《Believing In Fairytales》Chapter Five: Robin's House

It's been a month. A glorious month with Robin. He takes me on at least four dates a week. He pampers me and I absolutely love it. In fact he even invited me to come over to his house this weekend. I'm a tad nervous about it because I get to meet his son. He's just a three year old and I hope I can handle him.

I take a deep breath as I struggle to close my weekend bag. A knock on the door brings me instant happiness. I practically run over to the door and try my hardest not to fall.

"Robin!" I say as I swing the door open.

"Hello love." He says and he gives me a kiss on the cheek. "Are you packed?"

"Yes I am. I just have to get my bag. I'm really excited for this weekend."

"So am I. I think you should pack a bathing suit. I may have promised Roland that we would take a swim."

"That sounds great. I'll be right back." I rush into my room and head straight for my closet. I dig through all the drawers in my dressers trying to find the perfect bathing suit.

"Regina." I here Robin's voice softly call out to me.

"I'm coming!" I yell out at him. I'm still frantically trying to find my bathing suit. I start looking through the pile of clothes I threw on the floor. A gentle set of hands take my nervous ones and hold them tightly.

"Relax sweetheart. You need to calm down." He whispers in my ear and he instantly calms me down. He still holds my hands that have stopped shaking.

"I'm sorry I'm just nervous. I've never been to your house and I want to make a good impression on Roland."

"He'll adore you probably more than I do which is impossible." Robin says and I give him a small smile.

"We could leave but I still need to find a bathing suit."

"How about this one?" He says as he hands me the bikini I was looking for.

"How the hell did you find it?"

"Magic of course. Are you ready to leave?"

"Sure." I say and Robin helps me off the floor. We walk back in my room and I tell Robin to wait in the living room. I repack my bag, leaving half of what I packed and I easily close the bag. Feeling ten times better as I walk in to see Robin on the phone.

"I need it to be perfect and I need it by tomorrow." He says and then he hangs up the phone. His eyes immediately look into mine and he smiles at me.

"What was that about?"

"It was just work. Don't worry about it." He says and then he takes my bag from my hand. "Let's just have a great weekend!"

"You're right let's go." I say with a smile. Robin grabs my hand and leads us out the apartment building. Hand in hand we walk towards his car. As usual he opens the door for me and I slide into the car. Robin puts my luggage in the trunk and quickly gets in the car.

"How far is your house?"

"About forty-five minutes to an hour."

"I feel bad that you have to commute all this way just to see me."

"Your worth it." He says and he grabs my hand and sweetly holds it as he starts to drive. I'm not going to lie sitting in a car is very boring. The only thing that is keeping me awake is my excitement about meeting Roland. I heard any stories about him and I can't wait to see him in person.

I lay my head on the car window and watch the white lines on the road quickly pass by. The trees also move quickly past my gaze. I stare up at the sky and see the perky blue skies with hints of fluffy white clouds.

"You can take a nap if you want." Robin says as he gently rubs the back of my hand.

"No, I can stay awake." I say and an involuntary yawn escapes my mouth and Robin laughs.

"Regina, it's time to wake up." Robin says as he rubs small circles on my shoulder. I open my eyes to see him standing in the door way of the car and we must apperantly be at his house already.

"Oh, we're here." I say as I reach for my seatbelt but realize that Robin must have taken it off. I step out of the car and my shoes meet the noisy gravel on his driveway.

"I already put your stuff inside and Roland is excited to see you. I'll give you a tour first."He says and then he leads me towards his house.

"Wow! This looks nice." I stare at the gigantic white house. From the driveway you can see the wide and open back yard. There are trees and flowers spread out all over the yard. This so called house looks more like a mansion to me.

"I would hope so because me and my father built it about ten years ago. Are you ready to see the inside?"

"Yeah, sure."

Robin leads me all throughout the house and shows me every single room in the house. The living room has a very nice fireplace and creative decor. The kitchen, like the rest of the house, is huge and extravagant. He escorts me outside to see the rather magazine worthy backyard. It had some patio furniture and an outdoor pool. He then proceeds to show me the inside pool and the gym. Finally he ends the tour with his room, other guest rooms and then Roland's bedroom.

"Roland, can we come in?" Robin asks as he knocks on the door. A little voice can be heard on the other side of the door that mumbles a simple "yes". Robin opens the door slowly and I finally get to see the infamous Roland.

The small little boy looks up from his toys with a confused face. He then realizes something then runs over to me and practically tackles me with his little fingers. As he hugs my legs I run my fingers through his soft brown curly hair.

