《Trust Me (Daryl Dixon x OC)》{3}

We all stood leaning against the edge of the building looking down at the city below which was covered in walkers. "God. It's like Times Square down there." Andrea said as I walked over to Rick.
"How are you doing brother?" He was holding his wrist, most likely hurt it from socking Dixon in the face.
"I'll be fine." He responded gently, rubbing out her wrist.
"How's the signal?" I heard Morales ask T-dog.
"Like Dixon's brain- weak." I giggled at T-dogs comment. Merle just flipped him off.
"Keep trying." Morales said. I could tell her was looking for some hope. Or something to help us all get off the roof and not end up as dinner.
"Why? There's nothing they can do." Andrea said. I could tell she was the pessimistic one of the group. I looked at Rick and he looked at Morales and before we could ask our questions he answered them.
"We got some people outside the city. There's no refugee center. That's a pipe dream." I scuffed.
"If you were looking for a refuge center I could have told you that. Took me almost a week to clean the place out. I didn't have much but I took what I needed." They all looked at me.
"What?" I said since they all were staring at me weird.
"How many times have you been into the city?" I sighed
"I come into the city everyday hoping maybe I could find my family dead or alive. I needed that closer. I have a truck out on the edge of the city in the woods. I sleep there then come right back here." They all gave me a what the fuck look. I rolled my eyes and took a look at the ever growing hoard down below.
They all went back to figuring out how the hell they were going to get out of this.
"Andreas right. We're on our own. It's up to us to find a way out." Rick said as T-dog kept trying to get a signal.

"Good luck with that. These streets ain't safe in this part of town from what I hear." Merle said, trying to crush any hope anyone had. I swear the whole group rolled their eyes at him.
"Ain't that right sugar tits?" Merle said to me.
"You think you're so funny don't you Dixon." I said wishing he would just shut the fuck up.
"Always sweetheart. Why don't you come over here and I can show you just how much fun I can be." I literally puked in my mouth when he said that.
"I think I'll pass, I don't want any cancerous disease you might have." He then looked at Andrea who was sifting through a backpack next to Dixon.
"Hey honeybunch. What you say you get me out of these cuffs, we go off somewhere and bump some uglies. Gonna die anyway."
'Ew this man cannot be fucking serious. He hits on me and now Andrea. Wow he really gets around.'
"I'd rather die." Andrea said I smiled at her and gave her a friendly nod.
"Rug muncher. I figured as much." Her and I rolled our eyes at Merle. We all decided to ignore Merle.
The streets ain't safe." Rick said to Morales.
"Now there's an understatement." He responded.
"Hey Rick, what about under the streets. You know the sewers." Morales looked at me.
"Oh man. Glenn checks the alley. You see any manhole covers." Glenn got up and jogged over to the end of the building. And looked down at the ground and jogged back over to us.
"No must be all out on the street where the geeks are." Jacqui spoke up.
"Maybe not. Old buildings like this built in the '20s big structures often had drainage tunnels into the sewers in case of flooding down in the sub basements." I was blown away.
"How do you know that?" Glenn asked.
"It's my job- was. I worked in the city zoning office." She proceeded to say. We all looked at each other we decided that someone should make sure that Merle doesn't do anything else stupid.

