"Now, Zipp!" She fired at the beast and we flew by it. "Get my dad." I heard the giant roar in annoyance and I noticed Gobber and the Chief of Berk on the ground. I quickly stopped Zipp and turned us around. "Change of plans. We save them first!" I noticed that another shot was fired at the dragon Queen and realised the rest of the teens were here. Zipp flew by the Chief and Gobber and picked them up. One of them behind me and the other in her talons. "I got you, you two." I heard Gobber cackle from bellow. "Woohoo! This is crazy!" We flew away from the dragon and I set them down. I helped the Chief get off of Zipp. We quickly joined the air again. "Now we find him."
I quickly did, so we flew over to him and Zipp picked him up with her claws. "Put me down this instant!" I shook my head and flew him over to the rest of the vikings of Berk, further away from the dragon Queen. "I would like a instead." Zipp set him down and he glared at me for a second, fear in his eyes. I shook my head and scratched Zipp's neck. "Up, Zipp. Up." She flew into the sky again and we finally joined the rest of the kids. "Well, nice of you to join us again, Y/n." I shook my head and flew above them. "As I said, I had things to take care of." Hiccup looked over to Fishlegs. "Alright, Fishlegs, break it down!" "OK, heavily armoured skull and tail made for bashing and crushing! Steer clear of both. Small eyes, large nostrils! Relies on hearing and smell!" Hiccup nodded.
"Okay, Lout, Legs! Hang in it's blind spot, make some noise, keep it confused! Y/n, keep everyone bellow save. You were able to keep up with Toothless and Zipp loves fetch, so rescue anyone! Ruff, Tuff, find out if it has a shot limit! Make it mad!" Ruffnut smirked. "That's my specialty!" "Since when?! Everyone knows I'm more irritating! See?" I heard Hiccup groan. "Just do what I told you! I'll be back as soon as I can!" He took off towards the boats, to rescue Toothless. "Right, go everyone!" We all dispersed and got to work. I immediately saw a viking about to get stepped on. "Zipp fire!" She fired at the Queens leg and it retrieved, giving us time to catch the poor viking and take it back to the others. I saw Fishlegs fall to the ground along with his Gronckle and we flew to them. I jumped off of Zipp and helped Fishlegs get up, while Zipp helped his Gronckle. "Woah.. thanks." I flashed him a quick smirk and jumped back onto Zipp. I heard a familiar roar and looked behind us. "Hiccup got Toothless! Come on." Fishlegs nodded and mounted his Groncle. We flew away from the Queen and heard a shot. The vikings gasped in awe yet fear. "Night Fury!" "Get down!"

I watched as he attacked the Queen again. This time, making it fall over. It slowly got up and spread it's wings. 'Oh Thor... it can fly.' I jumped off of Zipp and stood next to her, her wing wrapped around me protectively as she growled. We all watched, horrified, as the dragon flew up and followed Toothless and Hiccup. "If you die I will definitely kill you, Hiccup." They flew into the sky, hidden in the storm clouds. I felt a hand on my shoulder and Zipp growled. I turned my head and saw my father next to me. "Y/n." I gulped and continued to watch the sky, flashing from Toothless's plasma shots. "Father." I heard him sigh and he spoke. "Thank you. For saving me. And I'm sorry." I slowly looked towards him, Zipp seemed to ease up. "I shouldn't have said that. I couldn't be a prouder father, and I couldn'task for a better daughter." I sighed and took his hand in mine. "It's okay dad. I spoke out of terms too. You know, about mom..." He squeezed my hand as we watched the giant suddenly fly down. "Do you think your mother would forgive me?" I looked away from the giant dragon as it collided with the ground and a giant explosion erupted. "I think she already has." He looked at me too and smiled again. A real smile this time. "I think she'd be even more proud of you, than me, Y/n." I looked back in the direction of the place where the giant dragon collided with the ground, the fire was replaced by smoke. "I think she'd be proud of the both of us."
'Hiccup.' I let go of my father's hand and ran behind the chief. 'Where's Hiccup?!' I saw the Chief fall to his knees before Toothless. "Oh no.." The saddle was empty and Hiccup was nowhere to be seen. I felt Zipp gently push me forward, she felt attached to the Night Fury, of course she wants to make sure he's okay too. I slowly walk towards him. "Hey, Toothless." He slowly opened his eyes and purred. Zipp ran up to him and softly nudged him. He growled and slowly uncovered a figure with his wing. I smiled and ran up to Zipp. "Oh my gods..." Zipp wagged her tail and sat down beside Toothless. I heard the Chief gasp. He immediately ran up to his son and hugged him. "Hiccup!" He quickly checked his heart and I saw him smile. "Oh.. he's alive. You brought him back alive." That's the first time I heard Stoick be... well, not stoick. His voice broke as he thanked Toothless. "Thank you, for saving my son." I just stood there, amazed, grateful, happy. 'He's okay...' Vikings cheered and laughed as they found out that he's okay. "Well, you know... most of him." I tilted my head at Gobbers comment and glanced at Hiccup. 'Oh.'

