"Don't, she'll be pissed."
"She'll live and besides, it will be hilarious."
Sam stood at the edge of Cansas's bed with crossed arms as his brother held a cup of freezing cold water. Dean looked to his brother and started to count backward from three to one. Once he got to one he turned and poured the water on Cansas's face.
I woke up with a start as I felt something cold and wet hit my face. I went to stand up but my feet got stuck in the blankets and I fell off my bed and onto the floor with a groan. As my senses started to work again I could hear two people laughing.
I opened my eyes and looked up to find Dean stood above me with a cup and Sam standing at the edge of my bed, both laughing. I growled as I kicked the blanket off myself. I stood up and before I could get angry I took a deep breath.
"Thank you boys, for that lovely wake up call. Now if you'll excuse me I'd like to take a shower."
As I said this it became more of a growl than talking. "You should have seen it. That was priceless." Dean said doubling over in laughter. I took another deep breath so I wouldn't lash out at him and quickly made my way to the bathroom. I slammed the door behind myself. Once in the bathroom I waiting until I heard the brothers leave.
When they were gone I let out a deep breath. I got undress and hopped in the shower. After a few minutes in the shower, I got out and dried off. I walked out of my room and grabbed out of my blue bag a teal shirt, white pants, and my white shoes. I changed and walked back into the bathroom.
I picked my hairbrush up and started to brush my hair until I saw the color pink. I looked in the mirror to find my whole head had been changed bright pink.
"DEAN!"
I barged out of my room and then to the brother's room, red in the face. They both looked up from what they were doing and Dean started to laugh.

"What happened?" Sam asked standing up and going to walk over to me but I walked past him and picked up one of Dean's heavy shoes.
"You know my hair is my everything!" I shouted throwing the shoe at him. It hit Dean right in the chest and it knocked the wind out of him.
"What was that for?!" Dean asked getting up from his bed. I picked up another shoe.
"My hair!" I threw the other shoe but he ducked and it hit the wall behind him.
"I didn't touch it! I know how you feel about your hair! I would never touch it!"
I turned to Sam who shook his head. "Well who hair dye in my shampoo!?" Both Sam and Dean looked at each other. I growled and stormed out of their room. I walked back into my room and slammed my door shut. I ran a hand through my now pink hair and took a deep breath in and out. My window opened suddenly and wind blew into my room.
I ran over and shut the window. "Okay..." I said to myself as I turned away from the window. My sketchbook had been opened and on one of the pages with one of the many angel drawings sat a piece of paper in the shape of a heart and attached to it was a peppermint cane. I walked over to it and picked the candy up. On the heart-shaped paper was one word. Sorry...
Placing the paper on the table I narrowed my eyes. Maybe one of them had placed it there before they left my room. I picked my sketchbook up as well as a pencil and made my way out of my room yet again. I knocked on the brother's door and in a few seconds, Sam answered.
"Cansas." I smiled slightly. "Uh...may I come in?" Sam nodded and let me in. I stood close to the door as it was shut. Dean looked over at me.
"Come to throw another shoe at me?" He asked making me tighten my grip on my sketch pad.
"No...I just came to say I was sorry. Its just...my hair is like your car and if someone colored her pink..." Dean nodded. "I get it."

