*Melanie's POV*

We were currently on the plane to Volterra, Italy. Goodness, if my heart was still beating I bet it would beat right out of my chest. I was sitting next to my brother, David. The captain had just announced we would be there in five minutes. "Nervous?" David asked me.

"Me? Nah." That was a total lie though.

"Of course she is nervous David!" Clarisse came from behind us.

"Shut it Clarisse." I muttered crossing my arms.

They laughed a bit. I took a breath and let it out.

We soon landed in Volterra, Italy. We got a luggage and walked around for a bit until we saw a Volturi guard. I think his name is Felix? I don't know and I'm most certainly was not going to ask...

"Are you Melanie Nightshade?" He asked. I nodded. "Follow me then." He said. We did as told. I would not let go of my brother's hand for nothing.

He led us to a black car. He opened the door for us and we got in. "Ooo, this is the fanciest car I've been in!" Josie commented. I smiled a little at her enthusiasm.

The car began to move. I took another unneeded breath, I was nervous as hell. That was for certain. I think Clarisse noticed because she put an arm around me.

We soon arrived to the palace. Felix got out and opened the door for us. We got out and stared at the castle, it was elegant. Felix made his way to the door and opened it for us.

"Merci." Clarisse thanked him, I could see him smile when she said that though. My brother glared at him, putting an arm around her.

He told us to follow him again to the throne room. We did, even though Josie tried to back away, but I just grabbed her hand comfortingly. We saw a human at a desk and I looked at her curiously. She rolled her eyes and spun her chair around. I shrugged and looked forward again. We stopped at two tall doors. "Before you go in," Felix began. "there are some rules. One, don't speak unless spoken too. Two, don't look at them in the eye. And three, you must have perfect posture."

He then opened the doors and we walked in. First thing I saw was Jane. We made eye contact for a split second and looked away from each other. Well, at least I looked away from her, but she kept staring at me.

"Ah, well isn't it the Nightshade Coven." A voice said. I knew it was Aro, he had that sickingly sweet tone in his voice.

We stood there, Josie was staring at the floor. She was scared, I could understand why after all.

"Which one of you is Melanie?" I swallowed and took a step forward.

"I am, Sir. Aro." I said to him. He walked down to me and held out his hand. I put my hand in his and he closed his eyes, reading my mind.

"Ah, I see you and your brother have lived interesting lives."

Me and David looked at one another. "I guess we have." I said.

He then went to Clarisse who reluctantly gave her his hand. After Clarisse, he went to David. Aro basically saw the same thing he saw with me. He then went to Josie, Josie gave him his hand. She didn't dare look at him though.

Aro gave us that creepy smile that I hate and then went back to his throne. "Jane and Alec will be escorting you to your chambers." Aro said. We nodded. Jane and Alec, who I assumed was her her brother based off the similarities between them, told us to follow them. Not wanting to stay there any longer, we did as told.
