*Melanie's POV*

So tomorrow, me and my coven are going to Italy. It took some convincing, especially with Josie, but they all agreed to go. To be honest, I was half happy but also half disappointed that they agreed to it so easily. I guess I was just looking for an excuse to not go. I sighed quietly. I was still packing my stuff in my room when Josie knocked on the door. Before I could respond she walked in and sat on my bed. "I don't wanna go!" She complained.

I shrugged a bit. "If we're being honest, I don't want to either."

"Great, I'll got tell David." She got off the bed and was about to leave until I grabbed her arm. "What? I thought you said you didn't want to go."

"I did, but at the same time I do... my emotions are all over the place right now." I said, sitting down.

"Wanna talk about it?" She sat down next to me.

"I'm excited to go because I'm going to see my mate, frightened because the Volturi is scary, nervous because what if they try to recruit us? We can't say no or else we'll die. I'm also feeling sad because I'm not with her! Ugh! I only met her a week ago and our fucking connection is so strong and I loathe it!" I complained, flopping backwards on my bed, staring at the ceiling. "But I also love it at the same time..."

Josie laid next to me. "I know but you have to understand that it will all be okay in the end."

I nodded. Josie got up. "I need to go finish packing. I mean after all, we'll be there for a week." She exited my room and I sighed.

This will be the longest week of my 194 years of living...
