Dracula burst into a grand ballroom still in his towel with a furious expression on his face. He looked down and noticed his attire and gasped and used his powers to transform back into his usual suit.
Johnny stomped in after him, and (Y/n) nervously scurried in as well.
"I can't believe you two stuck around. You don't get it. Bad things are coming your way."
Dracula grabbed his face and tried to calm down. "I gotta-I gotta get my thoughts together."
He took a few deep breaths. "Okay. You see these tables?"
Dracula gestured to the several tables that were along the walls that were covered in white table cloths.
"You two can spend the entire day pulling them out and placing them, party planners." He sneered.
"Fantastic, we're trapped here. Now I know how Maven feels." (Y/n) muttered.
Dracula sighed deeply and fixed his hair before a loud screeching noise filled the room. It came from Johnny pushing a table along the floor.
"Johnny, hold on a sec-!"
SCREECH!
"Can you just-!"
SCREECH!
"Let me lift the other-!"
SCREECH!
"Stop! Stop! Enough!" Dracula ordered, walking over to Johnny. "Go to a corner, you're in a timeout!"
Johnny gave him an incredulous and angry look."Timeout? I'm a grown man!"
Dracula used his magic to carry Johnny to a corner, put his thumb in his mouth, and make him sit facing the wall.
Dracula then turned to give (Y/n) a warning glare. She got the message and raised her hands in surrender, and walked over to the corner where Johnny was and sat down with her knees to her chest.
"Okay." Dracula clapped his hands twice. "Table 57, please move to position 23."
The table closest to Johnny and (Y/n) suddenly came alive and floated into the air and going to the correct position.
"Woah." (Y/n) whispered.
"That is cool." Johnny commented with his thumb still in his mouth.
"Face the wall." Dracula commanded, spinning them around.
"17 to 48. 16 to 47. 19 to 50."
The tables moved into their correct positions, and Johnny was desperately trying to get his thumb out of his mouth.
"29 to 35. 42 to 18. 10 to 44."
(Y/n) grabbed Johnny's arm and pulled it roughly, and managed to free his thumb.
Johnny and (Y/n) snuck through the tables before climbing on top of one.
"36, up!" Johnny exclaimed.
The table lifted into the air and the sibling gasped at how cool this was. Dracula heard laughing and looked up to see their table gliding around the room.
"31 to 19."
The table flew into the air, colliding with Johnny and (Y/n)'s making them fall off, bouncing against other floating tables before Johnny landed on a grounded one, and (Y/n) landed on top of him.
Dracula smirked at them before turning around. Johnny and (Y/n) smirked themselves.
"24, up!" (Y/n) demanded.
"7 to 25. 14 to 30."
Johnny and (Y/n) flew around a chandelier before speeding towards Dracula. He barely dodged them, and looked surprise before it turned to mischief.

Johnny and (Y/n) looked down at the ground looking for Dracula.
"Oh, where'd you go Grandpa?" Johnny asked mockingly.
"Don't freak out gravity face." Dracula tainted as he appeared upside down on a table.
"Eat our dust, gray fangs!" (Y/n) yelled as she and Johnny sped off.
"56 and 43 to my side." To tables rose on either side of Dracula and they started chasing after the two.
Johnny and (Y/n)'s table twisted and turned around the room, dodging other flying tables, with Dracula and his two minions on their tails.
"Whoo!" Johnny and (Y/n) cheered.
Dracula couldn't help but let out his own laugh. "Prepare to cry, Billy and Brenda backpack!"
Dracula sped forward and stretched out his hands to grab them, but at the last second, the dove down and sideways, sliding up along the rounded ceiling.
"Yeah! That's how we do it! Half-pipe baby!" Johnny yelled.
Once they were facing upright, (Y/n) and Johnny fist bumped.
"What-ever!" Dracula sneered.
...
Quasimodo's rat Esmeralda was sniffing along the floor, Quasimodo sniffing right behind her.
"Yes, keep sniffing." He encouraged the rat.
"You catch the humans, and then I will make human pot pie!" He declared.
...
Johnny and (Y/n) flipped around the room laughing and cheering with Dracula still following behind them.
