you that's why you looked for others to do it. . ."
"No, Fluke. . . That was all me. You were a good boyfriend. All you gave me was love, but I did not value it. I was so immature that time, and maybe I thought that you loved me so much then, so you wouldn't leave me even if I did something bad to you. . ." He explained. "I'm so sorry, Fluke. I'm so sorry."
"Did you even love me?"
"Yes, Fluke. I did."
"You know what? Someone told me that you would wait for me if you loved me." I told him and looked him in the eyes. "It seemed the opposite of what you said. You did not wait for me, you looked for people to give you what I couldn't. So what was that with the others? Just casual sex? I heard that it was not only that person I saw in your apartment that you had sex with, but there were more. Did you not think about what I would feel if I knew what you were doing then?"
He ducked his head and continuously said, "I'm so sorry."
"Mark. . . I just wish you had learned your lessons. You wouldn't find happiness if you were still the same Mark who cheated on his partner before." I explained to him. "I already forgave you, Mark." He looked up and saw me smiling at him. "You know I can't hold grudges on others for long. It's all in the past now, and we cannot change what happened."
"Thank you, Fluke. Can we still be friends?"
I shook my head at him. "No. . . I can forgive, but I don't forget. You broke my trust when you cheated on me. I know it's kinda absurd, but one important part of friendship is trust, and I cannot trust you anymore. I hope you understand that."
He smiled bitterly and nodded his head slowly. "I understand. . . Still. . . Thank you for forgiving me."
"Is there anything else you want to say? Because my boyfriend and I still have some things to do today, so. . ."
"No. . . No more. Sorry for disturbing your day. I'll let myself out now. Take care, Fluke."
I was engulfed in a hug as Mark left the house. I felt Ohm's lips on my temple and his hands caressing my back.
I hugged him tight and looked up. "Baby. . ."
He leaned down to give me a peck on the lips. "You did great, Baby."
I leaned my head on his shoulder feeling comfortable in his embrace. Now that that chapter in the past was closed, I could completely move on and continue my life with Ohm. I just wished that he would be the one for me for the rest of my life.