"Hi Gina!" He says and his voice is muffled against the fabric of my jeans.

"Hello Roland. It's really nice to meet you buddy." I say as I shift and lift him in my arms. At this angle I can see his beautiful brown eyes and the dimples he surely got from his father.

"I drew you a picture!"

"I can't wait to see it!" I say and I look over at Robin who is possibly smiling more than his son.

"I'll give you guys some time to get to know each other." Robin says as he walks closer and weeds his fingers through Roland's hair.

"Okay, I'll see you later." I say and I give him a quick kiss. He places his hand on my back before he leaves the room.

"Can I get a kiss too!" Roland beams as he leans forward in my arms.

"Of course." I say and I kiss him on the cheek. He giggles and wiggles out of my arms and runs over to a small table in the center of his room. He holds up a piece of paper proudly as he shows it to me.

"I draw this for you!" He says not using the proper term. He hands me the paper that is full of different scribbles in different colors.

"I love it Roland." I say as I take the picture and hold it in my hands. Even though it's just scribbles on a paper it means a lot that a child would go out of his way to draw me a picture.

"Can we play with cars?"

"No." I say and disappointment appears on his face. "We can play with race cars!" I say and he instantly perks up and drags me towards a race track.

It's been a nice long day filled with playing with Roland and watching children's movies. Somehow Robin wrangled Roland into the bathtub and in his pajamas. Now we are sitting on Roland's bed arguing about the fact that he should go to bed.

"Roland it's time to go to bed now." Robin says to his son who is in his footed pajamas.

"Papa I don't want to go to bed. I wanna play with Gina!" He says as he crawls onto my lap and clings to my shirt.

"If you go to bed then you can wake up really early and we can play again." I say trying to negotiate with the three year old.

"No." He says trying to be persistent but soon lets out a small yawn.

"How about if I kiss you goodnight?" I whisper into his ear.

"Deal." He says with a smile plastered on his face that reminds me of his father. I kiss him on the cheek and he finally settles down in his bed. Robin and I exit the room and he turns to me.

"What did you say to him? I can never get him to bed."

"I asked for him to go to sleep in exchange for a kiss. He is your son and I knew it would work."

"If he got a kiss then I should get one too." Robin says with a goofy smile.

"Nope." I say with a smirk and I turn to walk to Robin's bedroom.

I just took a very hot shower. The temperature was great and the water pressure was amazing. I am now dressed in a huge shirt that I stole from Robin. It has a name of a band I don't know on it but it fits me perfectly.

I start walking out the bathroom and my gaze drifts to my feet. I really need a pedicure I think as I open the door. I walk out the bathroom and someone grabs my waist and lifts me off the ground. My instincts kick in and I start to defend myself against my attacker.

"Regina calm down. It's only me." Robin says in my ear and I instantly calm down. He turns me around in his arms and gives me a wide smile.

"I'm sorry I thought you were..." I start to say but I don't want Robin to know about him.

"Thought I was who?" Robin says as his smile fades a bit.

"I thought you were a crazy burglar for a second." I say with an awkward laugh.

"I like to consider myself a thief." He says with a witty smile.

"Why?"

"Because I stole your heart." He says and he spins me around. I laugh as he puts me down.

"You did a very good job at that." I say and I give him a kiss on the cheek. I walk across the room and climb into his giant bed.

"I expected more from a queen." Robin says before we gets in bed next to me.

"You're a thief and you don't require much." I quickly retort and I snuggle closer to him.

"It doesn't mean that I don't deserve it."

"This one time for you my thief I will grant you a kiss."

He holds me close with his hands firmly wrapped around my waist. I slowly move my lips towards his as my eyes slowly close. Our lips meet in a sincere sense of passion. It feels as if he expresses all his love for me in that one moment. I express my gratitude by intensifying the kiss.

Soft moans escape my mouth as he continues to kiss me. My hands travel up to his face and graze his scruffy beard. A beard that belongs to the man I love. He moves away and allows me to breathe.

"Did that suffice my thief?"

"Of course it did." He says with a smile plastered on his face.

"You're a great boyfriend." I say as I feel his dimples.

"When did you start calling me that?"

"Shh, you're going to spoil the moment." I say as I trace my fingers over his nose.

"You're a great girlfriend." He whispers in my ear as he pulls me closer to him. His hands on my waist and my hands are laying on his chest. I feel safest here. I feel loved in the hands of my boyfriend as we peacefully drift asleep.