"27, 45, 65, 76, 48, block their path. Block their path!" Dracula ordered.
(Y/n) and Johnny watched nervously as tables flew past the siblings and made a giant wall in front of them. Dracula laughs triumphantly.
The two turned to look at each other and smiled before jumping and twisting through small gaps between the tables. They jumped along tables on the other side, and landed on one, as they looked back at Dracula.
"Oh, come on now, you two cheated! Nice!" Dracula exclaimed.
He flew towards the table wall and did the exact same thing as Johnny and (Y/n). He bounced along the other tables, eventually he leaped off of one, and noticed that there wasn't another table underneath him.
He began to fall, but Johnny and (Y/n) caught him on their table. "We gotcha Drac!" (Y/n) exclaimed as they burst out of the ballroom doors and down the hall.
The three began to try and playfully knock each other off, as they passed the do not disturb heads, and a witch maid.
They looked ahead and saw a suit of armor rounding the corner, and weren't able to stop in time. The three yelled and hugged each other as they crashed and shattered the suit of armor, and tumbled onto the floor.
Dracula laid on the ground with a huge grin on his face, and he let out a laugh.
"Did you see that?!" He asked, picking up the suit of armor's head. "Who is that guy, Sir Breaks-a-lot?"
He tossed the head away, and wiped away a tear.
"Oh boy, I have to say, that...was fun! Okay?"
He leaned down over a clump covered by the table sheet.
"The fun you two were talking about earlier? Nailed it!"

He grabbed the sheet and lifted it up, but instead of Johnny and (Y/n), it was a pile of armor pieces.
"Johnny? (Y/n)?" Dracula looked around and noticed muddy footprints along the floor.
Dracula clenched his fists. "Quasimodo!"
Dracula used his super speed to follow the trail. He dodged multiple people and objects, and rounded a corner were Maven was walking.
He immediately stopped and looked confused and surprised. "Mavey? Why are you still up? The sun is out. It could kill you, my boy."
"I couldn't sleep. Do you know where (Y/n) went?" He asked.
"Uh...I don't know...she..." Dracula paused and his eyes widened.
He leaned his face very close to Maven's. "Why do you want to know?" He asked suspiciously.
"Oh, uh..."
"Do you like her?" He accused.
"What? Pfft, nooo. Come on, Dad. She's so shy and awkward." He denied.
"It's like, are you a weirdo or do you know you're drop dead gorgeous?" Maven ran a hand through his hair, thinking about the beautiful vampire girl.
Dracula's eyes widened, and he glanced around nervously. "Eh...hold that."
Dracula sped over to a nearby suit of armor. "Do you have a location on Quasimodo?" He whispered.
"Yes sir. He's heading through the lobby, towards the kitchen." The suit reported.
"I need him stopped. Is that clear?" He orders.
"Yes, quite. We are on it."
...
Quasimodo limped through the lobby with Johnny and (Y/n) gagged and tied to his back. Suddenly, multiple suits of armor burst out of the elevators towards Quasimodo.
Quasimodo yelped and ran, dodging their weapons. "Ha ha! Missed!" He taunted.
Quasimodo ran for the doorway, but two suits of armor blocked his path.
"What is the meaning of this? Let me pass!" Quasimodo bellowed.
"Quasimodo Wilson, you're coming with us."
He made a grab for Quasimodo, but Quasimodo dodged him and kicked him in the crotch. The suit of armor groaned and fell to the floor.
"Why did that hurt me?" He wondered aloud.
Quasimodo leapt on top of him and climbed up the wall, onto the chandelier.
...
"Look son, there's no falling in love at your age." Dracula said, as he lead Maven away.
"Mom was my age. Eunice says mom kissed you first cause you were too scared to make the first move." Maven smiled slyly.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Forget about me and mom and kissing." Dracula grumbled.
"Dad, at some point I'm going to get married."Maven insisted. 'To (Y/n).' He added in his head. "I can't be here forever!"
"What? Why not? Your barely out of your training fangs." Dracula whined.
...
Dozens of flying gargoyles flew at Quasimodo. He climbed up the chain of the chandelier and onto the ceiling beams. He swung and flipped around them dodging spears and the flying gargoyles. He jumped down through the web the spiders made for Maven.