"So...what are you guys doing next?"
The three of us had made our way back to the bar we were at last night.
"I am not going to humor him," I said looking up at Dean and Sam. "He wasn't abducted by aliens!" I whisper shouted.
"We know that, but if something else did..."
I sighed and walked over to the student sitting at the table by himself. The guy looked up at me as I sat down in front of him. "What do you want?" The guy asked as I placed my sketchbook on the table. I pulled my fake ID out of my back pocket and opened it to show him.
"Criminal sketch artist Parker," I said putting the ID back in my pocket before flipping to an empty page in my sketchbook. The kid looked at me confused. "We would just like a clear version of what you saw," I said picking my pencil up.
"Like I said to...nevermind." He said picking up one of the many shot glasses that sat in front of him and drank it. "Nevermind? I was told you were abducted by aliens." The kid looked at me before looking back down at his shots.
"Come on. I don't have all day. How about you start by describing what the head looked like."
After the student was done explaining what he saw I was stuck with a drawing of an alien in my sketchbook. I sighed and turned it around to show him. He nodded and looked away. I closed my sketchbook and stood up. "Well, thank you for your time, sir," I said walking back over to Dean and Sam.
"He just explained an alien. Your turn." I said as the brothers sighed. They stood up and walked over to him. I sat down and watched as they talked to him for few minutes. After they got all they needed they walked back to me and I stood up.
"He slow danced with one of them," Dean said. I shook my head and grabbed my jacket from on the table.
"Okay let's go check the site out," Sam said as he started to head out of the bar. I quickly put my jacket on and followed the two brothers.
We made our way to the college and over to where the alien abduction. We stood on some stairs as we stared at a saucer-shaped burn mark on the grass. "What the hell? I'm so done with this case." I said looking away from the site. "Agreed." Both the brothers said. My phone started to ring so I pulled it out of my jacket pocket.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey, it's me, Gabriel." I smiled and turned away from the Winchesters.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Nothing much. I was wounding if you'd like to go to lunch or something?"
"Of course. I would love to. When and where would you like me to meet you?"
"Anytime and at the front of the school."
"Would now be a good time?"
"Yep. I'll see you soon."
"See ya," I said hanging up. I put my phone back in my pocket as I turned back to face Sam and Dean to find them both looking at me.
"What?"
"You're going on a date? With who?" Sam asked.
"Is it the janitor from last night?" Dean asked crossing his arms.
"I wouldn't call it a date and yes the guy from last night,"
"Do you even know the guy's name?" Dean asked me bitterly.
"Yes I do and you don't need to know," I said crossing my arms. "Do you have a gun? Knife?" Dean asked.
I sighed. "Yes, Dean. Now I have to go." I said waving to them before walking past them and up to the school. I waited at the bottom of the stairs for a few seconds. "Hey, Cansas." I turned to see Gabriel making his way over to me.
"Hey," I said once he got to me. We were then pulled into a few seconds of silence. "You colored your hair pink."I rubbed the back of my head. "Yeah...it was...very unexpected,"
"Well, I think it looks very good," Gabriel said making me smile. "Thank you."
"So, there's this tiny diner I wanted to bring you. The foods great."
"Sounds good,"
"Okay. And off we go."

A Primeval Future
Follow the story of a modern caveman as he learns to survive, thrive, and shape his nascent civilization in a world yet untouched by man. Expect a focus on the nitty-gritty of primitive living, especially early on. I plan for this to eventually progressing to the settlement management and politics stage as people gravitate towards the one guy who looks like he knows what he's doing, but this will likely take some time. Despite the occasional system elements, skilling and levels will not be a part of this story. No shortcuts. There will be violence and there will be sexuality but there will be no sexual violence. I hate reading that crap and I hate writing it even more. This is my first serious foray into writing. I plan to put out at least 1 chapter a week, more when I can. Constructive criticism is very much welcomed as are ideas and suggestions! Cover image credit: "Mesolithic camp site" by Wessex Archaeology is licensed with CC BY-NC 2.0. Lost Things
"In this disordered continent, where everyone seeks to be the heroes of their own tales, there are still some rooms for smaller stories to breathe." "Past, present, and future—keep your eyes open, and see where they lead you to." This story follows three housemates’ lives: Carson Calding, Virgil Barion, and John Salore—onto their adventures of finding Carson’s past, Virgil’s present, and John’s future. Despite their clashing backgrounds and circumstances that forced them together, they’re definitely going to find the things they had lost, for sure. Each entire chapter will be updated biweekly. There'll be three smaller parts per each chapter. Note that this story was written to be an interactive one, with polls at the end of each parts deciding on what happens next. Though, the polls for this story won't be available on Royal Road updates. (I also upload this in Arcane Odyssey forum, and it's currently the only place where I open the polls and use the poll results from.)
