Adrian pov*

I have a headache for working too much but it's the only thing I can do to stay sane.

I don't want to return home early I try to spend as little time as possible there, my house is plenty of memories so I want to be completely drained before go back, just the time to take a quick shower and go to bed and fall in deep sleep without thinking about anything or anyone.

"Hey bro"

"Jeff what do you want again?" I asked my best friend who came back from his world tour 3 months ago

"Don't be rude Ad"

"I am not it's just you come here practically every day you don't have anything to do?"

"Well I just want to see you"

"Yeah I do know why you are here and like I say every time you come I am perfectly fine" I said

"Oh please Adrian do you see yourself recently you seem like a ghost"

"It's...it's just the work" I replied rubbing my eyes

"I think you have to speak about what happened it has been 4 months you divorced now and your condition is always the same"

"Oh please Jeff drop this topic there is nothing to discuss about it I was an idiot not more than that" I stood up and headed to the windows

"Listen you know my opinion about..."

"STOP IT I am fed up with all of you defending her despite what she has done, I am tired to hear the same thing over and over again I have to put up with your behavioral change, grieving a failed relationship ,a trust lost forever all ALONE and I can't take it anymore. You are here you my parents my sister moralizing me making her a victim and made me the villain here" I yelled cutting him

"I don't say that!"

"But you are implying it"

"Ok calm down buddy" He came towards me patting my shoulders

"It's ok" I said walking away from him sitting on the couch and put my face on my hands trying to calm down it's the first time I exploded in front of someone about her. But no one tried to take my place, to feel my suffering and understand that I am the real victim here.

"Listen I won't bring the discussion anymore just let me tell you one last thing"

I let out a breath and nodded

"I saw her in a coffee shop in the other side of the city last week she is working there and she didn't look well" Jeff said with pain in his eyes, I know he likes her and considered her as his sister

"Which one" I didn't know why I asked

"The avenue coffee at Wilson Street Why are you asking?"

"For nothing curiosity I guess"

"Huumm ok I am going now. Please take care of yourself Adrian"

"I will thanks buddy"

I returned to my work but it was impossible to concentrate so I took my car's key my jacket and went out of my office

"Erin cancel my meetings and take my calls for the rest of the day"

I didn't wait for her reply and stormed in the elevator. I kept driving until I found myself in front of the Avenue coffee. I parked my car and looked towards the coffee few minutes later I saw her with a tray serving customers. She was wearing a black trousers and a white shirt. She appeared slimmed down apart from her belly that seemed huge now. I kept staring at her comings and goings.' Why she is working I asked myself maybe her lover abandoned her after he known that she was pregnant didn't want to take responsibility but I don't blame him who want to start a family with a whore like her'

I felt like a stalker but I couldn't stop myself so I stayed there for almost two hours observing her like she was doing the most interesting thing in the world. So after all this time I saw her leaving the coffee shop I looked at my watch it was 6pm. I started the car and followed her slowly; she was walking with her head down. She stopped at a tacos stand and made her order; took the food bag after some time and walked again. I was still behind her till she entered in a park. I went down from my car and headed towards the park too and hide behind a bush. She sat on the grass leaned against a tree and started her meal she seemed to enjoy her food while rubbing her belly. She was always a great eater and I guess it didn't work out with the pregnancy,curious that it is not amplified. Once she finished, she took off her shoes and started to massage her feet she was tired of standing up all day I think. I stopped myself to run to her and take care of her but no I hate her. I hate her from the bottom of my heart. She is a cheater a cheap person without morality she hide her true face for years but in the final I am happy now that I find the truth even if it hurts like hell. I glanced at her again and she was walking to the exit of the park I didn't follow her this time I just sat on the grass thinking about that cursed day.

Flashback

"Tanya do you finished with the financial report"

"Not yet I am working on it"

"Please I need it as soon as possible we have to be sure about the situation of this company before buy it"

"Yes sure" She replied and then Erin entered holding me a brown envelope

"I received this for you Mr Robertson"

"Ok thank you Erin"

I took the envelope "urgent" was written on it .I frowned and opened it what I saw let me without voice, I couldn't believe my eyes. There were photos where Elissa was kissing and hugging a man. My hands started shaking I couldn't control them anymore I felt my heart pounding faster. I kept staring to the photos I just heard Tanya calling me

"Adrian Adrian are you fine"

I couldn't reply I looked at her and to the photos unable to speak or anything. She came around my desk put her hand on my shoulder trying to make me react. She looked to the photos and I heard her gasp putting a hand on her mouth. She was shocked just like me.

"Oh my god" she said

I managed to get back on my feet and I saw a USB key I inserted it in my laptop and a video started and again Elissa appeared in action with the same man. This couldn't be true, Eliissa couldn't do this to me she loves me there was an explanation. Suddenly Tanya said

"Adrian look it can be true Elissa wouldn't do this"

"Where these come from?"I asked but more for myself

"It's certainly false she loves you ,don't doubt Adrian"

"How can I don't doubt when I see this" I said and got up

"Wait where are you going"

"At home I must ask my wife about this"

"You can't go in this state and you have to be sure about these photos before asking her or you will just hurt her and create a big problem between you"

"How can I found out?" I said pulling my hair I felt like I will become crazy

"I think I have a way to check it"

"How?" I asked

"I know somebody specialist in rigging, I work with him to check the reliability of some companies, if you want I will call him now"

"Yes please do that"

"Ok" She replied and made the call while I was making prayers so that all this is wrong

"He is coming in 20 minutes he said" Tanya informed me "So relax I am sure all this is a bad joke" She added.

Twenty minutes later the man came

"Good afternoon Tanya" The man said

"Hello Chris let me introduce you... my best friend Adrian and Adrian this is Chris Morane "

"Hello and thank you for coming" I said shaking his hand

He nodded and started his work checking the photos by putting them in the scanner connected to his laptop and then proceeded with the video I couldn't wait anymore so I asked him

"Then?"

He looked at me and to Tanya with sorry eyes without speaking a word. I lost my temper and yelled

"Speak for God sake!!!"

"I am sorry Adrian but these photos are not falsified"

"What... are you sure"

"I would like to say the opposite but unfortunately I would lie" Chris said

I felt betrayed I felt an immense anger and started to scream; cry and ransacked my office. Tanya tried to stop me but I was uncontrollable. My heart was bleeding and it broke in a million pieces. After some time I picked myself up, I dried my tears took these photos my keys and run to my car. I sped up to my house and confronted her but of course she denied it but I couldn't trust her anymore for me she is a cheater a liar. When I throw her out of my house I burnt these cursed photos to never see them again I slid down the wall unable to stay upright anymore and cried for hours.

Flashback end

It was the worst day of my life from this day my life was like suspended.

"Why Elissa why? We could have been the happiest in the world" I said letting my tears for her falling for the last time.
