(Y/n)'s POV

I woke in the morning with my eyelids still feeling heavy from not being able to sleep. I didn't know why but my dreams were plagued with nightmares, and part of me wished I could have been back in Gally's room it was a lot warmer and secure in there than in my hammock. Or maybe it's just Gally's presence, my mind suggests.

I push the thought away and go to Gally's room to have him re-braid my hair I can feel hairs sticking out of the previously done braid. As I go I make sure to not let any of the other gladers see me not wanting to add to the list of things they'll tease me about. As I go into homestead I count the doors and knock softly on Gally's "come in," Gally says with a yawn.

I enter the room and he laughs slightly at the sight of me "wow shebean your hair looks.." he says laughing. I send a glare his way and when I look at him I can tell he didn't sleep very well either. "Go ahead and sit down so I can do your hair so we can get to work," he says and I listen sitting in front of him. "So how'd you sleep?" I ask already knowing the answer to the awkward question "honestly like shit," he says not taking his focus away from my hair.

"Me either, honestly I haven't slept better than when I slept in here as much as I hate to admit it," I tell him "You know, you could still sleep in here. I mean if it'd help you sleep better I don't see the problem with it," Gally tells me causing me to blush. "I may take you up on that, but can you do me a favor?" I ask him "another favor other than doing your hair?" he quizzes with a scoff.

"Just don't tell anyone about this. They give me enough shit as it is and preferably I rather not add to the list," I tell him feeling like maybe he'll think that I'm ashamed to be around him, which isn't the case. "Okay," is all Gally says until he finishes with my hair. "Get to work Shebean I'm done," he says standing and leaving for work himself.

I feel awkward about the encounter not sure how Gally took it, he seemed a little upset, but I can't let the guys here undermine me any more than they already do. I go and work and make sure to leave a mess for Chuck not forgetting about the trouble he's caused me quite yet.

The day goes on like any regular day but when it's time for lights out I only lay in my hammock long enough for everyone around me to fall asleep. I then climb out and make my way to homestead I try my best to stay quiet as I open the door to Gally's room. "Took you long enough," Gally says as I climb in beside him. I roll my eyes "slim it," I tell it before I shamelessly cuddle into his chest.
