"Come on bud, no hard feelings... right?" Toothless flapped his wings and jumped onto Hiccup, who fell over laughing. But Toothless stopped licking his face and stood up, looking around and sniffing the air. "Huh, what's up Toothless?" The Night Fury suddenly took off towards the forest. Hiccup stood up and began running after his best friend. "Wait Toothless!" The two were at The Edge, along with Astrid and Stormfly, Fishlegs and Meatlug, Snotlout and Hookfang and the twins, Ruffnut and Tuffnut and their dragon Barf and Belch.
Toothless stopped at a giant tree and glared at the shiny thing that stood on a branch. A fellow dragon? Toothless tilted his head and softly growled at the creature. It slowly looked at him and kept quiet. "Toothless! What are you.." Hiccup finally caught up with his dragon but stopped as soon as he saw the shiny creature. It stopped moving when it saw Hiccup. "Woah, who is that?" He watched as Toothless slowly tried to approach the dragon but it growled softly, which made Toothless stop. "Where are you?!" The colourful dragon flinched and started looking around. Toothless got his guard up again and so did Hiccup, who mounted his dragon and got into a defensive position. 'I don't recognise that voice, who was that?! It wasn't Astrid or Ruffnut.'
Toothless growled protectively as the person's steps got near. "Come on girl, we gotta go. I saw some people here. Not good." The colourful dragon quickly jumped up and flew into the bushes. Hiccup and Toothless watched in confusion as they listened to them talk. "You scared me there for a second. You gotta stop doing that." The two heard a roar and more rustling. "What is it Zipp?" 'Zipp?' Toothless slowly approached the bush and jumped in, trying to tackle whoever to the ground, but they were gone.

"Zipp, why is that so familiar... wait..." Hiccup got off Toothless and inspected the footprints that the person left behind. 'That's a person, some hoofprints too and... two kinds of dragons.' Hiccup stood up and walked over to the dragon footprints.
"Come here bud... these look familiar." As Toothless walked over Hiccup glanced at the footprints that dragon left in the ground.
"Wait is that-" He quickly compared the two. "A Night Fury..?"

Just a few warnings before you read the novel, so you won't be disappointed. First of all, as you can probably tell, I took more than a few ideas from pokemon and the like. It's almost impossible to write a novel where creatures (Iferes) have a major part in, and not relate it to pokemon. However, as you will see as the novel goes on, I tried (and I think I succeeded) in making a universe of my own. I am sure you will like it. Secondly, compared to pokemon, my novel is a lot darker, as you probably noticed by the synopsis. I also try to give a wild west vibe to it, if you know what I mean. Thirdly, you should check out my fanfic Broke: A Clone Wars Tale. Biased as I am towards it, I think it's a great story, and so do many of my readers. It will also give you a glance at what writing style to expect. Fourth and last, I feel like it's only fair that I tell you I am a student. As much as I love writing, my main priority will always be my studies. After all, writing is just a hobby for me, at least for now (fingers crossed). As such, there probably will be interruptions in the release schedule here and there, but, if you followed me on my other novel, you will know I rarely missed an upload, and, when I did, I always made up for it.
