《Love In Hell (D.D.)》1.27 "Shut Them Down!"

I was sitting in one of the cars and drove it on the field inside.
I drove the window down when Dad walked to the car "Where do you want it?"
Dad "To the west entrance"
I nodded and parked it by the west entrance.
Then I got out of the car and walked back to the others "We could use some help from Glenn and Maggie"
Daryl pointed at the guard tower "They're up in the guard tower"
Dad froze confused "guard tower? They were just up there last night"
Daryl yelled up "Glenn! Maggie!"
Glenn opened the door upstairs.
He was shirtless and fixing his pants.
Glenn yelled down "Hey! what's up, guys?"
I smirked.
Daryl yelled up"You comin'?"
I giggled.
Glenn yelled down confused "What?!"
Dad, Carol, me and T-Dog chuckled.
Daryl yelled "You comin'?!"
Glenn had no idea what he meant.
Daryl yelled"Come on, we could use a hand!"
Glenn yelled back "yeah, we will be right out"
We turned around and walked to the gate.
Suddenly T-Dog stopped us "Hey, Rick!"
We turned around and we saw the two inmates on the fence of their area. Oscar and Axel.
I looked at Dad. He was pissed off.
We walked to them.
Dad stopped them "That's close enough. We had an agreement"
Axel "please. We made a deal but you gotta understand, we can't live in that place another minute, you follow me?. All the bodies. People we knew. Blood, brains everywhere. There's ghosts."
Daryl "Then move the bodies out. "
T-Dog "you should be burning them"
Axel"We tried. We did. "
Oscar "The fence is down in our side of prison. Every time we carry a body out these things just line up. Dropping a body and run back inside"
Axel sighed " Look, we had nothing to do with Thomas and Andrew. You try to proof a point? you proofed it, bro. We'll do whatever it take to be a part of your group. Just please, please don't make us live in that place. "
I looked at Dad.
Dad "Our deal is not negotiable. You either live in your cell block or you leave. "

Oscar "I told you this was just a waste of time.you know how many friends corpses we had to drag out this week? you threw them out like - this were good guys. good guys that had our backs against the really bad dudes. like Thomas and Andrew. Now we all made mistakes to get in here, chief. and i'm not gonna pretend to be a saint but leave me we've paid our part. enough that we'd rather hit that road and go back into that shithole."
Dad turned around to look at Daryl. I looked at Daryl. He shook his head. Dad turned back to the two guys.
-------
Daryl had locked them into the part between the two fences and locked the gate. We were standing behind the big truck so that they wouldn't see us.
T-Dog wanted them to live with us.
Dad "Are you serious? You want them to live right next to us?"
I leaned against the door of the flipped over prison bus.
Daryl came and leaned next to me with his side the on the door.
Dad "They are just waiting for a chance to grab our weapons. you-you wanna go back to sleep with one eye open?"
T-Dog shook his head "I never stopped. Bring them in. If we send them off back then we might just execute them ourselves. "
Glenn shook his head "No, Axel seems a little unstable"
Carol "after all we've been through, we worked so hard for all this, what if they decide to take it?"
Maggie sighed "It's just been us for so long. They're strangers. It feels weird having other people around us. "
T-Dog looked at her "You brought us in"
Maggie nodded "yeah but you turned up with a shot boy in your arms. We had no choice"
Glenn "They can't even kill walkers. "
T-Dog "these two might have less blood on their hands than we do"
Daryl suddenly jumped in "I get guys like this. Hell,i grew up with them. They ain't saint but they ain't psychos. I can talk to them just as easy i'm with you guys. "