I yawned as I set down the last bag. "Is that all of it, Y/n?" I nodded and hummed. "Good gal, now go and settle in then." I smiled and walked over to my house, the egg was next to the lit torch. I smiled as it seemed to look brighter than before. "When do you think it will hatch?" I looked behind me and shrugged. "I'm not sure, but I plan to keep my promise." Suddenly a certain dragon tackled me to the ground and I laughed. "Why hello, Zipp." My dad laughed too and helped me get up. "Follow me, Hiccup might be waking up soon. Doesn't hurt to check on him." I smiled as Zipp followed behind us.
Berk took on a whole new look. I had to help with most of the preparation and building and designing, and admittedly, it was kind of difficult without Hiccup to give me some ideas. I sighed as Zipp zoomed over to Hiccup's house. "Zipp, wait for us girl!" I jogged up to her. Suddenly I heard people cheering. "Hiccup!" "It's Hiccup!" I smiled and Zipp started wagging her tail. Without hesitation she picked me up and flew over the crowd. "Woah girl!" And she threw me down in front of him. "What was that Zipp?!" I was on my knees and glaring at the dragon that was flying above us, practically grinning. "Hahah... that dragon of yours is really something, Y/n."
My father finally caught up to us and he helped me get up. I brushed myself off and stepped out of the way. Hiccup seemed mesmerised. "Uh, hope you like it. I helped with the designs and... well, the taming." I glanced over Berk, now full of both vikings and dragons living without war. "Yeah it's...wow.." I smiled at him sheepishly and stepped away as Astrid punched him in the shoulder. He shrieked in surprise. "That's for scaring me." "What, is it always going to be this way? Cause-" 'Oh.' She kissed him. "I could get used to it." I sighed and took a deep breath. I quickly but quietly left the crowd, Zipp followed suit. "We need to help our kingdom adjust too, anyway." Zipp whimpered quietly and followed me inside the house. I sat at my bed and she sat beside it. "I mean, now that we have dragons, we need to adjust practically everything, and now that mom is gone we'll need to work a lot harder." I layed my back down and stared at the ceiling. "..and Hiccup.." I heard Zipp move and she layed her head on my stomach and growled softly.
"I know you don't want to leave Toothless, but you'll make so many more friends.. and it's not like we'll never see him again." I softly pet her head and we sat in the silence. 'I wonder how much will have to change. We'll need space for the dragons, and we'll also need way more fish. Space and material. Safety measures for fires and we gotta make sure we research dragons as much as we can.' I closed my eyes. 'I guess this means the engagement with Hiccup isn't gonna...' I sighed again and opened my eyes. 'I'm glad though, Hiccup really seems to like Astrid, and she seems to really like him.' "Ugh-" I yawned and gave up thinking. "This doesn't feel like an ending, does it."
"Are you sure you don't want to stay in Berk?" I nodded and smiled at my dad softly. "Yeah, I can help with the kingdom. I want to help. I can't do that if I stay here." He smiled and turned around. "Well then, say your goodbyes, I'll wait here." I turned to the couple of people at the docks. Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, the twins, Snotlout, the Chief and Gobber. I took a few steps towards them and smiled. "Well uhh... this was pretty fun." I saw Hiccup laugh. "Yeah, especially the part where I almost died." I raised a brow and smirked. "You better stay alive then short stuff." I ruffled his hair and turned to Gobber. "Wanna make another bet?" He laughed and hit me in the shoulder with his hook hand. "So you could make more money? No, thank you." I smiled and sighed. "Well I guess goodbye then." I scratched my neck and turned around. "Wait!" I felt someone collide with my back and wrap their arms around me. "You just love to hug me, huh." I turned around and hugged him back. "See ya, Hiccup." We parted and I left for the boat. "You better visit soon or else I'll fly over there and visit you myself." I grinned at the boy and chuckled. "Maybe you could do that. All of you, by the way.. come on Zipp!" The dragon flew over to us and landed on the boat. She wagged her tail and roared at Toothless, who was sitting behind Hiccup and also wagging his tail. I scratched her and waved with my other hand. "Bye everyone!" Toothless roared and tackled Hiccup. 'I'll miss you all.'

On the second jump, Claire's bad leg gave way and she felt herself tumbling forward. A cry of surprise escaped her and Claire was certain she was about to topple off the side of the train. Alek, however, moved quickly, catching her mid-fall and keeping her upright, and alive. Claire lifted her eyes to meet his which were wide with alarm. The expression was fleeting, lasting for only a moment before it was replaced by a frown. "You could have fallen," he said pointedly."I know," Claire breathed, finding her thoughts drifting to the strong arm wrapped around her waist. A flush rose to her cheeks and she was grateful for the biting wind that masked her reaction. "Thank you.""You need to be more careful," he continued, his eyes locked on hers, bright and haunting in the silver glow of the moon overhead."I will," Claire assured him, her heart skipping in her chest. "I promise."------1st Place in the Chaos Awards2nd Place in the Mystic Awards2nd Place in the Stella Luna Awards2nd Place in the Talent Awards 2018Highest Ranking #1 In SteampunkFound on the official Wattpad Fantasy account featured reading list "Wintery Worlds"
