《Looed and Lost You 》_Chapter Eight: French Angel_

"Loki?!"
The women chuckled and I turned back to her. "W-what are you? I know you're not a demon." I said reaching behind my back to grab my gun.
"You're right. I'm not one of those scum." Thunder boomed and a shadow of two huge wings showed up behind her. They disappeared and I looked back at her.
"Y-you and the other guy...y-your...your angels." She smirked. I pulled my gun out and shot at her. One bullet hit her in the forehead while the other hit her in the chest. She stumbled back a bit and growled.
"You shouldn't have done that." She said as the bullet holes healed. I backed up as a silver blade like thing slipped into the angel's hand. She ran over to me and went to stab me but I kicked her in the stomach. She stumbled back but was unfazed other ways.
She came close to getting me when I punched her in the face. I pulled away fast as searing pain erupted in my hand.
"Son of a bitch," I said as I pulled my hand close to my chest. The angel then kicked me in the side sending me flying. I landed on the ground hard and I rolled onto my back in pain. She walked over to me as I tried to get up. The angel placed a foot on my chest and pushed me to the ground.
Using my other hand I tried pushing her foot off, but to my disappointment, it failed.
"Nighty night, abomination." She said raising the blade and then bringing it down. I closed my eyes tight and waited for the impact. But it never came.
I opened my eyes slowly to find the angel frozen. Quitely I got out from under her foot and backed up a bit.

"That was brilliant." A blonde haired man with a French accent said walking from behind the angel. I shook my head.
"I-I didn't do anything..." I said as the man looked from the angel to me.
"What do you mean you 'didn't do anything'? You froze her. It might do her some good. Ariuk was always a little hotheaded."
"W-well I didn't freeze her...now if you'll excuse me I'd like to go find my friend now," I said picking up my gun from the ground.
"What if I told you I was a friend of your friend." He said as I walked over to my flashlight.
"I might tell you to go to hell," I said picking the flashlight up. I stood up and looked around to find him gone. The sound of flapping wings was heard and I turned around to find the man standing there.
"What if I told you I was a friend of your old friend. I believe you called him Angel?" My eyes widened a bit. "S-so what? He left me and I moved on. Now please leave me alone." I said walking towards the door.
The man appeared in front of me in the sound of flapping wings. "I can't do that, love." He said placing a hand on my shoulder and we both disappeared in the sound of flapping wings. We reappeared and I fell to the ground.
"What the hell," I said standing up and backing away from the man. "Look I know this has brought back memories and all but he has asked me to bring you here."
"Why? Why after 14 years has he decided to torment me? And why can't he do it himself?" I shouted as tears welled up in my eyes.

"And why are angels trying to kill me? Why do they want to kill Loki? He's a demigod for Christ sake! And what are you? Are you another angel?" The man nodded.
"Yes...yes I am an angel. My name is Balthazar. And I will answer all the question you have. Please come sit down." He said walking over to the black couch.
Hesitantly I walked over and sat down. "Would you like anything to drink?" Balthazar asked me. I shook my head. He nodded and sat down in the armchair to my right. We stayed quiet for a while before I got up the nerve to talk.
"Do you know where that other angel took Loki?"
Balthazar shook his head as he leaned back in his seat. "No. But Loki can take care of himself. This isn't the first time his wrestled with angels." I nodded and tapped my finger on the black leather.
"You said you know my Ang-him."
"All too well," He said with annoyance in his voice.
"Then you know his name. Can you tell me it?" I asked leaning forward in my seat. Balthazar sighed.
"I'm afraid I can't, dear. He has asked me not to tell you who he is so he can himself. When he means to do this, I don't know. Maybe soon. I've told him to grow a pair and do it." I huffed and played with my necklace.
"Sounds about right," I said making him chuckle. "...Do you know why after all these years he wants to see me again?"
"Well, he's missed you. I can tell. And you remember our dear friend Ariuk from a few hours ago? Well angels like her want you died. He wants you here so he can protect you." I huffed in annoyance.
"I can do that myself."
"And I'm sure you can dear. But I'm just following orders." Balthazar said crossing his legs.
"Can you tell me why angels are after me?" I asked getting a bit angry.
"Are you sure you want me to tell you, love? It's not very pretty." He said making me nod my head. "Alright. Have you ever made things or people do what you want?" He asked me. I narrowed my eyes.
"What?"
Balthazar sighed and sat up in his sit. "I don't know how to even put this." He said running a hand through his hair.
"Just tell me. You don't need to sugar code it."
"Alright...Your-urg-you're a Cambion." Balthazar said running a hand over his face.
"A what?"
"An Antichrist, dear."

Rise for the Sky [Slow-Pace Multi-Lead Dungeon Crawler]
Sixty people have awoken at the bottom of a one hundred floor dungeon. Together they must confront the terror of monsters and seek the answers to why they are here. Expectations: This story is written from multiple perspectives, male and female. Most chapters are a single person, but there will be chapters where there are a couple of quick scenes with different people. The story does take place in a dungeon, but there is no leveling system. This a realistic take on the classic litRPG and iskai tropes written like a traditional novel. There is a profanity warning because I wish to be natural with how people talk and cursing is a thing people do. So it will happen where it makes sense. Gore is warned because this is a realistic take, and people will be torn apart by monsters. I don't plan to be overly detailed with it but be warned it will happen. Updates Every Monday. Chapters will be between 3,000 to 5,000 words. Fulfill Patreon goals to increase updates
