Clove sobbed. "Oh Cato, what are we going to do?"
"We'll work something out." He said quietly and pressed his forehead against Clove's gently.
"This is the last day. We don't have time to work something out. In a few hours we could be dead, babe!" Tears streamed down Clove's eyes.
"Hey, we're careers, we are stronger than this!" Cato told her firmly.
"Then I'm not meant to be here. I shouldn't have come."
"You are strong, Clove," Cato said.
"Not without you. You made me strong, Cato." Clove stared into his beautiful blue eyes.
Cato kissed her lips gently. "Come on Clove, it's time to sleep."
Clove shook her head. "I can't. I can't watch you die again!"
"Again?" Cato frowned slightly. "Oh.. Right." He said quietly.
"I can't. Not even in a dream." Clove looked down.
Cato stroked her cheek with the back of his hand.
Clove stopped his hand and held it tight, trying to keep her eyes open.
Cato kissed the tip of her nose gently.
"Just try to sleep, please?"
A single tear fell from Clove's eye as she nodded her head and closed her eyes. "If that's what you really want me to do, I will."
"You need to rest." Cato murmured and cuddled closer to her.
Clove held Cato's back and drifted off.

About an hour later Cato woke up.
Clove was already awake. She had seen Cato's lips removed, followed by his eyes taken out, then his ears ripped off, and then his throat slit by Katniss. She had woken up in a panic and sworn to do the same to Katniss if she ever got the chance.
Cato sat up and rubbed his eyes.

Clove smiled at him. "Good morning."
"Morning." He smiled groggily.
"Sleep well?" Clove asked.
"Mmhm been better." Cato answered. "What about you?"
"Had a bad dream in the first few minutes. Haven't slept since. I'm ok though." Clove lied. She was still so tired.
"Aw." Cato pulled her into a gentle hug.
Clove returned the hug and looked at the clock. 6:30. She had heard rumours that they were woken at 7:00. There was half an hour left. She kissed Cato lightly.
Cato kissed her back softly.
Clove smiled, trying not to think about The Games.

Cato wrapped a small blanket around Cloves shoulders.
Clove looked into Cato's eyes. "Thank you." She whispered.
Cato smiled slightly and sat behind her, wrapping hi arms around Clove gently.
Clove closed her eyes and tried to rest without falling asleep, happy in Cato's arms.
Cato stroked her hair gently.
Clove drifted of, only to wake herself up by screaming a few minutes later.
Cato had drifted off, he woken up. "Crap!"
Clove tried to stop shaking. "Sorry babe."
"It's okay. Are you all right?"
Clove blinked away tears. "Yeah, just another nightmare. I'll be ok."
Cato sighed and held her close.
Clove snuggled in to Cato's warm body, trying to forget all the things she had seen in her nightmare.
Cato didn't want to be disturbed at all.
Clove looked at the clock. Fifteen more minutes. She held Cato closer, wanting to make the most of the little time they had left.
Cato kissed her cheek gently.
Clove kissed Cato's lips passionately, knowing that she could probably never do it again.

The System Slaves
Heroes selected from all races competed to prove their race worthy of living free. The Troll heroes failed... miserably. Their Race is paying the price. Most Trolls lost their sentience. This Troll did not, and now he must serve the system and try to prove his race worthy of redemption. Thing is, it's hard to save a race when you can't understand the squiggles that appear in your vision. It's even harder to save a race when you can't tell which thoughts are yours and which thoughts the system put in your head. And what do you do when you never loved Trollkind in the first place? .......................... Update Schedule: Two or more chapters a month. 1500+ words. I am a new writer so bear with me, correct my grammar, and point out things you want to add. I plan on finishing, it may take a while though. The cover isn't mine and isn't exactly the way I like it, I'll be on the lookout for something that fits better. ....... This is a Litrpg story, I kinda regret making it so, but what's done is done. The system is clunky and I forget stuff sometimes, don't hesitate to point out stuff that looks wrong or is wrong. There will be some cultivation aspects and some kingdom building later on.
