《Looed and Lost You 》_Chapter Twenty-six: Want to have a sleepover?_

For the past two days, I have been trying not to talk to Gabriel. I've been trying to avoid him. I was angry at him.

But for what? I mean he did lie to me. He left me.

But he left to keep me safe. He lied so I could be happy.

So why be angry?

I want to forgive him so badly. I want things to go back to the way it was. But that can't happen. We've both changed.

A knock on the door snapped me out of my trance. "Come in." The door opened to show off none other the Gabriel. "I was just checking to see if you were alright..." I nod.

"Yeah...I'm fine." I looked back out my window. Gabriel sighs and goes to leave.

"Actually. I'm not." I look back to him. He stops and opens the door more.

"I'm not 'fine' or 'alright'. I'm angry, Ang-Gabriel." He nods in understanding.

"I know...and you have every right to hate me."

"No-urg- I don't hate you. I don't even know why I'm angry at you!" Gabriel walked into the room and closed it softly behind himself. "...would you like me to make a list?" I rolled my eyes.

"No..." I huffed and sat down on my bed. Running my hands through my hair I looked over to him.

"W-was it me?" Gabriel looked at me confused.

"What?"

"Did you leave to keep me safe or...because of me."

"What?" Gabriel asked eyes narrow. "Why would you ever think that?"

"Well, for one, you're an angel. An archangel. What would you want with me in the first place? And I can't help but wonder-if it was me."

Gabriel walked over and knelt down in front of me. "I don't want you to think that ever again. I left because of you yes. But to keep you safe. Those angels want to kill you. The Demons. They want to use you," He stayed quiet for a while.

"And you make yourself sound like just another human. Cansas, you are so much better than what you think. I saw that you were going to turn out to be the greatest demon/ human child ever." I chuckled as my eyes watered up.

"And plus. You were a pretty cool kid to hang around." I let out a laugh and looked at him. A tear running down my cheek. "I'm such a girl." I wiped my cheek with the palm of my hand. Gabriel hesitantly placed a hand on my cheek. I placed a hand over his. "You're my girl." I smiled and attacked him in a hug which resulted with me sitting on the ground.

"I missed you so much, Angel."

"I missed you more, Candy Cane."

We stayed like that for a while before we pulled apart. I looked down and picked at the carpet. "So...you want to have a sleepover?" I asked looking up slightly. Gabriels face light up brightly.

"Do I?" This made me smile.

"I'll get the snacks you set up the tent!" Gabriel said getting up and rushing out of the room. I got up with a chuckle and pulled the blankets off my bed. Using things like my lamp, chair, and table I started to build the makeshift tent.

By the time I had finished the tent Gabriel came back in the room with his arms full of food and drinks. He placed the snacks on the ground near the entrance. "Are you ready for the grand tour?"

"As ready as I'll ever be." I smiled and crawled in shortly followed by Gabriel. "Now as you can see. My tent building skills have greatly improved over the years." I said gesturing to the tent. "I've been able to make them bigger so that only our feet stick out and not are full bodies."

"Yes. I can see that. The framing has improved as well. Do you think it might hold up?"

"The only thing I can say for certain is that it won't keep falling on us every few seconds." Gabriel nodded his head.

"That's a perk."

"And it has its own built-in tv." I gestured to the computer at the back. "And a place to put our snacks." I pointed over to the tiny corner.

"Very good. I think it will do nicely." He then leaned back and pulled all the snacks into the corner. I turned my computer on and picked up the four movies I owned.

"Alright. We can watch Hairspray, She's the man, Shrek, or Enchanted...these are the only movie I own..." I held them up so he could look.

"And they're very good movies to own. How about...um...She's the man." I smiled and threw the other three to the side. "Good. I've been wanting to watch this one again." As I put the movie in Gabriel snapped his fingers and the lights went out.

The movie started up and I laid down on my stomach. Gabriel did the same. The only thing you could see outside of the tent was our feet and the glow of the computer screen. "You know, the play this is based off,-"

"Twelfth Night." I looked over at him. "Well, I played the fool. In the very first production." My eyes widened.

"No way."

"Yes, way. I still have the tights to prove it."

My inner theater geek exposed inside. "Why didn't you tell me that! That awesome!" I playfully hit him on the arm.

"You never asked." I shook my head with a smile and turned back to the computer.

Three beers, five bags of gummy worms, and four movies later I laid on the ground half asleep half awake.

"Are you sure you can stay up?" I looked over at him.

"Yes. We just need...another movie...and more beer."

"Come on. You know you're tired." He pulled a blanket over me. I rolled onto my side and looked up at him. "Am not." But a yawn betrayed me. Gabriel chuckled shut the computer off.

"Maybe I am...whatever." I pulled the blanket over my shoulders. "Just you have to promise me something."

"Anything."

"You have to promise not to be gone in the morning." Gabriel frowned slightly.

"I'm not leaving anytime soon."