He landed on the ground and saw the gargoyles coming at him on one side and the suits of armor coming from the other side.
Quasimodo ran towards the armor and ran on top of their heads, kicking them off into the gargoyles faces.
He landed in front of the doorway that lead to the kitchen, and laughed triumphantly.
"Ha! Quasi wins again! When you bump with the hump, you land on your rump!" He shook his butt at them for emphasis and ran to the kitchens.
...
"But why the sudden interest?" Dracula asked Maven.
"Every time we used to talk about love, it was always, 'Ooh, dad, that's gross!' And 'Ooh, Dad, I don't want to know about that!' " Dracula imitated.
Maven sighed. "I don't know." He shrugged.
That was a lie. He did know why he was suddenly interested in love. It was because he found someone who he was in love with. And that someone was a beautiful (h/c), (e/c) eyed vampire.
Suddenly, a suit of armor burst into the room. "Sir, he made it into the kitchen."
"He what? What do I pay you for?!" Dracula snapped.
Dracula turned to Maven. "I'm sorry, son. I have to go."
Dracula ran out and the suit of armor followed him, but not before muttering something to Maven.
"He doesn't pay me."
...
Quasimodo tied Johnny and (Y/n) to a pole and was roasting them over a fire.
"Before you kill us, can I just talk to my backpack one last time? I don't want to leave anything unresolved." Johnny begged.
(Y/n) just rolled her eyes. "Let us go, you big nosed creep!"
The doors burst open and Dracula stood in the doorway.
"Bonjour Monsieur Dracula." Quasimodo greeted.
"Shut your hump hole."
Dracula pushed Quasimodo out of the way, put the fire out and grabbed Johnny and (Y/n).
"Now you are helping them? What is it with you and these humans?" Quasimodo asked.
"They are not human! He's a Stein, and she's a vampire!" He snapped.
"That's right little man, I'm a Stein!" Johnny agreed.
"If they are monsters, let them scare Esmeralda!" Quasimodo challenged, gesturing the rat sitting on a barrel.
"The mouse? Pfft! Without a doubt." Dracula scoffed.
"Okay, here we go..." Johnny walked over to Esmeralda and started making faces.
"Blargh! Bleegh! Blargy-bliggy-blargh!"
Esmeralda didn't even flinch. She just squeaked. That squeak made Johnny scream, and back up into (Y/n), and they fell on the ground.
"Humans! Humans!" Quasimodo screamed, leaping and swinging around the kitchens.
"Monsieur Dracula has brought humans into the-!"
Dracula used his magic to freeze Quasimodo in place, making him fall onto the ground. Dracula, Johnny, and (Y/n) exited the kitchen leaving Quasimodo on the ground.
A gargoyle came into the room and bent one of Quasimodo's hands so it looked like he was picking his nose, and left.

Unless, of course, the Tyrant King gets to him first …Hey everyone, so as most of you know, I write books for a living, and I just put this title up on Amazon (and enrolled it in KU). Because KU requires exclusivity as part of their terms of service, I have had to pull the majority of the content from this site. I left the full novel up for as long as possible, so I hope everyone got a chance to read it. If you haven't had a chance to read it in its entirety (sorry!) you can pick it up on Amazon. Thanks again for coming on this journey with me, and I so hope you enjoyed it. The book will be out on Tuesday July 24th. Best, James Hunter

Dalton was always a nice place. Always had been. When that new couple moved here, we were all ecstatic. They were wealthy, but not arrogant, always willing to help out their neighbors. All around the perfect kind of migrant. They brought a child with them. Jacob. He was beautiful, just like his parents. He had his mother's beautiful hair, and his father's beautiful eyes. But he was different. He wasn't social, or nice, like his parents. He mainly kept to himself. Until one day he didn't. Strange tales, of the boy running around the neighborhood at night started to pop up. Of sacrificing children and dark rituals. The average person dismissed it as just that, rumors. But those of us that had seen the boy, knew the truth. His eyes were no longer the deep, vibrant color of his father. They were the green of rot, his skin the color of a corpse. The devil had taken the boy, and, like a disease, he was spreading his curse.