T-Dog "So you with me?"
Daryl shook his head "Hell, no. Let them take their chances out on the road just like we did. "
T-Dog "All what i'm saying, Daryl, -"
I walked back to the two guys and took a quick look at them. Dad was talking but i didn't understand anything. Suddenly i felt someone grab my upper am and shove me back to my old spot.
Me "I'm with Daryl"
T-Dog looked at me"Why?"
I took a deep breath "Because i have experience with guys who were in jail. I don't need that again. We've been through so much"
Dad nodded in agreement.
Glenn, Dad and Daryl walked to the gate. T-Dog just stood there looking at nothing. He had that look on his face.
---------
We made our way to the prison.
Daryl threw his keys to Glenn who caught them.
Dad "Move the cars to the upper yard, point them face out. They will be outta way and ready to go then we need to leave. We'll get the prisoners. With supliese for a week on the road"
T-Dog shook his head "they won't last a week"
Dad "Their choice"
T-Dog "Did they have one?"
I walked with Daryl on the front.
Daryl nudged me on the side "Ken"
I looked at him "what?"
Daryl raised an eyebrow "Experience with ex-prisoners?"
I shrugged "Why not?"
He nodded. We walked outta the gate. T got in one car and Daryl on his bike. I saw Axel talking to Daryl. They were too far away to make out what.
When they drove in Glenn and i closed the gate, leaving Axel and his friend out between the gates.
Dad, Daryl, Glenn and i made our way to the cut in the fence while the others were moving the cars. I opened the slit and the boys climbed outside.
The guys went outside to get firewood. I kept my sword in my cell. I haven't been in the cellblock since the fight with Carl. I haven't seen Beth, Mom, Carl and Hershel since that day.
All i have now are my knifes and my gun.
The guys came and i held the slit open. Daryl, Dad and Glenn climbed back inside. I looked at the prison and saw that the door to our cellblock was open. Mom, Hershel, Carl and Beth walked out.
Glenn "That's one son of a bitch"
I chuckled.
Glenn yelled "Alright, Hershel!"
Daryl shhd him "keep your cheers down. "
He pointed at the walkers on the other side of the fence.
Glenn breathed out annoyed "oh man, can we just have one free day?"
I looked at Dad and saw him looking at Mom. suddenly i saw walkers behind them coming out of the prison.
My jaw dropped "oh my god"
Dad "no"
We started to run to the fence.
I took my gun out.
Dad yelled "Get outta there! no! Lori! Carl! come here!"
We were by the gate but it was locked.
Dad "Keys"
Daryl threw them to Dad. Dad opened it. We were on the side of Axel's area. Dad opened the other gate.
We ran through the field inside.
I took my knife out. We all began to kill walkers. I was going to say something but got cut off by the alarm.
We looked around.
Daryl "what the fuck is that? You gotta be kidding me"
I looked outside.
Walkers were coming.
Dad threw Daryl the keys out "Daryl!"
Daryl caught them.
Dad and Glenn shot the speakers but nothing.
We ran with the other two into our cellblock.
I yelled"Carl! Mom!"
Then I looked around but nothing.
I ran upstairs and took my knife out .
Daryl yelled"Ken!"
I ran downstairs "Where are they?"
Glenn "they must have been pushed back in the prison"
Dad was pissed off "Somebody is playing games! We'll split up and look for the others. Whoever gets to the generators first, Shuts them down!"
We ran back out and to the generator room.Daryl and i tried to hold the door shut while Dad and Oscar tried to fight them off.
Suddenly one of the prisoners showed up with an axe. It was the mexican. He attacked Dad.
i yelled "Dad!"
Daryl "help him!"
I pushed my back against it the door "you won't be able to hold it for long"
Daryl pressed out "take the crossbow"
I nodded.
Then I took the crossbow and shot the mexican in the head. he fell dead to the ground.
Me "Let's turn that damn thing off"

The 8th Day
One day life is good. The next day it isn't! The boundaries between... well, whatever they're between.. have shattered! Monsters burst out from cracks in the universe, and reality suddenly begins to function similar to a game -- but not a game that anyone knows all the rules about! Magic is suddenly real, but so are monsters and death! Lots of death! And the worst part of it all? I think we did it to ourselves! We invented video games, and personally I think that great Finger-in-the-Sky picked up a console somewhere and started playing them. Since He liked what he saw, he must've declared, """"On the 8th Day, let there be Game!"But what do I know about it all, really. After all, I'm just """"The Witness"""" forced to observe it all.__________________________________________________________________________Author's Note: There's a lot of tales where characters get stuck in a Virtual Reality. """"Sword Art Online"""", """"Log Horizon"""", """"The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor"""". This is a story told with the premise inverted -- instead of a person from reality going into a virtual world, what would happen if the virtual world instead came to reality?I want this tale to speak about the aspects of the game, as it has affected the current reality, but the focus of the story should never be on the """"reality-turned-game"""" itself, but on the characters and their oh-so-human struggles, personalities, and attempt to adjust and live within the bounds of their new existence. Hopefully this won't just be a story of """"reality turned into a game"""", but instead will be something more meaningful such as a story of the strengths, perseverance, and humanity of man-kind as they try to adapt and face the unknown.*** And, most importantly, I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it. ***WARNING: RATED MATURE M[18+] FOR GORE, SEX, VIOLENCE. The apocalypse isn't a pretty place to try to survive in, and neither is every scene in a story trying to describe it.

Majority Rule
Readers choose from a selection of options for participants of a survival game show known as "Can Anyone Beat Level 10?". Each level has some monsters to kill and a boss at the end. Treasure chests and traps are available. Treasure chests, if opened successfully, give decent weapons, first aid kits, etc. If unsuccessful, treasure chests will either explode, taking some health from player or do become permanently closed. Monsters in dungeon levels depend on the theme of the week. This game show occurs on the first week of every month. The game just showed up out of nowhere and many people were interested in it as they attended the live version of the show. As for its mysteries...well, who knows? Maybe someone will solve them some day. But, for now, let the games begin! This is a story that depends on the votes of the viewers using the poll system. I will probably wait a week or so per poll in order to accumulate enough votes. After the week is up, viewers can still vote but it won't affect the story. This is my first interactive fiction so it might not be on par with the better ones. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed reading this story. Thanks.