I volunteered to stay back with T-dog as everyone else went to check out the sewer. T-dog was still trying to get a signal. I kept my eye on Merle. He caught me watching him.
"What's wrong doll? Struck with how handsome I am."
"No I'm just trying to figure out how the fuck you haven't been killed yet." I took a step closer to him and kneeled down to him.
"It surprises me that no one has put a bullet between those beautiful eyes." I got up and walked away. Merle was getting on my nerves with these constant inappropriate conversations.
"Come on sugar. You're such a firecracker. Are you this hot in bed too."
"God do you ever stop talking." I yelled at him.
"Why don't you come over here and make me baby."
"Merle, leave her alone. Just ignore him Raven." I sat next to T-dog.
"Thanks T." He nodded and kept trying for the signal. I kept my eye out on the street below.
"Hello? Anybody read? I'm hoping to hear someone's voice 'cause I'm getting sick of hearing mine." T-dog said into the walkie.
"Yeah, well that makes two of us. Why don't you knock that crap off." Merle said to piss off T-dog.
"You're giving me a headache boy."
"Yeah and you're giving us one so we're even." I said. T-dog laughed
"Why don't you pull your head out of your ass. Maybe your headache will go away." Merle chuckled
"Try some positivity for a change. Damn."
"I'll tell you what. You get me out of these cuffs, and I'll be all "Sammy sunshine" positive for you." I rolled my eyes and pulled my rifle over my shoulder and looked down the scope.
"Hey, see that hacksaw over there in that tool bag? Get if for me. Make it worth your while." T-dog stays silent.
"What do you say, man? Come on. Get me out of these things." Merle yanked around the cuffs.
"So you can beat my ass again? Or call me nigger some more?"
"Come on now. It wasn't personal. It's just that your kind and my kind ain't meant to mix. That's all. Don't mean we can't work together." I could tell Merle was pissing off T-dog but he kept going.
"Parley, as long as there's some kind of mutual gain involved. So... about that hacksaw."
"I guess you want me to get that rifle over there too, So you can shoot that cop when he comes back up, huh?" Merle knew at that moment T-dog wasn't going to do shit for him. So he gave up and we all sat there for a moment in silence while T-dog kept trying to get a signal.
"Hey we got another 20 geeks joining in the big hoard on the street." I told T-dog.
"Great" was all he said. We kept waiting for the other to come back.
I was starting to get worried about Rick. I knew he could handle himself but it's the sister in me. Always gotta protect my boys. It's always been that way.
I started to think back to when the 4 of us were in high school. Lori and I never really got along; she was too girly for my taste. I was always a bit more of a tomboy. We all would hangout at parks and get drunk. Till I decided to join the Marines in my senior year. They all seemed proud of me and happy for me. Although Lori seemed more happy that I would be gone for super long periods of time.
When I would come back the boys would be more than happy to have me back. I was snapped out of my pleasant memories when the group came back.
"What did you find?" I asked immediately hoping for good news.
"Nothing, no way out. The geeks just broke through the first set of doors on the lower level." Rick said. We all knew we needed to find a way out but how?

The Twelve
In a world marred by the supernatural, Japan suffers from its own fair share of evil and demonic disasters, with generations of shamans known as Onmyoji protecting their homeland from these forces of evil. Capable of wielding magic and using spirits of their own, these shamans were not only skilled in battle, but also divination. However, they were unable to correctly predict Japan's loss in World War Two, and suffered the punishments that followed. Persecuted and torn apart by infighting, the Onmyoji reunited under the banner of the Tsuchimikado clan, descendants of Abe no Seimei, one of the greatest Onmyoji to ever live. The Onmyoji began to rebuild and to regrow. Ren is the sole heir to the Tsuchimikado family, but has been unable to practice Onmyodo ever since his birth, even though he possesses the greatest ability in the family. But when disaster befalls his family, Ren has nobody to turn to, and no idea how to use his powers. As he journeys to escape the same fate his family faced and attempts to learn how to use his powers, there is only one question on his mind; as the Tsuchimikado heir, how can he save the Onmyoji... from themselves? ---------------------------------------------- note from author: I'm writing this based loosely on the very real theories of Onmyodo, and so my writing may not be a truthful or accurate depiction of Onmyodo or other related areas, such as religion, for instance. That is why, while depicted in the real world, events that happen may seem unrealistic and it may be easier to imagine it as a parallel universe that is the same as ours, but with slight differences so that my possible errors will be easier to overlook. Sorry, and thanks!

After Z
The signs were all there. A mysterious fever spreading in the wake of the pandemic. Increasing incidents of unrest with surprisingly little coverage by the media. Breakdowns in basic services. Nick had thought for years that total social collapse would come in his lifetime – he just never expected that collapse to come from the unquiet dead. As soon as he was sure enough that the potential danger outweighed the awkwardness of admitting that yes, the dead were rising, Nick grabbed his bug out bag and bugged out. It felt, at times, that the zombie movies, comics, and games he’d grown up with had been preparing for this moment. And Nick was right. But also very very wrong. After Z is an apocalyptic occult interactive serial about survivors hiding from the dead in a forest preserve. A new chapter is posted every week, and every week supporters vote on which way the story flows. This story will be added to daily until it's caught up with its current state elsewhere; if you don't want to wait you can read ahead on my blog.
